Universals Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn & Suites
Universals Endless Summer Resort is made up of two value hotels Surfside Inn & Suite and Dockside Inn & Suites.
Both of the hotels are relatively similar in their pricing, facilities and amenities.
However, Surfside is located on the corner of International Drive and Universal Blvd opposite Walgreens and as such is ever so slightly closer to the Universal Studios Orlando Resort than its Dockside counterpart.
While this hotel is a Universal Studios-owned property it is not on the Universal Studios Resort.
However, guests staying here still benefit from all the basic on-site perks including complimentary transport to Universal Studios and Volcano Bay and early park admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Given this, walking to the entrance of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure from Universals Endless Summer Surfside Inn & Suites takes approximately 22 minutes.
To walk from Universals Endless Summer Surfside to Universal Studios CityWalk simply head out of the main entrance onto International Drive using the gate across the pathway at reception.
This will bring you out onto the main road with Walgreens across from you. Turn right and walk to the corner where International Drive meets Universal Blvd.
From there youll need to cross the road twice. The order in which you do this will likely depend on the lights.
You can either cross International Drive and then Universal Blvd, or Universal Blvd and then International Drive.

Doubletree By Hilton Hotel At The Entrance To Universal Orlando
Located north-east of the Universal Studios Orlando Resort youll find the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at the entrance to Universal Studios Orlando.
This is not an on-site, Universal Studios property unlike the previous six hotels featured on this list.
Yet, walking from the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel at the entrance to Universal Studios to CityWalk takes just 20 minutes.
To walk from this hotel to Universal Studios simply head out of the front entrance and towards the bridge you see in front of you.
This bridge takes you over S Kirkman Road and out onto Tom Williams Way. As you come down the bridge youll begin to see the Universal Studios Resort entrance sign and the theme park parking lot.
Carry along Tom Williams Way, noting Loews Portofino Bay through the trees on your right until you come to the crossroads.
Cross the crossroad onto Universal Blvd, and turn left. When you turn left youll note the Universal Studios parking lot on your left and the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando across the river through the trees on your right.
Continue walking along the pathway until you come to the valet parking entrance. Cross this road and walk a little further along until you see a sign and a small pathway on your right.
Walk through this pathway and youll come out at the entrance to the valet parking for Universal Studios Orlando.
However, there are no forks on the pathway so you should find navigating to the park entrance relatively straightforward.

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls, Universal’s Aventura Hotel and Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort are all located on Universal Orlando property. Meanwhile, Universal’s Endless Summer Surfside Inn & Suites and Universal’s Endless Summer Resort Dockside Inn and Suites are located just on the opposite side of Interstate 4, only a quick shuttle ride away.
The rest of the Universal Orlando hotels are all within walking distance of each other, the Universal Orlando theme parks and Universal CityWalk. On my last visit, I jog-hopped to each one of them for a bit of exercise. The proximity to other major Orlando attractions and the International Drive area is another Universal Orlando hotel benefit.
In terms of proximity to the theme parks, the Hard Rock Hotel is the closest to Universal Studios Florida. Loews Royal Pacific Resort is closest to Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel are closest to Universal’s Volcano Bay and have their own separate entrance to the water park. All official Universal Orlando hotel guests can use these entrances, but if you’re not staying at one of these hotels, it’s easier to take the bus.

Universals Loews Royal Pacific Resort
Situated on the other side of Universals CityWalk towards the entrance of Universals Islands of Adventure youll find Loews Royal Pacific Resort.
Walking from the pool entrance of Loews Royal Pacific Resort to the entrance of Universals Islands of Adventure at CityWalk takes just 8 minutes along the river under a number of bridges.
The route is on Universals Garden Walk and as such is incredibly scenic and well sign-posted.
Just before you arrive at CityWalk youll get to security and from there you can turn left towards Universals Islands of Adventure or right to CityWalk and Universal Studios Florida.
Being an on-site hotel theres also a complimentary shuttle to Universals Volcano Bay
and a water taxi to the landing dock at CityWalk.
Much like the Hard Rock Hotel, Universals Loews Royal Pacific Resort is a premium on-site hotel.
As such alongside the standard benefits of staying on-site, youll also be given complimentary Express Passes to use throughout your stay.
While this alongside the close proximity to the parks makes this hotel expensive compared to some alternatives on this list.
It also makes it fantastic value for money for those looking to skip the regular lines on rides and maximise their time in the park.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nearest Universal Orlando
If youve got spare IHG One Rewards points, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, which is a short walk from Universal, is a Universal Partner Hotel worth considering. It serves a free daily breakfast to all guests and its a pretty extensive spread. The hot entrees rotate between biscuits and gravy , pancakes and the brands signature cinnamon rolls. Plus, all meals for kids 11 and younger are free when children stay as registered guests.
Award rates at this IHG-affiliated property vary pretty dramatically, but you can typically reserve a room for between 16,000 and 34,000 IHG One Rewards points per night.

Premier Inn Watford North Hotel
There is free parking and a restaurant called the kitchen which needs to be booked in advance. The rooms do not have air conditioning. It is the closest premier inn to Harry Potter World being only 2.6 miles away. It is also close to the historical site of St Albans. So you could stay here and still see the Roman ruins.
Go Early And Stay Late
If you cant stay at a Universal property or book a partner hotel vacation package, plan on getting to Universal Orlando early and staying late. Given the cozy nature of its shops and attractions, it doesnt take very many people for Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley to start to feel pretty packed. To beat the crowds, its best to go to the parks during the non-peak times, which are first thing in the morning and just before closing .
Its possible that, on a very busy day, both morning and evening will still be crowded, but these remain the optimal times on a day like this, midday would be very crowded, and the lands might even close for capacity.

Review Premier Inn Hotels Near Harry Potter World
Having decided on a premier inn and also wanting to make the most of our weekend. I set about looking for options. And settled on St Albans as it was only a fifteen-minute drive from the city centre to Harry Potter World. But it also meant we could spend the day before our visit in the city exploring. It is not the closest Premier Inn near Harry Potter World but it is definitely the one if you want to turn your visit into a memorable family weekend away.
Being centrally located it is only a short walk from the main attractions in the city, including the Cathedral, park and Verluiam museum. Making it an ideal base to explore and also giving us the ability to walk out for dinner in the evenings. Although staying the two nights did add extra cost to our break it was really worth it.

Premier Inn in Kings Langley has family rooms and interconnecting rooms.
There is onsite parking and a breakfast room but no restaurant as such. The great thing about Premier Inn hotels is that kids eat free breakfast.
