Why Do The Harry Potter Films Keep Moving
The main reason seems to be because of deals made before either HBO Max or Universal had streaming services.
In 2016, the TV rights for the films were set to expire after being held by ABC for many years. At that time, the rights were divided, with NBCUniversal getting cable rights to show the films on SyFy and USA, while HBO bought the streaming rights to have the films on its HBO Go / HBO Now platforms.
Crucially, though, the NBC deal also allowed the films to appear on the SyFy and USA digital platforms. This essentially means that each service has a claim to the digital rights to the films, explaining why they keep moving around.
This is something that looks likely to continue. The NBC deal doesn’t expire until 2025, meaning that things are not likely to change for a few years.
Emma Watson Almost Left The Franchise
Watson revealed that she almost left the Harry Potter franchise around the time Order of the Phoenix started production, due to the stress from filming
“People definitely forget what she took on and how gracefully she did it,” Felton said.
While Radcliffe and Grint had each other to lean on and Felton had his “cronies,” Felton noted that Watson was all by herself.
“The fame thing had finally hit home in a big way,” Watson said, adding that she felt very lonely during that period of her life.

The long-awaitedreunion special, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwwarts, arrived via HBO Max on New Year’s Day, bringing fans of the series back into the world of wizardry with special interviews and commentary from the original cast.
Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger throughout the eight feature-film installments adapted from J.K. Rowling’s novels, delighted fans by taking part and recounting memories. However, during one scene, superfans noticed a glaring mistake in one of the photos that was shown of Watson from her childhood.
The pic, depicting a young girl in Mickey Mouse ears eating at a table, was actually a snapshot of fellow actress Emma Roberts, who had posted the pic on Instagram nearly a decade ago. A slew of comments from eagle-eyed viewers have since deluged Roberts’ original post, which now boasts more than 18,000 likes as of this writing.

Harry Potter Is Leaving Hbo Max Here’s Where You Can Watch
The Harry Potter franchise has activated a portkey and is set to leave one of its current streaming services.
The eight films are currently streaming on HBO Max, but that is set to change thanks to a previous contract agreement made before Warner Bros launched its streaming service.
This isn’t the first time the Harry Potter movies have left a streaming service. In fact, they have moved every few months since HBO Max’s launch in 2020. That’s in contrast to other films in the so-called “Wizarding World” franchise, which stays in one place while its older sister keeps moving around.

The first mistake in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts was noticed by eagle-eyed viewers, and one particularly passionate fan of the actress Emma Roberts.
Much of the special featured images of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as children, although one image used turned out to be a picture of Roberts, not Watson.
Twitter user @vee_delmonico99 brought the mistake to the public’s attention, getting over 7,000 likes for sharing the picture of Roberts as it was used in the special, and another when it was first posted on Roberts’ account.

The original picture that Roberts posted on Instagram in February 2012 has now picked up a second wind, with fans sarcastically commenting Harry Potter references.
One wrote, “Your English accent in HP was so good,” while another said “Emma Watson looks so cute in this pic!”
HBO Max owned up to its mistake and thanked fans for finding the error.
Producers of Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts said in a statement, “Well spotted Harry Potter fans! You brought an editing mistake of a mislabeled photograph to our attention. New version is up now.”

Daniel Radcliffe Was Starstruck Over Gary Oldman
While discussing all the notable actors who appeared in the Harry Potter films throughout the years, Radcliffe noted that Oldman was one of the first people he was truly in “awe of” when they first came to set.
“I remember you giving me the Gary chat,” Watson recalled. “You were like, ‘Listen, Emma, you need to be cool. This is Gary Oldman, it’s a really big deal.'”
“Which was really a projection of my own fears,” Radcliffe added. “Because I was like, ‘Dan, you need to be cool. This guy’s a big deal.'”
Jason Isaacs Originally Auditioned For Gilderoy Lockhart
Isaacs is well-known for playing Lucius Malfoy, but he originally auditioned for the part of Gilderoy Lockhart. In fact, he didn’t want to play Lucius at all.
“I was about to play Captain Hook in Peter Pan and I thought, ‘Well, I don’t want to play two children’s villains,'” he admitted. At the request of Columbus, he said that he reluctantly read for Lucius with “gritted teeth and was deeply bitter” about the audition. Alan Rickman Knew Secret Details About The Story’s Twists
The late Alan Rickman, who portrayed Professor Snape throughout the series, had a leg up above his other castmates the entire time. Radcliffe spilled the secret to Gary Oldman while they reunited after the actor expressed that he wished he had known his characters full story from the start because they found out plot points as each book released.
I dont know whether you were because you were Harry Potter, Oldman said, but Radcliffe interjected and said he did not have any insight into the future of the characters. There was only one cast member who did, and that was Rickman.
He had the inside line, Radcliffe said. He very, very early said to Jo , he was like, I think I need to know what happens. And he never told Chris , never told anyone. Chris would literally say to him, Why are you doing that like that? Hed say, Ill tell you later.
