Harry Potter Reunion Release Date
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts streams on HBO Max on January 1, 2022. While the press release claims that it will come out as “the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Day,” that’s easier said than done, what with time zones and all. While you wait for the special, you can watch all of the Harry Potter movies in order on both HBO Max and Peacock.
We’d bet the special will arrive at 3 a.m. ET, if history repeats itself. That’s when most non-HBO content arrives on HBO Max, such as the Friends reunion. That same day, the Harry Potter trivia show Hogwarts Tournament of Houses will debut on HBO Max.
HBO Max is available on all of the best streaming devices. Don’t have HBO Max? Well, this special will also stream in spring 2022 on TBS and Cartoon Network.

It is interesting how J.K. Rowling has chosen to continue expanding the magical world she birthed 24 years ago, as Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, the first installment of the book series, was published in 1997. While Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Themwas originally a guidebook meant as a complementary element to the canonical story, it was adapted as a prequel to the Harry Potter films, grossing $814 million worldwide. The success of the film transformed the Fantastic Beasts franchise into the trilogy, although there has been much controversy surrounding Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, scheduled to release in April 2022.

Harry Potter Hbo Max Series
In addition to Fantastic Beasts 3 there is reportedly another Harry Potter project in the works, instead of taking a theatrical route, this one — if it actually pans out — will be coming to HBO Max in the form of a television series. In January 2021, The Hollywood Reporter released a report stating that very early discussions were happening for a live-action series set within the Harry Potter universe, but there has been no word as to what the story will be about or even a confirmation from Warner Bros, who has denied that any Harry Potter TV show is currently in development at the studio or HBO Max

Harry Potter has been entertaining audiences for well over a decade, and is showing no signs of slowing down. J.K. Rowlings’ series of novels became a sensation, leading to an eight-film blockbuster franchise. Since then the Wizarding World has been expanded thanks to projects like the Fantastic Beasts movies, as well as Broadway plays and theme park attractions. But could actual Harry Pottersequels be coming next?
J.K. Rowling has continued to grow the Wizarding World in the years since Harry Potter wrapped up, and it’s clear the author has plenty of future stories planned for the franchise. It was recently revealed that a Hogwarts-set series will be coming to HBO Max, but now some fans are wondering if direct sequels to Harry Potter would be coming next. This idea gained traction when WarnerMedia Chief Jason Kilar made vague comments during an investor’s conference. In his words,
There’s this little thing called Harry Potter, which is one of the most beloved franchises. And we’re incredibly thankful to be able to partner with J.K. Rowling and so I would argue there’s lot of fun and potential there as well.

Fantastic Beasts 3 Plot: What Is Fantastic Beasts 3 About
Along with the title and new release date, we got our first official synopsis for the third movie and it spells danger and trouble ahead for Newt, Dumbledore and more.
“Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world,” it reads.
“Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwalds growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”
We haven’t had many teasers from the cast as of yet, but Fogler did reveal in March 2020 that he’d read the script. “The character development is really lovely and it’s very similar to the feel of the first movie, which I think is great,” he said. “It’s leading toward this massive war with the backdrop of World War II, so you can just imagine epic battle scenes are coming.”
Intriguing.
Fogler’s co-star Katherine Waterston was equally mysterious about what we can expect from the movie.
“I never really know what I’m supposed to say or not say,” she explained. “But yes, I can confirm there will be surprises. I just thought of one, in fact. It surprised me! I think that’s about as far as I can go.”

Will Jk Rowling Be Part Of The Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts
The special wont be attended by writer JK Rowling, who created the Harry Potter Wizarding World universe.
She is, however, expected to appear in the special via archived footage.

When And Where Is Fantastic Beasts 3 Set
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is set in the time leading up to the start of World War II, specifically the 1930s. The Second World War was also concurrent with the most intense part of the Global Wizarding War, which was fought in the shadows between Grindelwald’s followers and the various ministries of magic. The movie will take Newt across the globe, interacting with magical communities in the UK and US as well as Bhutan, Germany, and China. Expect an international adventure with wizards and witches across the world preparing themselves for the inevitable conflict.

