Harry And Dudley’s Relationship

5 Must Read Books After You’ve Re-Read Harry Potter | #BookBreak

Harry, as an adult, also made some other changes to his life. As a father too, we could only assume that Harry wanted to be a mature adult and make peace with things that needed to be mended. One of those things was his relationship with Dudley, in which Harry decided to move things a little forward hey, it’s all baby steps. Rowling said about their relationship: “Harry and Dudley would still see each other enough to be on Christmas-card terms, but they would visit more out of a sense of duty and sit in silence so that their children could see their cousins.”

The Name Of The Wind Patrick Rothfuss

Told in Kvothes own voice, this is the tale of the magically gifted young man who grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen.

This book is a consistent resident on Top Fantasy of the 21st Century lists. George R.R. Martin calls it bloody good. Lin-Manuel Miranda says he just loves the world of Patrick Rothfuss. Im looking forward to this one coming in the mail!

No More Snake Hissing

Since Harry lost his ability to speak to snakes, you think he could pass it on to us? Harry had the unique ability to speak Parseltongue, however, the last time he ever spoke in Parseltongue was when the Horcrux inside him was destroyed by Ron in The Deathly Hallows. His ability to speak to snakes was forever taken away when Voldemort was destroyed, and he surely was a joyful Harry Potter to have gotten rid of it.

Harry Potter Is One Of The Best Book Series Ive Ever Read

I grew up with Harry, so these books will always have a special place in my heart. Its been nearly 10 years since I read The Deathly Hallows for the first time, and even now, I find myself using Harry Potter as a scale to compare other books. This week, I got this great card from a friend who just finished reading Harry Potter for the first time.

I wish there were more HP books. Nothing has interested me since Ive finished them.

Reading these lines made me so sad. On the positive, she inspired me to dig through my bookshelf, library record, and TBR list to find some great books that might help her overcome the pain.

Completion Of The Series

In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, “2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series.” Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: “J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 January 2007.”

Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book was completed “in something like 1990”. In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character “got a reprieve” and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.

In September 2012, Rowling mentioned in an interview that she might go back to make a “director’s cut” of two of the existing Harry Potter books.

Bill And Fleurs Victory

Seems like there was an epidemic amongst the Harry Potter characters when they became adults they almost all had children. To make a cute family portrait Bill and Fleur Weasley had three children with the names Victoire, Louis, and Dominique. Victoire, because she was born on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, was given that name as it is French for victory they just had to honour their win. Not much is known about the children, except that Dominique is part veela and Louis is the only male with veela blood. So many children, so little time.

Best For Fans Of Hagrid Magical Creatures And Newt Scamander

my honest thoughts after reading harry potter for the first time | book review

Siblings Kendra and Seth are left with their grandparents for the week, whom they do not know well, and stumble upon a huge family secret. Their grandfather is actually the caretaker for a magical refuge of fairytale creatures. This is a story of bravery, family and magical creatures.

Personally, I would suggest you opt for the hard copy of this, rather than the audio version, I personally found to be very off-putting which is unfortunate because the story is great. Good for ages 8+

Fablehaven Series By Brandom Mull

When Seth and his big sister Kendra are sent to stay with their reclusive grandparents for a few weeks they were not prepared for what was in store for them.

Fairies, centaurs, unicorns, dragons, nymphs, and witches are all real. As are many other mythical creatures some of which go bump in the night. Seth and Kendra discover that their grandparents run a magical preserve called Fablehaven.

Sounds cool, huh? But not all is as it seems and soon these siblings are off on an adventure to save each other as well as Fablehaven itself.

This 5 book series has action, adventure, fantasy, and magic. But everything you think you know about fantasy creatures may not be true.

These books are available in Paperback, Hardback, Audiobook, and Kindle formats.

Return To Civilised Habits

Now that youve finished the books, you have no excuse not to eat at a table, instead of lying on your bed, distractedly missing your mouth with poorly-aimed utensils.

Likewise, now might be a good time to re-learn how to cook, instead of living on snacks that can be opened with one hand. Wearing clothes instead of pyjamas is also considered socially acceptable in some circles.

Three Dark Crowns By Kendare Blake

In this dark fantasy series, three sisters must fight to the death to become the queen of the island of Fennbirm. Triplets, each of the sisters possess a particular kind of magic they use against each other in a battle that begins when they turn 16.

Blake establishes myriad side plots and relationships, builds complex characters, and leaves plenty of compelling avenues to explore in future books, writes Publishers Weekly. Teens from eighth grade and up are the right audience, but adults will like the hypnotic story, too.

The four-book series consists of Three Dark Crowns, One Dark Throne, Two Dark Reigns, and Five Dark Fates.

A Deadly Education By Naomi Novik

Magical books for Harry Potter fans

Sixteen-year-old Galadriel El Higgins is a half-British, half-Indian sorceress at the Scholomance, a school where students learn magic. But unlike Hogwarts, there are no teachers. The students are responsible for educating themselves, and at the end they either graduateor die.

The Scholomance series by Naomi Novak is a good choice for older teens and adults looking for books similar to Harry Potter, especially if the magical boarding school element is one of your favorite parts of the Potter books. The first book in the series is A Deadly Education. The second book, The Last Graduate, will be published on September 28, 2021.

Like Harry, who vehemently opposed his Slytherin-ic tendencies, Bea decided to leave her faction to try something different. Little did she know that this single choice could destroy humanity whats left of it, anyway.

Harry Could Have Saved His Parents

Though Harry was the hero in the wizarding world, he was not when it came to his parents’ destiny. If you recall, Harry had the chance to save his parents, and though we thought he would, the cruel murders took place. In the most recent Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, we get a flashback from Delphini to the night Harry’s parents were ruined by Voldemort. Ron, Ginny, and Draco all went back in time with Harry, and that is when Harry disguised himself through magic as Voldemort to make Delphini stop. However, before Harry went back in time, he watched Voldemort destroy his parents from a distance, so must have painful.
