Harry, Ron, and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their second year, which proves to be more challenging than the last. The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, leaving students and ghosts petrified by an unleashed monster. Harry must face up to claims that he is the heir of Salazar Slytherin , learn that he can speak Parseltongue, and also discover the properties of a mysterious diary, only to find himself trapped within the Chamber of Secrets itself.

Background To The Series
The books concern the adventures of Harry Potter at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and his struggle against the evil villain of the books, Lord Voldemort. Harry is aided in this by his school friends, notably Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, and by various adults including the school’s headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Harry, by accident of birth and a prophecy foretelling his importance, has become the centre of all attention by both sides in the long running war between Dumbledore’s Order of the Phoenix and Ministry of Magic on one side, and Voldemort’s Death Eaters on the other.
Harry Potter And The Relics Of Death
Before the book was officially published, it became apparent that many people advertising the book in non-English-speaking countries without being able to read it, were having much difficulty working out what the words “deathly hallows” mean, when translating the title. As a result, Rowling authorised the alternative title “Harry Potter and the Relics of Death” to translate.

Hermione is distraught upon Ron’s departure, and Harry is angry, but the two of them realise they will have to continue without him. After many more listless weeks, they make their way to Godric’s Hollow on the off-chance Dumbledore left the sword there for them, with Bathilda Bagshot, author of A History of Magic. Arriving in Godric’s Hollow on Christmas Eve, the two first visit the graveyard where both Harry and Dumbledore’s families are buried. After sharing an emotional moment and laying a wreath on Harryâs parents’ grave, they visit the memorial to Harry’s family, and then encounter the historian Bathilda, who was an old family friend of the Dumbledores.
Is There A New Harry Potter Movie Coming Out
The three actors will not be reprising their roles in the TV special, but will rather be there as themselves to discuss the making of the films, much like the recent Friends reunion to commemorate the hit sit-com.
As a result, this is not a sign of an upcoming new Harry Potter movie on the horizon.
Nonetheless, for those who need an extra kick of the Wizarding World on the big screen, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is due for a 2022 release, on April 8th.
The Fantastic Beasts series is set in the same universe as Harry Potter, but several years earlier.
It doesnt feature any of the original core cast, but there are references to some familiar names and faces, most notably a younger version of Albus Dumbledore himself, played by Jude Law.
This is the closest we are likely to get to a new Harry Potter film for now, as there are no confirmed details about any other Potter-related projects.

Fantastic Beasts 3 Trailer: Any Fantastic Beasts 3 Footage Yet
Filming might have finished, but were no closer to any footage from Fantastic Beasts 3 yet, were afraid.
The first teaser trailer for The Crimes of Grindelwald was released in March 2018, eight months ahead of the sequels release. A similar timeline would put the first trailer for the threequel landing in December 2021.
Thats speculative for now, but Warner Bros does have some big movies later this year, including The Matrix 4, that it could be promoted with.

Chapter 2: The Second Task

Harry explains what happened the previous night to Ron and Hermione. Even though Harry and Ron suspect Snape might have put Harry’s name in the Goblet of Fire, Hermione doubts this. Harry also sends a school owl to Sirius to update him on what happened.
Over the coming weeks, even with help from Hermione and Ron as well as the library’s resources , Harry struggles to think of a way to breathe underwater for an hour. Two days before the second task is to start, Sirius’s response comes in. Sirius wants to know when their next trip to Hogsmeade is.
On the last night before the task, the trio are continuing their research in the school library when Fred and George appear to inform them that Professor McGonagall has summoned Ron and Hermione. Harry later sneaks back into the library after hours with his Invisibility Cloak, but can’t find anything else.

