Did Fred Or George Die In Harry Potter

Don't Miss

Fred Was Usually The Instigator

Fred Weasley | Death

Whenever the Weasley twins did something particularly naughty it always seemed to be Fred who took the lead. When the twins and Ron broke Harry out of Privet Drive in his second year, it was Fred who was driving the flying Ford Anglia. He was usually the one behind even the smaller pranks Fred was the one who liberated a salamander from Care of Magical Creatures so they could try to feed it a Filibuster Firework, and Fred was the one who accidentally dropped a Ton-Tongue Toffee in front of Dudley. It was Fred who had the idea to use Ageing Potion to put their names in the Goblet of Fire, and was the first to cross the age line to try it. Fred was also the twin who talked back to Umbridge, and initiated their final flight from Hogwarts.

Never Having Much Remorse For Their Actions

While Fred and George might be pranksters at heart, they never seem to feel bad about their more extreme pranks. They dont really think that much about others, and they can go too far when it comes to making people laugh or pulling a joke. While some of the things they do are just fun or silly, they should have a little more shame when it comes to pulling pranks that could hurt other people.

George Ran Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes With Ron’s Help

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, the joke shop that Fred and George created together instead of finishing their final years at Hogwarts, was an instant success. It came after years of the twins creating new spells and jokes, testing products and marketing on Hogwarts students and generally learning to be successful businessmen. While Harry may have helped with the funding, the two were destined to succeed, with their flair for business, popularity and fun personalities.

After the devastating loss of his best friend, brother and business partner, George was left to run the store alone. Luckily, his younger brother Ron stepped in to help him manage the booming business, making the two closer.

Harry Potter Movies Ruined Fred Weasley’s Death

Pin on Harry Potter

Some of the changes the Harry Potter series did weren’t for the best, as is the case of Fred Weasley’s death, which had a bigger impact in the book.

The Harry Potter movie series had to change a lot of details from the books, but one that fans wont forgive easily is Fred Weasleys death, as it happens very differently in the source material. The Harry Potter book series began in 1997 with Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, which introduced readers around the world to the Wizarding World and the characters that would quickly become very close to Harry: Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The latter formed a strong bond with Harry, who was considered by Rons parents and siblings as one of them.

In the first book , the world met the Weasley twins, Fred and George. Rons older brothers were Hogwarts trouble-makers but in a fun and harmless way they were pranksters and were known for their sense of humor, and even opened their own joke shop in Diagon Alley, called Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. The twins were pretty much inseparable, and very loyal to their friends, helping Harry any way they could, whenever he needed it. Unfortunately, they had a very sad ending.

When They Stole The Marauders Map

Because of the fact that Fred and George were always breaking rules, they had many run-ins with Argus Filch. So, when they were in his office at one point, its rather funny that they had enough of dealing with him and stole what looked like an interesting magical object.

Its also a good thing they did because this map allowed them to get up to a lot of pranks and trouble. This was really the start of some of the worst of their troublemaking.

Disobeying And Being Disrespectful Of Their Parents

Fred and George arent people that care very much about authority figures, and they definitely like to be independent and do their own thing.

While being disrespectful or disobeying parents is something that many people do when they’re young, they sometimes take things too far. They never seem to feel any remorse over things such as stealing the Ford Anglia to go rescue Harry. They are rather rude about their parents and don’t seem to have a problem with this.

J.K. Rowling has answered many fan questions regarding the fate of her characters following the events at the Battle of Hogwarts, since the book only reveals the future of a handful of main characters. Here are some of the things we learned about the Weasley twins.

Putting Montague Into The Vanishing Cabinet

What Happened To George Weasley After Fred’s Death

Of all of Fred and Georges pranks, this is the one that is most dangerous. While Graham Montague is a Slytherin who is quite a bully and also a member of the Inquisitorial Squad, Fred and George should have been a little more careful. While Montague was probably a bad person, the fact they stuffed him in the Vanishing Cabinet and didnt even worry at all if he got injured or where he ended up is disturbing. At the very least, they should have had some shame as they could have gotten in big trouble if he died.

Creating Their Own Entire Line Of Joke Products

Along with the Skiving Snackboxes, Fred and George began to develop their own entire line of joke products by the time they were 16. This shows just how talented they were and how committed they were to making this their career.

This isn’t exactly one specific joke or prank, but these products allowed them to joke with a lot of people. One example is when they would leave their joke wands around that would turn into these like rubber chickens. And, by eventually opening their own joke shop, they were able to promote pranks and jokes all around in the Harry Potter world.

George Was The Better Quidditch Player

While both Fred and George were excellent Beaters, and a credit to the Gryffindor Quidditch team, there were more mentions of George hitting Bludgers than there were of Fred. George seemed to be the slightly more aggressive of the two on the Quidditch pitch, described once as hitting a Bludger at a player as a way of vent his feelings, and retaliating for a foul by elbowing a Slytherin Beater in the face. He even had good aim with snowballs. Aggression may, of course, be a very desirable trait in a Beater, so it could be this that gave George the edge over his brother. It was probably a healthy outlet for George, too, as off the pitch he was usually the more compassionate of the two.

