Most hardcore Harry Potter fans have seen Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald and are eagerly awaiting the third movie in the Fantastic Beasts series. However, some fans do not consider the Fantastic Beasts movies part of the main narrative of Harry Potter. This is mostly because the Fantastic Beasts movies follow different characters than the Harry Potter series.
While the Harry Potter movies focus on whats going on at Hogwarts with Harry and his friends, the Fantastic Beasts movies focus on characters like Newt Scamander and younger versions of Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald. So its understandable that the Fantastic Beasts series is seen more as a prequel to Harry Potter than a continuation.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson became instant stars because of the Harry Potter movies. These films broke box office records, received many award accolades, and left their mark on pop culture forever. I, like many, grew up reading the Harry Potter books, and then spent years watching, and criticizing, the movies. I also have gotten into the Fantastic Beasts series . A great thing about the Harry Potter books and movies is their timelessness. Constantly, new people discover and fall in love with them. For those new to the world of Harry, this one’s for you: a list of all the Harry Potter movies in order of their release, including the Fantastic Beast movies.
These films arent placed in order of actual events, because who cares about accuracy, but in order of theatrical release. If you’re new to the series, you’ll want to watch them in this order the first time through…

Indeed, it took a long time to develop a sequel to the 1964 Disney classic Mary Poppins. The 2018 follow-up stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Mortimer, and Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins. Harry Potter And The Order Of Phoenix
We start the movie with Harry and his cousin Dudley encountering Dementors and after Harry has to use magic to save Dudley he is suspended from Hogwarts. After that Harry is forced to stay with the Order until his hearing in the Ministry.
Dumbledore manages to save Harry from getting expelled and he continuous to Hogwarts, where Harry and his friends are met with the new DADA teacher Dolores Umbridge. She was sent by the Ministry to stop the rumors of Voldemorts return from spreading in school.
To protest the Ministrys smear campaign against Albus Dumbledore and to spite professor Umbridge for not teaching the students anything useful they band together forming a group called Dumbledores Army.
The group of students starts learning magic on their own in the Room of Requirement and is later discovered by Umbridge after she used the Veritaserum o a student.
The students lead Umbridge to the Forbidden Forest and make their way to the Ministry where Harrys visions are taking place. After escaping the death eaters they found there Harry discusses his prophecy and how it affects him and Voldemort with Dumbledore.

How Much Did The Movies Make Domestically
While Harry Potter is set in England, its actually got a huge global fanbase, and it should come as no surprise to find out that, according to the website The Numbers, theyve made $2,786,938,291 at the domestic box office so far.
The biggest was the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, with fans from the US helping that make a huge $381,193,157. Coming second is The Sorcerers Stone, with the Half-Blood Prince also doing well.
Cho Chang Didn’t Betray Dumbledore’s Army
Cho Chang was forced to give up the information she knew about Dumbledore’s army when questioned by Dolores Umbridge. This led to an abrupt end to the relationship that she had with Harry, as he could no longer look at her. In the books, their relationship wasn’t so simple. It slowly fell apart because Cho was feeling guilty for dating Harry after Cedric’s death, couldn’t understand why Harry didn’t want to talk about it, and felt intense jealousy toward Hermione.

Her insecurities bubbled to the surface after Cho’s friend, Marietta Edgecombe, was revealed to be the one who snitched. This led to Hermione’s jinx activating and creating pimples on her face. The Maleficent Films Bring An Interesting Twist To A Classic Fairy Tale
In Disneys recent Maleficent films, the focus essentially shifts from Sleeping Beauty to the supposedly villainous Maleficent. In the films, however, we get a good glimpse at the characters origin story. At the same time, we also get to see Maleficents interactions with Aurora. The cast includes the legendary Angelina Jolie as the titular character. Meanwhile, Elle Fanning portrays Aurora.
Contest: Game Of Chance
There are three wide releases, but only two of them have any chance of becoming more than a midlevel hit. Free Birds is a digitally animated family film that has a very timely release, but it is also a second-tier CG animated film. Ender’s Game is a $110 million film based on a book aimed at young adults. It is yet another film trying to tap into the vacuum left behind by Harry Potter. I don’t think either of them will be big hits, but one of them has to be the target film. I think Free Birds will have better legs, but that Ender’s Game will have a better opening. As such, it is the target film for this week’s box office prediction contest. In order to win, one must simply predict the opening weekend box office number for Ender’s Game. How To Watch The Harry Potter Movies In Release Order
There are no complicated interweaving timelines to deal with if you watch the Potter movies in release date order. Its two distinct series, with an incomplete set of prequels following on from the parent franchise.
That means theres no need to introduce any kind of Star Wars-style ‘Machete Order’ just yet. But, if we get some massive revelation in Fantastic Beasts 3, 4 and 5, that may change.
Its also interesting to note that there are more Harry Potter movies than there are books, with final novel The Deathly Hallows split into two parts because there was so much story to fit in.

How Much Have The Video Games Made
