Harry Returns To Hogwarts
Daniel Radcliffe in “Harry Returns to Hogwarts”
As the skit opens in the year 2020, HeadmistressMinerva McGonagall is welcoming a group of first yearGryffindor students to Hogwarts, introducing them to the Gryffindor Common Room. She mentions that some of the Gryffindor students have become legend and just then Harry enters the room, asking if someone said “legend.” “Harry Potter!” cries one of the new students and he confirms that he is indeed “The Boy Who Lived, in the flesh.”
He congratulates the students on making Hogwarts and says that these will be the best days of their lives. “Honestly, the best. It does not get better.” One of the students asks what he’s doing there and he says that he thought he’d apparate in for the weekend and “welcome the newbies.” He says that it feels like he was just there yesterday and McGonagall replies that he was there yesterday, and the day before. He asks if He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is giving them any trouble. “No, he’s dead!” replies one of the students and Harry says, “Oh! That’s right! I killed him! Remember that?! That was great!” He and the students share high-fives.
She Didnt Think Much Of Him
When you end your first meeting by pointing out someone has dirt on their face it doesnt exactly scream instant attraction. Hermione didnt show Ron much care when they first met the pleasure which she mentioned at meeting him was dryly delivered.
Of course, Ron was being the hound he is with food at the time, being eleven-years-old, didnt consider being smooth or welcoming to her. Hermione was more impressed at sharing a compartment with Harry than Rons company. She even made fun of Rons spell being not very good. In all fairness, the spell wasnt an actual spell to begin with.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
Hermione develops a liking for Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Gilderoy Lockhart as he had written all the books required for the subject of Defence Against The Dark Arts in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. During a morning confrontation between the Gryffindor and Slytherin Quidditch teams, a brawl nearly ensues after Draco Malfoy calls her a “Mudblood“, an insulting epithet for Muggle-born wizards when she defends the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She concocts the Polyjuice Potion needed for the trio to disguise themselves as Draco’s housemates to collect information about the Heir of Slytherin who has reopened the Chamber of Secrets. However, she is unable to join Harry and Ron in the investigation after the hair plucked from the robes of Slytherin student Millicent Bulstrode was that of her cat, whose appearance she takes on in her human form it takes several weeks for the effects to completely wear off. Hermione is Petrified by the basilisk after successfully identifying the creature through library research. Though she lies incapacitated in the hospital wing, the information she has found and left behind is crucial to Harry and Ron in their successful mission to solve the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets. Hermione is revived after Harry kills the basilisk, but she is distraught to learn that all end-of-year exams have been cancelled as a school treat.

Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone
Hermione first appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone when she meets Harry and Ron on the Hogwarts Express, where she mocks Ron for his inability to perform a spell to turn his rat yellow. She proves just how much she knows by declaring that she memorized all the textbooks by heart. She constantly annoys her peers with her knowledge, so Harry and Ron initially consider her arrogant, especially after she criticises Ron’s incantation of the Levitation Charm. They heartily dislike her until they rescue her from a troll, for which she is so thankful that she lies to protect them from punishment, thus winning their friendship. Hermione’s knack for logic later enables the trio to solve a puzzle that is essential to retrieving the Philosopher’s Stone, and she defeats the constrictive Devil’s Snare plant by summoning a jet of “bluebell flame”.
Hermione is the brains behind the plan to enter the place where the Stone is hidden. She responds to Harry’s wariness of Professor Severus Snape and is also suspicious of him. She reveals to Harry and Ron that she does a lot of research in the library, which helped her defeat the Devil’s Snare and work out the logic of the potions.
Rowling said on her website that she resisted her editor’s requests to remove the troll scene, stating “Hermione is so very arrogant and annoying in the early part of Philosopher’s Stone that I really felt it needed something huge to bring her together with Harry and Ron.”
Percy Weasley Chris Rankin
After playing the pompously-reformed Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter films, Chris Rankin largely put acting aside. Instead he took on work behind the camera, working as a production coordinator for Atlantis, Downton Abbey, and A Discovery of Witches. He did, however, make an appearance as Mycroft in the Hillywood Shows parody of Sherlock. If youd like a chance to meet Rankin, youre in luck! Like his fellow Weasley brothers, Rankin can also be found at many fan conventions throughout the year.

Harry Potter taught me many important lessons. I remember going to each of the movies the day they came out, reading the books and always winning at Harry Potter Scene It? However, the series also seriously twisted my view of healthy relationships for many years.
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling taught me a lot of important things, like how to fight for what is right, and in a lot of ways, the books shaped who I am today. Many people share this experience because Harry Potter really was an unprecedented phenomenon for people my age.
Growing up, it seemed like I was always a little too old or a little too young for some books and films, so I ended up discovering things later in life. But the Harry Potter series was the one thing that I did grow up with. The fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is my favourite book and arguably the best one of the series. It came out in 2000, and it is the first book I remember my mother reading to me.
The Goblet of Fire movie came out in 2005 when I was six years old, and for years, I was fascinated with the relationship between Hermione and the older Quidditch star Viktor Krum. When they met, Viktor was 18 and Hermione was only 15. This relationship is brought up several times in later books to create tension in Ron and Hermiones developing relationship.

Their Matching Middle Names
Sometimes we see that Harry and Hermione are connected at a much more basic level of their relationship. If you strip away all of the magic and adventures, you are left with two normal people who share similar personalities – and middle names.
Harrys middle name is given to him by his father James, while Hermiones middle name is Jean.
There’s another another thing they have in common. Harrys J name is very significant to him as it connects him to his father, so much so that he even passes it down to his oldest son.

Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
Hermione buys a cat named Crookshanks, who takes to chasing Ron’s pet rat, Scabbers. Before the start of term, Professor McGonagall secretly gives Hermione a Time-Turner, a device which enables her to go back in time and handle her heavy class schedule, though this is not revealed until the penultimate chapter. Much tension comes into play between Hermione and her two best friends Harry is furious with her because she told McGonagall that he had received a Firebolt, which was confiscated to be inspected for traces of dark magic. Ron is angry because he feels Crookshanks is responsible for Scabbers’ disappearance, while Hermione fiercely maintains that Crookshanks is innocent.
While filling in for Remus Lupin in one Defence Against the Dark Arts class, Snape labels Hermione “an insufferable know-it-all” and penalises Gryffindor after she speaks out of turn in her attempt to describe a werewolf when no one else does. She correctly deduces Lupin’s secret after completing Snape’s homework assignment from the class. Crookshanks proves vital in exposing Scabbers as Peter Pettigrew, an erstwhile friend of James and Lily Potter, who revealed their whereabouts to Lord Voldemort the night of their murders, and was able to wrongly implicate Sirius Black in the Potters’ deaths. The Time-Turner enables Hermione and Harry to rescue Sirius and the hippogriff Buckbeak.
She Fears Failing And Being Inferior
In ‘Chamber of Secrets’ and ‘Prisoner of Azkaban’, we learn that Hermione deeply fears failing and getting kicked out of Hogwarts. This is made worse by Malfoys claims of her inferiority for being a Mudblood. Hermione then copes with this fear, and her insecurities, by bottling up her emotions, which we see come to a head in Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows

Completion Of The Series
In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, “2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series.” Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: “J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 January 2007.”
Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book was completed “in something like 1990”. In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character “got a reprieve” and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.
In September 2012, Rowling mentioned in an interview that she might go back to make a “director’s cut” of two of the existing Harry Potter books.
Both Are Only Children
With so much of their time spent in the company of the Weasleys and their very large family, it is easy to forget that both Harry and Hermione did not have the luxury of growing up with siblings.
Over the years, both Harry and Hermione became a part of the Weasley family and Hermione would eventually marry in to it as Arthur and Molly Weasley would treat them like children of their own.
It must have been very different for them to grow up without siblings. Harry may have grown up alongside Dudley Dursley, but that was hardly a brotherly love type of relationship.
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
Hermione becomes a Gryffindor prefect along with Ron and befriends Luna Lovegood, but their friendship gets off to a rocky start after Hermione chastises the publication of Luna’s father: “The Quibbler‘s rubbish, everyone knows that.” She also lambasts housemate Lavender Brown for believing the Daily Prophet‘s allegations of Harry fabricating stories of Voldemort’s return. Ron and Hermione spend much of their time bickering, likely due to their growing romantic feelings toward one another, but they show continued loyalty to Harry. One turning point in the series is when Hermione conceives the idea of Harry secretly teaching defensive magic to a small band of students in defiance of the Ministry of Magic‘s dictum to teach only the subject’s basic principles from a textbook, with no hands-on practice. Hermione gets an unexpectedly huge response, and the group becomes the nascent Dumbledore’s Army. She is involved in the battle in the Department of Mysteries and seriously injured by a spell from Death Eater Antonin Dolohov, but makes a full recovery.
Against: But Hermione And Ron Only Argued So Much Because Of The Romantic Tension
As we all know, being mean to each other is the best way of covering up that you fancy someone.
Their childish behaviour continued as the books went on, with Harry having very little to do with their spats if he could help it. As we mentioned, Harry had deep appreciation for Hermione but he never seemed to be jealous of Hermione in the way Ron was. Especially when a dashing Mr Krum entered the scene… Harry never seemed bothered about who Hermione went out with unlike his pangs of jealousy when he found out Cho Chang was going to the Yule Ball with Cedric.

Both Have Felt The Cruciatus Curse
There has been some terrible things which have happened to the group throughout their adventures, but none are as painful as the Cruciatus Curse.
A favorite tool for the Death Eaters as a method of tormnent, Harry receives this curse from The Dark Lord himself during their duel at the graveyard in Goblet of Fire, while Hermione is the recipient following her torture session with Bellatrix Lestrange in The Deathly Hallows.
Both survived the agony, but their screams of pain made fully evident how painful it must have been for them.
Fortunately Ron was never on the receiving end of this curse.
Hermione: The Smartest Witch At Hogwarts
Sirius Black dubs Hermione “the brightest witch of age,” a title she rightfully earns with her impressive intellect. Hermione remains one of the smartest characters in the series, consistently helping Harry and Ron out of trouble.
Hermione’s wits and intelligence are a superior skill that could influence a duel against Harry. Despite his experience, the Boy Who Lived lacks Hermione’s magical knowledge and prowess.

Lily J Potter & James Potter
Harry Potter’s famous July 31st birthday came just over a year before the tragic murdering of his parents, Lily and James Potter, at the hands of Voldemort on Halloween night, 1981, both of whom died at the age of 21.
Both born in 1960, sharing a calendar year with the likes of the aforementioned Snape and Lupin, Lily was the older of the two, born at the end of January while James’ birthday helped usher in the springtime two months later.

But she gets flustered and doesn’t name the third scent she detected.

“Every individual has very distinctive-smelling hair, don’t you find?” the author added.