The Weighing Of The Wands
- Harry and Draco’s attempted attacks on each other with the spells Furnunculus and Densaugeo, respectively, are omitted.
- Harry receives the letter from Sirius in the Gryffindor Tower in the book, but in the film, he receives it in the Owlery. Additionally, the owl in the film has a tendency to bite people, which the owl in the book does not do.
Chapter 3: Priori Incantatem

Voldemort challenges Harry to a duel. After Harry refuses to bow to the Dark Lord, Voldemort uses the Imperius Curse on Harry to force him to. Though Harry gives in the first time, the second time he manages to shake the curse off, much to the astonishment of the Death Eaters present.
When the duel begins, something miraculous happens. Voldemort and Harry’s wands are “brothers”, due to the fact that their wands’ cores are both feathers from the same phoenix. As the wands spells meet in the air and interlock, a Priori Incantatem effect occurs. This causes the spirit echoes of Voldemort’s victims, including Harry’s parents, to spill out from his wand. The echoes momentarily protect Harry, allowing him to grab the portkey and escape to Hogwarts with Cedric’s body.

Chapter : The Third Task

Harry passes on the information he learned from the Pensieve to Ron and Hermione, excluding the details about Neville’s parents. Hermione realises this is what Rita Skeeter and Winky meant about Ludo Bagman being a dark wizard. That same night, Harry’s hatred of Voldemort reaches a new height because of what he learned from the Pensieve. As the task approaches, Ron and Hermione find time when they are not studying for their final exams to help Harry. Even McGonagall helps by allowing him to practise in her empty classroom during lunchtime. During one practice session, Ron notices Malfoy outside the castle sitting by a tree and doing something odd. Harry and Hermione also see him before they return to practice. Sirius sends Harry messages by owl each day, reminding Harry to focus on what is ahead.
On the day of the third task, Rita Skeeter releases an article claiming Harry is demented and dangerous. She uses a quote from Draco Malfoy in the article. This raises some questions between the trio, since the article mentions Harry’s scar hurting during Divination. The class takes place in the North Tower and Skeeter is not allowed inside Hogwarts, so she shouldn’t have had that information. Hermione finally figures out how Skeeter may be getting her information and leaves to put her theory to the test.
Design And Special Effects
Judianna Makovsky served as the costume designer. She re-designed the Quidditch robes, having initially planned to use those shown on the cover of the American book, but deemed them “a mess.” Instead, she dressed the Quidditch players in “preppie sweaters, 19th-century fencing breeches and arm guards.” Production designer Stuart Craig built the sets at Leavesden Studios, including Hogwarts Great Hall, basing it on many English cathedrals. Although originally asked to use an existing old street to film the Diagon Alley scenes, Craig decided to build his own set, comprising Tudor, Georgian and Queen Anne architecture.
Columbus originally planned to use both animatronics and CGI animation to create the magical creatures, including Fluffy. Nick Dudman, who worked on Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, was given the task of creating the needed prosthetics, with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop providing creature effects. John Coppinger stated that the magical creatures that needed to be created had to be designed multiple times. The film features nearly 600 special effects shots, involving numerous companies. Industrial Light & Magic created Lord Voldemort‘s face on the back of Quirrell, Rhythm & Hues animated Norbert and Sony Pictures Imageworks produced the Quidditch scenes.

Thomas and , with their grown-up son Tom Riddle Senior, have been considered the most unpopular people occupying the Riddle House, located on a hill overlooking the Yorkshire County village of Little Hangleton, many decades ago. Thomas was a snobbish squire who had the worst attitude that nobody wanted in a village leader, while Mary did retailing for Lady Margaret Nurseries branch of the British Association of Garden Centres. The story begins in of 1943, where an absurd tragedy happened inside the house that nobody is able to find out how it happened. When the Riddles’ maid goes to work that day, she discovers all three Riddles dead in the drawing room, “still in their dinner things”. The police find no evidence of murder or suicide, claiming to be in perfect health except for the fact that they were dead. They arrest the Riddles’ gardener Frank Bryce for questioning, since the door and windows was not forced open or shattered on the night of their murder, and the Riddles’ cook testified that he was the only one with a key to the house. Frank, however, said the only person he saw that night was a mysterious dark-haired boy, and was released due to lack of evidence, but many still believed he committed the murders.
Weekend Predictions: Will Fantastic Be Fantastic Or Will It Merely Be A Beast At The Box Office
At the beginning of the month, we thought there would be four wide releases / expansions this week. However, it turns out there will be just one, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The lack of wide releases should help it at the box office and there is a small chance it could top $100 million over the next three days. While there are no other wide releases, there are a few films opening or expanding semi-wide. Of these, The Edge of Seventeen is the only one with a realistic shot at the top five. It is earning the best reviews of the week and did earn a lot of film festival buzz, so that should help. Billy Lynns Long Halftime Walk had an amazing opening in limited release last weekend, but it will likely struggle as it expands into just over 1,000 theaters this weekend. Finally theres Bleed for This, which is expected to barely make the top ten. This weekend last year, the final installment of the Hunger Games franchise opened with just over $100 million. Theres a slim chance Fantastic Beasts will do the same. Even if it doesnt, the depth this year is much better than last year and that should help 2016 win in the year-over-year comparison. More…

