Voldemort Is No Balrog
One of the most well-known lines in literature/movies is “You shall not pass!” from;Lord of the Rings. Then there’s the huge resemblance between;Gandalf and Dumbledore.
Despite the fact that the characters were played by two different actors, they look so similar that people who don’t know would easily assume they’re the same person. So it makes sense that Dumbledore could “accidentally” say a Gandalf line because they look so similar, even though they are not played by the same actor. They also have the same role in the movie: play the wise wizard who seems to be the father figure and mentor of the coming of age person. JK Rowling had to have come under the spotlight for how similar these two characters seemed.
This is as much of a classic Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter;meme as you could possibly get.
Dont The Great Tales Never End
The Lord of the Rings consists of six distinct books, despite being published in only three volumes.
Book One concerns the four hobbits journey to Rivendell and spends a good deal of that time just developing the main characters.
After the Council of Elrond at the start of Book Two, the story begins to move more quickly, with the Fellowship beginning their journey to Mordor.
Book Two ends when the members of the Fellowship go their separate ways at Amon Hen.; The third, fourth, and fifth books detail the War of the Ring and the quest of Frodo and Sam, with Book Six following the hobbits in the years after the Rings destruction.

Why I Like Harry Potter Better Than Lord Of The Rings
I’m not arguing that “Harry Potter” is actually — in some objective sense — better than “Lord of the Rings.” I get that “Lord of the Rings” is probably Great Art, and I’m not sure that “Harry Potter” is.
What I’m saying is that I enjoy “Harry Potter” immeasurably more than “Lord of the Rings.” With “Harry Potter,” I eagerly look forward to each new installment in the series. I re-read the books frequently and with pleasure; I have an extensive memory of the story, and can discuss its finer points at length; and I have an elaborate and probably unhealthy fantasy life centering around the Potterverse.
“Lord of the Rings,” on the other hand, I slogged through twenty years ago out of a sense of duty. I found it tedious and unengaging, and skimmed through long sections of it; I’ve never had the slightest desire to re-read it even once; I have only the vaguest memory of the general outline of the plot ; and I couldn’t tell you the names of more than four or five characters — and that only because those names get tossed around so much in conversation. “Lord of the Rings” is like Wagner or Bob Dylan to me — I recognize and acknowledge its greatness, without actually liking or enjoying it.
And I think this is a defensible position.
So I’m going to defend it.
Here’s what I think “Harry Potter” has that “Lord of the Rings” doesn’t.
But here’s the thing about female characters in “Harry Potter”:
It has some.
More than a couple, even.
Grab That Book And Start Reading
Sorry movie-goers, when it comes down to an analysis, the majority of books score higher than their film adaptations. It appears readers win this argument over film buffs.
Then again, who says you can only enjoy your entertainment a single way? Work your way through a series of novels, then hit up Netflix to watch the latest adaptation.

Why lord of the rings is better than harry potter. The LOTR is HANDS DOWN better than Harry Potter. A protagonist defined by his burden a secretive but overwhelmingly evil villain and the face-off that happens directly or indirectly between these two opposing forces. The LOTR movies are actually quite boring sometimes whereas Harry Potter is always interesting and awesome.
Lord of the Rings is better than Harry Potter. Indeed Tolkien even went so far as to create not just one but several new languages entirely of his own making including Elvish Dwarvish Entish and Black Speech. Franchises as diverse as X-Men to.
One hears far more about Harry Potter than Lord of the Rings. Ugh I hate the movies compared to the books. Part 1 of 6 The Hobbit.
On the other hand I think I have better jokes Both Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings have reignited an eras love for fantasy almost single-handedly. Harry Potter is better than Lord of the Rings Due to the fact that Harry Potter is loved by so many I feel that it is better than Lord of the Rings. Which is better Harry Potter or The Lord Of Rings.
Why this it much better is because we are understanding what is happening everywhere that is where the protagonists are at the current moment. Tarek Pinnock 13 said. There is so much emotion in them that you could cry laugh and throw your book at the wall all at the same time.

The blockbuster films about Middle Earth and Harry Potter have given Christians two opportunities to respond to magical fantasy on the big screen. The first installment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and of the Harry Potter series were released during the past winter movie season. Christians apparently find it easier to accept the magic and wizardry of J. R. R. Tolkiens Gandalf than J. K. Rowlings Harry.
As news correspondents for the Journal and Christian parents, we saw both Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and multiple Oscar-winning The Fellowship of the Ring and interviewed other Christian parents about their views regarding these two movies. We loved both movies. We highly recommend both to most people, but not everyone. The Lord of the Rings is a story of a monumental struggle between good and evil, full of war and suffering and death. It is not for small children nor faint-hearted adults. It is also not for people who do not like fantasy even superb fantasy. As one of our friends commented, The Lord of the Rings has a dark shadow of foreboding over it: Tolkiens dark lord casts his long shadow over the whole tale, and the movie conveys this foreboding heartbreakingly, breathtakingly well.

Harry Potter books have sold over 500 mil copies where as Lord of the rings books have sold 150 mil. Yes there are more potter books, But they also came out four decades later and they still have already sold more copies per book. You can argue which you like more, But the best book series is by far Harry Potter, Since the point of a book series is to entertain the most amount of people. I love both and depending on my mood love one more then the other. I would argue LOTR is a more impressive story in its creativity but the best book series of all time is HP.