Order Of The Phoenix Members

George also became a member of the Order of the Phoenix during the Second Wizarding War. The Order was an organisation led by Albus Dumbledore in order to fight Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. George had a good relationship with most members of the order.

He and Fred were both friends of Sirius Black. Sirius was friendly with them, but he argued with the twins . Sirius was killed by Bellatrix Lestrange during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996. The twins were saddened by his death, but tried not to remind Harry about it.

They were also friends of Remus Lupin, whom they first met in 1993, when he was Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. They considered him among the best teachers of this lesson they had ever had. Lupin fought with the twins in many battles of the Second War, and was killed in the final battle, along with Fred. Their bodies were put near each other’s in the Great Hall.

Another member of the Order that they knew was Nymphadora Tonks. Tonks and the twins were close in age, and they were friendly. They fought together in the Battle of the Seven Potters and the Battle of Hogwarts. Tonks was killed during the final battle, too. Her body was put near Fred’s, as well as Lupin’s, after their death.

Battle of the Seven Potters

George: “Saintlike. . . I’m holey. I’m holey Fred, ya geddit?
Fred: “With the whole wide world of ear-related humour, you go for ‘I’m holey’. Pathetic.
George: “Reckon I’m still better looking than you.
George joking about losing his ear in the battle.

George and Fred both joined the Order of the Phoenix once they were of age. They participated in the Battle of the Seven Potters, taking Polyjuice Potion to become one of the “seven Potters”. George flew with Remus Lupin on a broomstick and lost an ear due to an off-target Sectumsempra spell fired by Severus Snape. However, he took this optimistically, and turned it into a joke, calling himself “holey” and also saying his mother would now be able to tell the difference between them.

Wedding of Bill and Fleur

That same summer was his brother Bill‘s wedding to Fleur Delacour. George attempted to flirt with two “pretty French girls” who came to the Burrow to attend, but, unfortunately for George, Fred got to them first, leaving George to deal with a gaggle of middle-aged witches.

Lavender’s situation is left with a bit of uncertainty, as she may have technically been alive when Harry last saw her, though her situation looked grim. She was last scene being attacked by werewolf Fenrir Greyback. Harry noted that her body was “feebly stirring” after Hermione fought Fenrir off. However, she presumably died of her injuries. Though she was never a major character in the series, her death was likely devastating to her best friend, fellow Gryffindor, Parvati Patil.

In previous years, J.K. Rowling has offered up an apology for one major Harry Potter character in observance of the Battle of Hogwarts. However, this year, the author opted to forgo the tradition and instead, in recognition of the COVID-19 pandemic, announce a sizable donation to two charities:

How Did George Deal With Fred’s Death?

When you read through the books you can see that it was almost always Fred who spoke first, usually a joke or a dramatic comment. He was the front man, the lead singer, the one who first got everyones attention. George was the slightly more level-headed twin who explained what his brother actually meant. Fred even passed George the task of explaining the to Harry when he could have done so himself. In fact, while Harry was close to both of the twins, he had longer conversations with George, who often explained events Harry might have missed, plans he and Fred had, or things Harry didnt quite understand. Fred and George really did complement each other perfectly.

Do You Know Wo Killed Fred

I think Augustus Rookwood killed him.
potterandtdi said:I found this on a Harry Potter wiki:Fred, along with his family and friends, returned to Hogwarts in the spring to participate in the final battle. He and George were assigned to defend the castle’s secret passages by Kingsley Shacklebolt. When the Death Eaters forced their way inside, Fred fought next to his brother Percy, who had recently been reconciled with the family and combatted his former boss, Imperiused Minister for Magic Pius Thicknesse. Fred was killed in an explosion possibly caused by Augustus Rookwood.

George Never Got Over Losing Fred

As anyone who has ever lost someone they are close to knows, it’s impossible to ever fully get over the loss of someone as close as a child or sibling. J.K. Rowling, who has previously stated that the twins were among her favorite characters, even said, “Well, I dont think that George would ever get over losing Fred, which makes me feel so sad.” But that doesn’t mean that he never finds happiness.

In the documentary J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life, the author drew a family tree of the Weasleys and explained, “A lot of readers ask me: was George all right? And of course he wouldn’t be all right, would he? That’s the reality. But I think that he married Angelina, who was actually Freds ex. Maybe its a bit unhealthy, but I think that they would have been happy as happy as he could be without Fred. I think he really would have felt like part of himself died.”

Fred Weasley: “We’ve just developed this more serious line. Funny how it happened…
George: “You wouldn’t believe how many people, even people who work at the Ministry, can’t do a decent Shield Charm… And then we thought we’d get into the whole area of Defence Against the Dark Arts, because it’s such a money spinner.

The inside of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes

Initially, Fred and George’s ambitions to open a joke shop came as a disappointment to their parents, who had hoped they would seek employment with the Ministry of Magic like their father. However, the spectacular success of the twins’ business, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, located at 93 Diagon Alley, immensely impressed his parents and made them proud. What had started out as a mail-order experiment in entrepreneurialism skyrocketed into a very lucrative undertaking. It was so successful, in fact, that in 1996, the twins had moved out of their childhood home and into a flat above the store. Later, the twins considered buying Zonko’s Joke Shop in Hogsmeade, which had closed the previous year.
