Most recently he was arrested for participation in the 2011 England riots, and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Harry Potter Cast Members You May Not Know Passed Away
After the original series of Harry Potter novels started topping bestsellers’ lists in the late 1990s, a film franchise was pretty much an inevitability. The first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone , was released in 2001, leading to a decade-long Potter marathon at theaters and box offices across the globe.
With child stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint leading the films as Harry himself and his two best friends Ron and Hermione, the younger actors in the Potter franchise were supported by some of England’s finest actors, including Dame Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Jim Broadbent, Emma Thompson, and more. From Potions masters to Ministry officials to magical creatures, here’s a list of Harry Potter cast members you may not know passed away. Spoilers for theHarry Potterseries to follow!
How Old Is Ron Weasley
Ronald Bilius Ron Weasley was born on March 1, 1980, and he was the sixth and youngest son of Arthur and Molly Weasley and an English pure-blood-born wizard. He was also Bills, Charlies, Percys, Freds, and Georges younger brother, as well as Ginnys older brother.
The twins delighted in teasing Ron, as did his younger sister Ginny, though they were all close. Ron was terribly protective of Ginny, which we can notice clearly when she was seeing Dean who made her cry very often. So Ron had the right to intervene, or at least he thought so.

Hes Pretty Sure It Was The Prop Guys Who Wrote His Name For The Goblet Of Fire Scene Because He Has Bad Handwriting
During a Reddit AMA, Radcliffe revealed, You know what, I don’t think we did I’m pretty sure. Because I think that by that point, they had figured out my handwriting was so bad that they would never let it be seen in the film. So I’m pretty sure one of the props guys wrote Harry Potter neatly on a piece of paper for me to put in.
There’s A Reason Harry Potter’s Eyes Weren’t Green In The Movies
So that Radcliffe could look as much as the green-eyed Boy Wizard described in the books, the original plan was for Radcliffe to wear contact lenses. However, he had a terrible allergic reaction and the idea was scrapped. They were prepared to go through the expensive process of digitally altering his eyes in post-production, but J.K. Rowling said the color wasn’t essential as long as he had “his mother’s eyes.”

Harry Potter And The Half
In the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry enters a tumultuous puberty that, Rowling says, is based on her and her younger sister’s own difficult teenage years. Rowling also made an intimate statement about Harry’s personal life: “Because of the demands of the adventure that Harry is following, he has had less sexual experience than boys of his age might have had.” This inexperience with romance was a factor in Harry’s failed relationship with Cho. Now his thoughts concern Ginny, and a vital plot point in the last chapter includes Harry ending their budding romance to protect her from Voldemort.
This book also focuses on the mysterious activities of Harry’s rival Draco Malfoy. Voldemort has coerced a frightened Malfoy into attempting to kill Dumbledore. During a duel in Moaning Myrtle‘s bathroom, Harry uses the Half-Blood Prince’s spell, Sectumsempra, on Malfoy, who suffers near-fatal injuries as a result. Harry is horrified by what he has done and also comes to feel sympathy for Draco, after learning he was forced to do Voldemort’s bidding under the threat of his and his parents’ deaths.

He Noted That Working With Chris Columbus On The First Two Films Then Being Directed By Alfonso Cuarn In Prisoner Of Azkaban Was Very Different
I mean, it was. It was very different. But it was also like, I think its the best decision that was ever made for the series, Radcliffe told The Huffington Post. Because it just changed how people saw us and it changed the perception of what we were trying to do. Oh, theyre trying to make something different! He had just come off Y Tu Mamá También, so that was peoples frame of reference for Alfonso.
Albus Dumbledore Was First Played By Richard Harris
Richard Harris played Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts’ Headmaster, in “Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Chamber of Secrets.”
At the time, Harris was a well-established actor best known for roles in films like “Camelot” , “Juggernaut” , “Gulliver’s Travels” , “Unforgiven” , and “Gladiator” .
He also appeared in “The Pearl” and “The Count of Monte Cristo” in between the first two “Harry Potter” films.
Colin Creevey Hugh Mitchell
The Harry Potter obsessed kid-photographer, Colin Creevey, had a memorable role in Chamber of Secrets, but unfortunately didnt get a cameo during the Battle of Hogwarts . Creevey actor Hugh Mitchell has had a low-key acting life since Potter. He appeared as young Silas in The Da Vinci Code, as well as tv appearances in some British favorites including Parades End, The White Queen, and Wallander. If you like landscape photography though, has plenty of it.
Cormac Mclaggen Freddie Stroma
Freddie Stroma may not have had a large part in the Harry Potter series, but he left an impression. Its hard to forget his less than subtle romantic advances towards Hermione in Half-Blood Prince, of which Stroma played with the perfect amount of charm and slime. After Deathly Hallows, Stroma earned a role in Pitch Perfect, Game of Thrones, Unreal, and is set to be in Bridgerton alongside Julie Andrews, airing sometime this year.
Completion Of The Series
In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, 2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series. Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 January 2007.
Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book was completed in something like 1990. In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character got a reprieve and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.
In September 2012, Rowling mentioned in an interview that she might go back to make a directors cut of two of the existing Harry Potter books.

Harry Potter: Every Actor To Play Lord Voldemort
Lord Voldemort is the arch-antagonist of the entire Harry Potter story, but the dark wizard was portrayed by a number of actors on the big screen.
Lord Voldemort is one of the most famous characters in the Harry Potter book and movie franchise, but he’s been portrayed by a succession of different actors on the big screen. Initially spoken of in hushed tones, J.K. Rowling introduces the legend of Voldemort in the very first book, depicting a fearsome wizard who terrorized the entire magic world, only to be defeated while attempting to kill a young Harry Potter.
After his clash with the most dangerous baby of all time, Voldemort loses his physical form and spends the first few books attempting a revival. The first time fans witness Voldemort, he’s secreted on the rear side of a teacher’s head, for example, and can later be seen as a deformed, blanket-covered bundle of evil. Only in The Goblet of Fire does Voldemort regain his true form, and this regular changing of appearance necessitated a series of actors when adapting Harry Potter for film. Furthermore, Rowling often delves back into Voldemort’s past as the Hogwarts student Tom Riddle, resulting in an even wider selection of actors playing the villain.
While one or two Voldemort actors are widely known, others may only be recognizable by sight, and some perhaps flew under the radar altogether. Here are all the actors who played Lord Voldemort on the big screen.
