Shes had plenty of acting roles like two Men in Black films, Beautiful Creatures , voice acting roles in Brave and Dolittle, as well as writing credits for Bridget Joness Baby and Last Christmas. She also starred in Beauty and the Beast with fellow Harry Potter actress Emma Watson.

The Elder Wand Was His All Along

No matter how many horcruxes Harry and his friends successfully destroyed, Voldemort was still a more powerful wizard than him, so when Harry arose from the dead to pick a final fight with the Dark Lord, he was handily overtaken by Voldemort. But Voldemort still couldn’t kill him a second time with the wand, even after he’d taken ownership from Snape. Why? Well, it turned out that Snape wasn’t the one who’d gained control of the Elder Wand in the first place, so it didn’t pass to Voldemort upon Snape’s execution by Nagini.

Sure, Snape had killed Dumbledore and taken possession of the wand in Half-Blood Prince, but it was Draco who’d originally disarmed Dumbledore, and thus received the allegiance of the Elder Wand. Then, when Harry disarmed him in their subsequent duel, it was Harry who’d laid claim to the Elder Wand’s efficacy. So, while the Elder Wand was successfully used to strike its master down in the forest, when Harry had thoroughly surrendered himself, he still wasn’t disarmed of the wand in that battle. So, it remained loyal to Harry, instead of Voldemort. When Voldemort tried to cast a death curse on him a second time, this time against its owner’s wishes, it was a no-go. This is how the fight got dragged out long enough for …

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

In case you were wondering, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is considered canon by J.K. Rowling whose word weve no choice but to take as gospel . After all, it is the eighth story in the Harry Potter franchise, set 19 years after the events of Deathly Hallows. Should Warner Bros. indeed decide to make the ninth movie in the Harry Potter series, the Cursed Child would be a logical choice.

With that said, is it not also reasonable to assume that other events and adventures of great interest took place within those 19 years? If making a film set during this time is to be;the case, the tricky part, of course, would be recast, with the main actors now in their 30s .

Perhaps, though, Warner Bros. has taken the decision to ‘wait’ for the actors to reach the age they are in both the Deathly Hallows epilogue and Cursed Child. This would save them having to recast which no one would want, seeing as the actors are now synonymous with their on-screen counterparts; or the cost of digital or prosthetic aging .

Snape And Neville Finally Made Up

One of the most tortured relationships in the entire “Harry Potter” canon was between potions master Severus Snape and timid student Neville Longbottom . Snape was notorious for bullying Neville incessantly, with the latter shown to be deeply terrified of his teacher.

In real life, of course, Rickman was nothing like Snape. But he was still a highly accomplished and successful actor, while Lewis was trying to find his way as a budding performer. In an interview for the Inside of You podcast, Lewis admitted he used to be terrified of Rickman. He also recalled Rickman’s last day of filming, when he went to Rickman’s trailer to wish the senior actor goodbye, saying, “Hey, I know it’s your last day, and I just wanted to say this has been incredible to have worked with you for this long. I just want to say thank you for allowing me to work with you for 10 years and not ever shouting at me or treating any of us as anything less than your equal.”

Rickman’s reaction was something Neville could only have dreamed of with Snape. Rickman invited Lewis into his trailer. There, they had a cup of tea and chatted about the direction in which Lewis hoped to take his career, with Rickman freely offering his personal advice for the young actor’s benefit.;

Dans Top 100 Everything: #60 Harry Potter Movies

It seems fitting that Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry gets the last line in each movie they are his stories, after all. But in the last ever “Harry Potter” movie, Harry doesn’t actually get to say the last line.

Instead, the last line spoken is by his son, Albus Severus Potter. After a conversation in which Harry reassures his son about which house he might be sorted into at Hogwarts, Albus says “ready,”;which is ironic seeing as none of us were ready for the end of “Harry Potter.”

May 2 1998 The Battle Of Hogwarts Takes Place

I’ll fast-forward seven years to the next important date for our timeline, since I assume you can place the rest based on Harry’s Year at Hogwarts. But the 7th book dates are tricky, since the trio isn’t at school. So you should know that the Battle of Hogwarts took place on May 2, 1998. Because it is this date from which we get the next important date, “19 years later…”

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I

Ratings : 7.7/10

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 started when many muggle family members of many wizards are being attacked by the allies of Voldemort, resulting in Hermione Granger completely erasing herself from the memory of her parents to save them from being attacked.

