Comparison Of Each Book In The Series
First, well look at the number of words for each book in the series. The first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, has 76,944 words. It has fewer words than the other six books, making it the shortest book in the series. Since this was the first book, Rowling had more time to edit the book and make the writing more concise. Plus, she probably didnt want to make the first book too long, or the publisher might not have accepted it. She was a new author at that point. Publishers usually dont accept long novels from first-time authors.
In comparison, each of the other six books are longer, likely due to the initial success of the Philosophers’s Stone, which within its first two years had sold more than 300,000 copies in the U.K. alone. According to Wikipedia, the American version, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone remained on the New York Times bestseller list for 79 consecutive weeks.
Due to the sales of the first book, the publishersBloomsbury for the British version and Scholastic for the American versionwanted more books about the world of Harry Potter from Rowling. They were willing to accept longer books because they knew to follow up books would sell well. The word count figures for the other six books, in order:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: 76,944 words.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: 198,227 words.
Friday Estimates: Fantastic Dominates Charts But With Just $297 Million
As expected, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them easily earned first place on Friday. However, it only managed $29.7 million, which was well below expectations. This is the worst opening day in the Harry Potter franchise since The Chamber of Secrets. The reviews are weaker than the franchise as a whole, but its CinemaScore is an A and thats roughly average for the previous 8 Harry Potter films. The film should still earn between $70 million and $75 million over the weekend, depending on if the high CinemaScore can overcome the Fanboy Effect. I would choose to be optimistic, but that hasnt worked out this weekend. More…

Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour
Fleur was interested in Bill during the Triwizard Tournament, watching him from across the room. In the summer of 1995, Fleur and Bill both worked at Gringotts and immediately began dating. The Weasleys were not happy with the match, as Fleur seemed stuck-up and posh. However, when Bill was injured by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback, Fleur proved to their families that her love was not skin-deep, staying by Bills side to help his recovery.
The pair got married in 1997 and fought together in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside the other Weasleys. They had three children, Victoire, Dominique, and Louis. Their relationship reaches 22 years as of 2017, the end of the final book.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part : $125 Million
Even people who werent Harry Potter fans felt they should check out the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 just to see what all the hype was about. The excitement for the final movie in the series was extremely high back in the summer of 2011 and, inevitably, it was a roaring success raking in $1,341,932,398 across the globe.
That was enough to make it the biggest movie of the year ahead of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Its an extremely emotional affair so, if youve yet to watch it, we recommend getting the tissues at the ready.

Released one year after Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Chris Columbus finished up his two-film run with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Columbus had previously worked well with children as a director on films like Home Alone and a writer on Goonies. He was perfect to launch the franchise.
This second movie continued Harry’s learning and discovery of magic. It also showed what dangers he faced in the future as the past of Lord Voldemort, the main antagonist of future movies, was dealt with here. The film made $879 million and was the second highest-grossing film of 2002.
The Best Harry Potter Movies Ranked From Worst To Wand

Find out where The Crimes of Grindelwald falls on our ranked list of the best Harry Potter movies
Trying to decide what are the best Harry Potter movies is such a dangerous endeavour that one can only liken it to an unaccompanied trip into the Forbidden Forest. The good news is that were going to follow the spiders together, which might make it a little less terrifying, but please keep your wand at the ready. Theres a simple reason why trying to rank the best Harry Potter movies is like a particularly fiendish O.W.L. Its easy to forget but due to how long it took to finish the series in film form, multiple generations of wizards literally grew up with these movies. Throw in the latest two Fantastic Beasts entries and these are formative film memories were playing with here, a magic that even Dumbledore himself would surely warn us against trying to fully understand.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
Two years later, it was time for the next Harry Potter movie to have the heroes step up and start to fight back. David Yates directed this film and remained with the franchise to the end. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix saw the rise of the powerful Order of the Phoenix to battle the Death Eaters, and Harry learned who his real allies were.
This was the step in Harry’s journey where he found himself betrayed, as the Ministry of Magic refused to believe Voldemort was back and left the Order to fight alone, which resulted in the death of Harry’s beloved godfather Sirius Black.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix: $150million
Also made on a budget of $150m was The Order of the Phoenix. Its the movie that introduces the repulsive Dolores Umbridge, sees Sirius Black tragically pass away, and also shows Harry extremely vulnerable as Lord Voldemort looks to isolate him and take control of the wizarding world while operating in the shadows.
The movie made more money than its predecessor, taking home $943,076,457 as opposed to the Goblet of Fires $897,099,794. However, it wasnt the most successful movie of 2007 with Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End triumphing in the box office battle instead.
Daily Box Office: Ralph Is Breaking Record Books
Its Thanksgiving long weekend, which means many studios are closed and are not reporting official numbers. However, one of the studios that is reporting numbers is Disney and they are reporting record-breaking numbers. Ralph Breaks the Internet earned $18.5 million on Wednesday, which is significantly more than either Coco or Moana managed the previous two years. In fact, this is more than Frozen managed during its record-breaking wide expansion back in 2013. This films reviews are great and it earned an A minus from CinemaScore, so it should have good legs and could top Frozens $93.59 million five-day opening. In fact, some studios think it has a real chance of $100 million during its five-day opening. Im not that bullish, but even if it only earns $90 million over five-days, it will still be a monster hit and way more than we predicted. More

Weekend Estimates: Ralph Slips Still Strong Hannah Tops Expectations Still Soft
Ralph Breaks the Internet will retain top spot on the weekend box office chart with an estimated $25.8 million for a two-week total of $119.3 million. Granted, this is lower than we predicted, but not so much lower than anyone at Disney should be panicking. Internationally, the film added an estimated $33.7 million in 27 markets, lifting its international total to $87.7 million after two weeks of release. Its only major market opening of the weekend was the U.K. where it reportedly earned $5.2 million. This is less than Wreck-It Ralph opened with, but that film debuted during the school holidays, so it got a boost. Ralph Breaks the Internet should have longer than average legs thanks to Christmas, but I dont think it will match its predecessor in this market. More

International Round Up: Harry Potter Puts A Spell On China Crosses $1 Billion Worldwide
The slow march to recovery at the box office continued in international markets at the weekend as theaters opened up and moviegoers continued to return. Progress is being slowed by the lack of new films, particularly from US studios, but catalog titles are filling the void. China took advantage of an opportunity to release a movie from the Harry Potter archive for the first time in the territory, and Australian film fans got a chance to enjoy some original Star Wars. Some local films are also doing well, partly thanks to the lack of competition.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets: $100 Million
With The Sorcerers Stone proving to be a big hit among fans, Warner Bros chose to make The Chamber of Secrets on a tight budget with the movie coming bottom of this list with production costs of $100 million. But, while money was saved, the blockbuster was certainly entertaining.
Harry spends most of his second year at Hogwarts accused of being the Heir of Slytherin, whose mysterious beast is attacking muggle-borns throughout the school. Thankfully hes able to defeat Tom Riddle, AKA Lord Voldemort, during an epic confrontation in the Chamber itself. With a little help from Fawkes the Phoenix, of course

With the recent weak performance of films such as Transcendence and Edge of Tomorrow at the box office, theres been a lot of talk recently about how much actors and actresses are really worth to a film. The poor performance of these films hasnt come as a huge surprise to followers of the Bankability Index, which produces valuations considerably below the $20 million that Johnny Depp reportedly earned from his lead role in Transcendence, and we thought this is a good opportunity to look at what the Index says about the most valuable actors and actresses in the business.
With Angelina Jolie making headlines for all the right reasons for her starring role in Maleficent, it seemed only fitting to start with an analysis of the most valuable actresses in Hollywood.
