Harry’s Only Real Remark About Ginny Is That Shes Got Nice Skin

Besides their Hogwarts house and the apparent bravery required to be chosen for it, what did Harry and Ginny really have in common?

For a series of novels that puts such an emphasis on the characters, we know surprisingly little of Harrys true feelings toward Ginny.

Ron, in typical older brother fashion, seems to have perpetually found her to be a little bit annoying.

Worse still, one of the most insightful moments regarding Harrys thoughts comes from The Half Blood Prince movie in which he states that shes got nice skin.

That may be a nice compliment in some circumstances, but, in this instance, Harry came off as less a romantic and more of a Buffalo Bill-type character.

” Harry and Ron utterly revolutionized the Auror Department at the Ministry of Magic… Hermione began her post-Hogwarts career at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures where she was instrumental in greatly improving life for house-elves and their ilk. She then moved to the Deptartment of Magical Law Enforcement where she was a progressive voice who ensured the eradication of oppressive, pro-pureblood laws.”

Harry Potter And The Half

In the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry enters a tumultuous puberty that, Rowling says, is based on her and her younger sister’s own difficult teenage years. Rowling also made an intimate statement about Harry’s personal life: “Because of the demands of the adventure that Harry is following, he has had less sexual experience than boys of his age might have had.” This inexperience with romance was a factor in Harry’s failed relationship with Cho. Now his thoughts concern Ginny, and a vital plot point in the last chapter includes Harry ending their budding romance to protect her from Voldemort.

This book also focuses on the mysterious activities of Harry’s rival Draco Malfoy. Voldemort has coerced a frightened Malfoy into attempting to kill Dumbledore. During a duel in Moaning Myrtle‘s bathroom, Harry uses the Half-Blood Prince’s spell, Sectumsempra, on Malfoy, who suffers near-fatal injuries as a result. Harry is horrified by what he has done and also comes to feel sympathy for Draco, after learning he was forced to do Voldemort’s bidding under the threat of his and his parents’ deaths.

It Seemed Like A Fairytale Ending

Writing a complete novel takes the sort of dedication, skill, and determination that most people simply dont possess, let alone writing a fully-fledged seven part series of novels.

However, while J. K. Rowling did a great job of tying up loose ends and carefully closing any potential plot holes in the series, her earnest attempt at giving her best-selling franchise a perfect fairytale ending may have been a bit short sighted.

Its sometimes acceptable to leave a few stones unturned, and Harrys true love may have best been left to the readers interpretation.

Instead, fans have been forced into accepting this seemingly half-baked love affair.

Since Ginny was never a fully fleshed out character, the entire relationship always seemed a bit too perfect to be true.

Arthur Is Related To The Black Family

With so few pureblood families remaining in the Wizarding World, it makes sense that many of them are related somehow.

Arthur’s mother was Cedrella Weasley , the granddaughter of Phineas Nigellus Black, which means the Weasleys are related to the Black family.

Additionally, Arthur’s grandmother was Lysandra Black , who was most likely related to the Death Eater Corban Yaxley.

Eager for a glimpse of Harry Potters wife?

Head on over to Pottermore, where JK Rowling provides a grown-up, present-day look at some of the characters in the Harry Potter series.

Foremost is Ginny Weasley, now Harrys wife referenced as Ginny Potter, and a Daily Prophet sports journalist and Quidditch Correspondent. In the Pottermore post, Ginny is reporting on a Quidditch World Cup fiasco in the Patagonian desert.

The Diagon Alley section of Pottermore currently includes two reports by Ginny and Rowling is expected to add more posts to the site featuring present-day versions of other characters from her popular series. As Hypable noted, this is no small matter for Potterphiles: it is the first time audiences have received present-day information about characters in the Harry Potter series.

Ginnys reports on the Quidditch World Cup mention such Potter-rich details as magical creatures, team mascots, and matches between actual countries.

Gregory Goyle Josh Herdman

Herdman played the other half of Malfoys cronies in the Harry Potter series , and is one of the few actors who has been in every film. Hes had a few acting roles since then, including 2018s Robin Hood. Hes next set to appear in the television adaptation of Anthony Horowitzs Alex Rider book series. In addition to acting, Herdman also began a career as an MMA fighter in 2016.

Parvati Patil Shefali Chowdhury

Like her in-film sister, Chowdhury first appeared in Goblet of Fire, and returned for Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. She did not, however, continue with either Deathly Hallows film. It would appear acting has not been on her radar, as her only roles post-Potter were in three short films: two in 2015 and one in 2019.

They Lived Near The Lovegoods

Harry, Ron, and Hermione visit the Lovegood residence in the seventh book, when Xenophilius Lovegood explains the story of the Deathly Hallows to them, but fans may not recall that Ron says they don’t live far from the Burrow.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry, Ron, and Hermione leave Hogwarts to complete Dumbledore’s task: to search for and destroy Voldemort’s remaining four Horcruxes, then find and kill the Dark Lord. The three pit themselves against Voldemort’s newly formed totalitarianpolice state, an action that tests Harry’s courage and moral character. Voldemort’s seizure of the Ministry of Magic leads to discriminatory and genocidal policies against Muggle-borns, fuelled by propaganda and fear. According to J. K. Rowling, telling scenes are when Harry uses Cruciatus Curse and Imperius Curse, unforgivable curses for torture and mind-control, on Voldemort’s servants, and also when he casts Sectumsempra on Draco Malfoy during the bathroom fight in the sixth book. Each time shows a “flawed and mortal” side to Harry. However, she explains, “He is also in an extreme situation and attempting to defend somebody very good against a violent and murderous opponent.”

Harry experiences occasional disturbing visions of Draco being forced to perform the Death Eaters’ bidding and feels “…sickened…by the use to which Draco was now being put by Voldemort,” again showing his compassion for an enemy.

Ginny Is Nothing More Than A Copy Of Harry’s Mother

We all know that Harry was or at least would have been very close to his parents had the whole Voldemort thing not gone down.

Theres nothing wrong with being close to family, but Harry might have unintentionally taken things a degree too far.

The descriptions of both Ginny Weasley and Lily Potter are eerily similar, and some fans have pointed out that Harrys wife has essentially been written as a copy of his own mother.

Given these circumstances, it makes sense that Harry would strongly admire Ginny. However, it’s disturbing that Harry ended up in a romantic relationship with a character who seemed to be based on his own mother.

Freud may have had a theory or two that could have helped Harry before he tied the knot with his mothers stand-in.

The Muggle Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, referred to as the Muggle Prime Minister by wizards, receives a visit from Cornelius Fudge and Rufus Scrimgeour in the opening chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Using a series of flashbacks, Rowling describes how the Prime Minister is aware of the existence of the wizarding world, through several meetings with Fudge that include his first night as Prime Minister, the night in which Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, the notification of the incident in the Quidditch World Cup and the announcement of the importation of dragons and a sphinx for the Triwizard Tournament, and finally the Azkaban mass break-out from the fifth book. Rowling intended to include the Prime Minister scene in earlier books, but she thought that it could not properly fit until the sixth book.

In the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the Prime Minister recalls his day, during which one of his political opponents had been criticising him and his government for several catastrophes that have recently happened in Britain. Readers discover a little later during the discussion with Fudge, that these catastrophes are, in fact, the doings of Voldemort and his followers. He also discovers that he is protected by an Auror who now works in his office, Kingsley Shacklebolt.