After that, Harry, Hermione, and Ross all three go searching for the remaining Horcrux to kill Voldemort. After the death of Prof. Alves Dumbledore, there is chaos going on in Hogwarts. As the story proceeds further, this movie becomes boring, and the audience starts losing interest in the movie.

They stretch this movie so much that it feels like forever while watching this movie. Both audience and the critics panned this movie, and on the box office, too, this movie didnt perform as expected. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 was a big letdown to all the fans of the Harry Potter movies. This one is far from Best Harry Potter Movies.

Like her in-film sister, Chowdhury first appeared in Goblet of Fire, and returned for Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. She did not, however, continue with either Deathly Hallows film. It would appear acting has not been on her radar, as her only roles post-Potter were in three short films: two in 2015 and one in 2019.

Why Harry Potter’s Crabbe Was Replaced In The Last Film

The reason behind Zabini taking his place in Deathly Hallows Part 2

If you’ve ever wondered why Vincent Crabbe is replaced in Happy Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, read on.

The last Harry Potter film came out in 2011 so, granted, it probably hasn’t been at the forefront of your mind ever since. A whole decade has passed since then. But that hasn’t dampened quite how surprised we are by the reason behind Vincent Crabbe’s character being replaced by Blaise Zibini in the Deathly Hallows Part 2 film.

If you read the final Harry Potter book by JK Rowling, you’ll remember the memorable moment when Drago Malfoy, Crabbe and Gregory Goyle fought Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in the room of requirement during the Battle of Hogwarts.

And yet, Crabbe is replaced by Blaise Zabini, another Slytherin student, during this scene in the film. WHY?

Apparently it’s because the actor who played Crabbe, Jamie Waylett, actually landed himself in some serious trouble off screen, which eventually cost him his role in the last film in the Harry Potter franchise. Oh dear.

The BBC report Waylett was arrested in 2009 for growing marijuana in his family home, and later pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and possession of a knife. He was 20-years-old at the time, and ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid work by Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 came out two years later in 2011.

Dame Maggie Smith Was Fighting Her Own Personal Battle

From the start of the series,;Professor McGonagall had been one of the few positive authority figures in Harry Potter’s life. The strict but fair Hogwarts professor was played in the films by Dame Maggie Smith. But in the middle of filming the final two films, the actress revealed she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer, which had taken a huge toll on her body.

“I was hairless,” Dame Smith explained to an interview for The;Times .;”I had no problem getting the wig on. I was like a boiled egg.” The hair falling out was a result of the chemotherapy treatment that the actress was undergoing at the time, leaving her feeling run down and exhausted during filming.;

“It was hideous … not so good,” Dame Smith continued. ” was very peculiar, something that makes you feel much worse than the cancer itself, a very nasty thing.” Fortunately, the treatment worked, and Smith was able to finish her work on the franchise, including a memorable fight between McGonagall and Snape during the climax.;

Harry became extremely famous in the Wizarding World as a result. Harry begins his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and learns about magic. During the year, Harry and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger become entangled in the mystery of the Philosopher’s Stone which is being kept within the school.

Professor Sprout Miriam Margolyes

The perfectly portrayed Pomona Sprout has had an illustrious career in film, television, and theatre. Aside from two appearances in the Harry Potter films, Margolyes has most recently appeared in season 8 and 9 of , and in 2019 played Miss Shepherd in a production of Lady in the Van. Interestingly, the 2015 film version starred Margolyes fellow Potter professor, Maggie Smith.

Alan Rickman Knew About Snape’s Backstory Years Before This Film

Severus Snape has one of the most intriguing backstories, revealed in flashbacks via the Pensieve in the last act of this movie. But author JK Rowling actually told Snape actor Alan Rickman all about his character’s history years before the final movie was ever shot.

In January 2016, four days after Rickman’s death, Rowling explained that she told Rickman about the meaning behind the word “always,” a now-iconic Snape quote.

