Harry Potter is a book series written by a British author who writes under the name J.K. Rowling. This is a quick summery about the plot of the authors sixth installment of the Harry Potter series. These are the events that happened during Harrys sixth year at Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry.

    How Harry Gets To Hogwarts

Dumbledore picks up Harry from his home in order to return him to Hogwarts. Harry is then reunited with his friends, Ron and Hermione. They overhear Draco threaten Borgin and insist that he fix a mysterious object. They then make their way to school. Upon their return to Hogwarts, they hear that Snape is the new defense against the dark arts teacher. This is a position the schools potion master has always wanted.

Harry finds a book labeled the half-blood prince. Amendments to many of the spells are written on the margins of the text that allow Harry to excel in potions that semester. Harry spends a lot of time with Dumbledore trying to learn more about Voldemort. He learns about the Dark wizards family and past.

Harry spends much of his time early in the novel attending to his duties as quidish captain and tracking Draco, who he believes is a death eater. Harry is unable to make any progress with tracking him throughout the first half of the book.

    Why Read It

2 authors pickedHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as one of their favoritebooks. Why do they recommend it?

The Harry Potter series is so good but this particular installment gave you the backstory of one of my favorite characters. Harry is a great character and so are most of the cast but one always stands out. The half-blood prince is a layered character who, by the end of the series, you will realize deserved your love more than anyone else. Who doesnt love a character who will sacrifice it all, even their whole being for love.
