Start At Diagon Alley
If youre not starting at Hogsmeade, that means youre starting at Diagon Alley! Once you get to Diagon Alley, take a few minutes to take a few photos without all the people and head over to Escape from Gringotts. This is one of our favorite rides in the Wizarding World. The queue for this ride is absolutely amazing, and another one youll want to really take in all the details. Youll also need to store your stuff for this ride, so throw your stuff in a free locker and head to the bank! During slower times, this ride tends to have lower wait times during most parts of the day, but during peak hours, you will be glad you got to ride this one first.
Diagon Alley is SMALL and it gets very crowded very quickly. Since shopping is a huge part of the experience in Diagon Alley, my recommendation is to head straight to the shops after youve had your fill of being chased by Bellatrix and Voldemort at Gringotts.

Movies are still made at Leavesden as it is a fully working film studio. Other productions that took place in Leavesden are James Bond 007s Goldeneye , Star Wars Episode 1 , The Dark Knight , and 300 .

There are two major Harry Potter attractions in Los Angeles one at Universal Studios Hollywood and the other at Warner Bros. Studios.

For many people, visiting Harry Potter World at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is a dream come true. Like many children, I stayed up endless nights reading and re-reading the Harry Potter books as they came out. And as the movies came out, I watched and re-watched these just as much as I read the books. When Cazzie asked me if I wanted to go to Orlando on a long weekend trip, I knew visiting Harry Potter World would be in the schedule!
Where is Harry Potter World?
Harry Potter World is located in Orlando, Florida at the Universal Orlando Resort. The Universal Orlando Resort is made up of two different parks, the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. Each of these parks has different portions of the Harry Potter World contained within it. But dont worry! The parks are connected either by walking to each one or by the Hogwarts Express! We obviously recommend taking the Hogwarts Express.
How Much Does it Cost?
Admittedly, the costs of visiting Harry Potter World are extremely pricey. For a one day pass per person, we paid $192 per person but this included entry to both parks. For entry to only one park, it is about $60 cheaper per person, but to see all of the Harry Potter World, you will have to visit both parks.
What Does Each of the Parks Have?
If you can only go to one of the parks, we recommend the Islands of Adventure. This park has the Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade and the new Hagrid ride, which were our favorite aspects of visiting Harry Potter World.
Universal Studios Hollywood Vacation Packages
You can also bundle your cheap tickets with 141 different hotels from budget to luxury in a vacation package. There are a lot of benefits to choosing nearby hotels, including skipping notorious L.A. traffic.
Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and other famous attractions are short distances away from Universal City as well.

We find that one of the best ways to take advantage of the Universal VIP experience is to combine it with The Park Prodigy Universal Orlando tickets. The reason being is all guests who purchase their Universal Orlando tickets from The Park Prodigy will receiveearly park admission. This will allow guests to get into theWizarding World of Harry Potterat either 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM most mornings.

Diagon Alley has a handful of drink and snack kiosks and stands. I recommend checking out Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment in Carkitt Market. Here you can transform your Gillywater into a colorful elixir. Choose from Fire Protection Potion, Babbling Beverage, Draught of Peace, and Elixir to Induce Euphoria.
The Hopping Pot offers a variety of snacks and meat pasties) and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including Butterbeer and various beers specific to the the Wizarding World, like Dragon Scale. You can get four of the seven types of Butterbeer here: Hot, Cold, Frozen, and Soft-Serve Ice Cream. I highly recommend the frozen Butterbeer, although I really like the cold as well! As far as soft-serve goes, it is super tasty and absolutely worth getting, but go to Florean’s for more of an experience.

Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour has ice cream and soft-serve in interesting, mouth-watering flavors. Someone in your group ought to get the super tasty Butterbeer soft-serve, because when in Rome, but also try flavors like Lavender, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Granny Smith. At Florean’s you can get a bottle of Pumpkin Juice. It is an interesting apple and pumpkin cider flavored drink that has pumpkin pie spices in it. I am a big fan of cider in general, and I really like this cold drink.