Professor Mcgonagoll Maggie Smith

The actress who played Dumbledores right-hand man has slowed down her Hollywood career after Harry Potter. Still, shes had some big roles: She co-starred in the Downton Abbey TV series as the hilarious Violet Crawley, and will appear in the upcoming movie. She also starred in the two The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel films as well as 2015s The Lady in the Van.

This Is Actually The Shortest Harry Potter Movie

VOLDEMORT Trailer EXTENDED â© Harry Potter

The last film of a franchise is usually the longest as all of the many plot strands and characters come to a head. “The Return of the King” was the longest “Lord of the Rings” movie, “Avengers: Endgame” is the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

The final Harry Potter movie, on the other hand, is the shortest in its franchise at 130 minutes, which is surprising even when you factor in that this story was split into two movies. The longest Harry Potter movie is actually “The Chamber of Secrets,” which clocks in at 161 minutes.

Thandie Newton As Bellatrix Lestrange

Bellatrix Lestrange is an unforgettable villain in;Harry Potter;and the role definitely requires a veteran. She was played by the great Helena Bonham-Carter in the movies and there aren’t many who could live up to the incredibly high standard she set.

Thandie Newton is a veteran of all types of blockbusters and indies, bringing a mysterious and passionate energy to her roles. Plus she could nail the wild cackle that would be required for Bellatrix.

Nymphadora Tonks Natalia Tena

Tonks may have been sidelined in the Harry Potter films more than we would have liked, but Natalia Tena did a wonderful job with what she had. Her talents did not go to waste, as she moved on to star in another hugely popular fantasy series, Game of Thrones. Tena also co-starred in Origins alongside a fellow Harry Potter cast member, Tom Felton. Unfortunately, Youtube did not pick up the show for a second season. Most recently she joined yet another massive franchise, having appeared in an episode of The Mandalorian on Disney+.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

Harry, Ron, and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their second year, which proves to be more challenging than the last. The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, leaving students and ghosts petrified by an unleashed monster. Harry must face up to claims that he is the heir of Salazar Slytherin , learn that he can speak Parseltongue, and also discover the properties of a mysterious diary, only to find himself trapped within the Chamber of Secrets itself.

Even The Producer Got Emotional

While the actors were the faces of the franchise, there were plenty of behind-the-scenes players who made the “Harry Potter” films a reality, and they all felt the pangs of parting as the series drew to a close. One person who particularly felt those pangs was David Heyman, who’d been producing the movies from the start.;

When it was time to film Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson for the final epilogue in which Harry, Ron and Hermione send their children to Hogwarts Heyman was present on the set. “It was a funny day,” he later explained to Entertainment Weekly, “seeing them made up to look in their late 30s. It really accentuated the reality of the situation. I knew it had been 10 years, but I didn’t realize they had aged that much.”

What made the scene an even more stark reminder of the passage of time was that the lead actors had been made up to look decades older with prosthetic makeup. Heyman described the experience of watching the tiny tweens he’d first met while making “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” now playing middle-aged parents with tweens of their own as “surreal”.;;

Adam Driver As Professor Snape

It would be hard to beat a performance by Alan Rickman, but we suspect that Adam Driver could be the man for the job. We have already seen his iciness in Star Wars, so this could be the next step in his movie journey.

Driver has the dark locks and stern face that we would expect from such a man as Professor Snape. Some may say they could only see him as Kylo Ren, but we can already picture him in this remake.

William Shatner As Hagrid

Hagrid could only be played by a special soul who could portray the sensitive side of this half-giant. This actor’s face, as well as his voice, would blend perfectly with the attitude that we would expect this character to have.

William Shatner is well-known for his roles in various Star Trek movies, so it only makes sense that he would then move on to a different sort of fantasy film. He is still starring in films to this day, and we hope he is one day cast in this epic remake.

The Filmmakers Wanted Harry To Fight Snape Instead Of Mcgonagall

In the books, Minerva McGonagall takes on her former colleague in a Hogwarts corridor alongside Professors Sprout and Flitwick, while Harry and Luna Lovegood hide under the invisibility cloak.

The filmmakers wanted to change this so that Harry is the one who fights Snape, but couldn’t clear it with Rowling. Rowling saw this moment as a defining one for McGonagall and so insisted that the filmmakers stick with McGonagall versus Snape, even if the locations and scene were changed.