Warner Bros Wants More Original Harry Potter Series On One Condition
Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff says the studio will only produce more Harry Potter series if they retain the canon and the ethos of the Wizarding World.
Warner Bros. is interested in developing more spinoff series set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but only if the projects stay true to the spirit of the original story, confirmed studio CEO Ann Sarnoff.
During a conference hosted by Bloomberg and covered by THR, Sarnoff spoke on a number of hot topics for the studio, including the future of some of its flagship franchises. While discussing the future of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World, Sarnoff said, “We would love to develop more original Harry Potter series, and we regularly talk to J.K. Rowling and her team. Its got to be right, though. Whatever we do has to be true to the canon, and true to the ethos of the Wizarding World and who Harry is.

Even though Warner Bros.’ film adaptations of the Harry Potter novels concluded in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the Wizarding World remains one of the movie studio’s most popular franchises. Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
In case you were wondering, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is considered canon by J.K. Rowling whose word we’ve no choice but to take as gospel . After all, it is the eighth story in the Harry Potter franchise, set 19 years after the events of Deathly Hallows. Should Warner Bros. indeed decide to make the ninth movie in the Harry Potter series, the Cursed Child would be a logical choice.
With that said, is it not also reasonable to assume that other events and adventures of great interest took place within those 19 years? If making a film set during this time is to be the case, the tricky part, of course, would be recast, with the main actors now in their 30s .
Perhaps, though, Warner Bros. has taken the decision to ‘wait’ for the actors to reach the age they are in both the Deathly Hallows epilogue and Cursed Child. This would save them having to recast which no one would want, seeing as the actors are now synonymous with their on-screen counterparts or the cost of digital or prosthetic aging .

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone , the first film in the series that introduced anyone who wasn’t already familiar with Rowling’s incredible book series to the Wizarding World. The franchise would dominate movie theaters for 10 years before its explosive finale with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II in 2011. The final movie also represented the end of the book series, with the epic Deathly Hallows novel having been split it into two films.
But that’s not to say there was no more material left. In 2016, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, an A-to-Z listing of all the magical creatures in the Wizarding World, written by Magizoologist Newt Scamander, was adapted into a film of the same name that became a global box office hit, spawning its own sequel in 2018, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. While its reception was far less positive than its predecessor, that didn’t stop the third entry from going into development – and Fantastic Beasts 3 is already heading for theaters next year.

Fantastic Beasts 3 4 And 5 Release Dates: When Is Fantastic Beasts 3 Released
Long story short, Fantastic Beasts 3 will be released in UK cinemas on and in US cinemas a week later on .
The film was first set for a November 12, 2021 release, but the pandemic saw the start of production delayed. After Depp’s resignation the movie was pushed back to July 2022.
After another production delay in early February 2021, filming wrapped later that month according to composer James Newton Howard: “I know that David Yates has finished shooting, and I’m chomping at the bit to get going.”
Now with Warner Bros moving it forward to April 2022, hopefully that’ll be the final move as it seems unlikely they’d announce an earlier release date if they weren’t confident they could make it.
The fourth and fifth movies have never had release dates, but we originally assumed we could expect them in November 2022 and November 2024, which now definitely won’t be the case.
However, we’re still not 100% sure we’ll get the originally planned five Fantastic Beasts movies, and the box office performance of Secrets of Dumbledore will go a long way to see if we get another movie.
Assuming they do happen though, don’t expect a fourth movie anytime before 2024.

In July 2007, it was announced that Yates would return as director. Kloves returned to write the screenplay after skipping out of the fifth film, with Heyman and David Barron back as producers. Watson considered not returning for the film, but eventually signed on after Warner Bros. moved the production schedule to accommodate her exam dates. Principal photography began on 24 September 2007, and concluded on 17 May 2008. Though Radcliffe, Gambon and Jim Broadbent started shooting in late September 2007, other cast members started much later: Watson did not begin until December 2007, Alan Rickman until January 2008, and Bonham Carter until February 2008.Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince had its world premiere on 6 July 2009 in Tokyo, Japan, and was released in the United Kingdom and the United States on 15 July.