The Parting Of The Ways
- The fate of Barty Crouch Jnr is unknown, as he is last seen being held prisoner by his former comrade Severus Snape and his being kissed was a critical part of Fudge’s denial that Voldemort was back.
- Since the Hospital Wing scene was omitted, in which Fudge is claimed to have performed the Dementor’s Kiss and was doubting the story purported by Dumbledore and Harry, it creates a strange consistency error in the next film that just makes it seem like Fudge wanted to create a random smear campaign against Harry, even though he had not been told that Voldemort had returned at any point, yet he seemed to already know this during Harry’s later hearing. However, the only hint of the Ministry wishing to cover up the truth was mentioned during Dumbledore’s memorial speech for Cedric.
When Was Harry Potter Written
The first Harry Potter book was published in 1997, after several years of Ms Rowling pitching the book to different publishers.
The seven-book series then came to its conclusion ten years later, with a publication date of July 14th 2007.
Much of the writing was done in Edinburgh, with the final book reportedly being written from a suite in the Balmoral Hotel.

Chapter : Mayhem At The Ministry

The next morning, the group quickly departs the campsite and arrives at the Burrow, where a worried Mrs Weasley greets them. Mrs Weasley shows them the Daily Prophet article covering last night’s attack, which is filled with some inaccurate details penned by Rita Skeeter, a journalist well known for her heavily negative stories. This forces Mr Weasley to head to the Ministry with Percy to straighten things out, as he is indirectly mentioned in the article.
Heading into Ron’s room, Harry tells Ron and Hermione about his scar hurting and his letter to Sirius, as well as the dream. The three remark on how strange it is that Harry’s scar hurt so soon before the Dark Mark appeared for the first time in thirteen years.
On the final day before they are to return to Hogwarts, Harry hears that the Ministry of Magic has come under heavy fire for failing to stop the riot at the Quidditch World Cup or arrest any of the culprits because of Rita Skeeter’s article. Mr Weasley mentions that Rita is also attacking the Ministry because of the disappearance of Bertha Jorkins. Meanwhile, Ron is dismayed by his hideous hand-me-down dress robes, which he will need to wear at Hogwarts for a formal occasion later in the year.
Harry And Hermione In The Library
Harry are with Hermione in the Library the day before the first task. They are trying to figure out how Harry is to defeat the dragon. Hermione gets irritated at a group of girls spying on Krum and Harry overhears Draco reading the Rita Skeeter interview aloud to his friends. Hermione whacks one of her books at Harry unknowingly. She uses Accio to pick it up again and gets the idea that Harry could use this in the first task.
At the Welcome to the Magical School II Convention, Stanislav Janevski was interviewed by La Gazette Du Sorcier. They asked him about the photo of Viktor Krum lifting the golden egg.
GdS: A photo of Viktor Krum holding the golden egg of the First Task has been revealed, although this scene has never been incorporated into the films. What was it ?Stan never shot the entire scene of his fight against the Chinese Blaster. However, Mike Newell initially planned to show a shot of each of the victorious champions wielding the egg stolen from the dragon. It is from this moment of the shooting that the photo is taken: Stan just had to grab the egg. We can therefore imagine that such images also exist with Robert Pattinson and Clémence Poésy to illustrate the success of the other two champions.
