Ron wants to break up with Lavender but doesnt know how. Harry learns from Kreacher and Dobby that Malfoy is regularly visiting the Room of Requirement , and spends the next few days trying to get inside. Not knowing what Malfoy is using it for, he has no success. Ron and Hermione come back from the Hogsmeade Apparition test, in which Hermione is successful but not Ron, who will take the exam with Harry again.

We Finally Get To Hear Something About Harrys Mom
My one pet peeve with most of the books is we hear a lot about Harrys Dad. He was a fantastic Seeker and a bully to Snape. Hes a well-liked wizard from a Pureblood family.
Thats great and all, but what about Harrys mom? We know shes Aunt Petunias sister, and she marries Harrys Dad, but thats it. Who were her friends? How did she end up dating Harry when he seemed like such a pompous prick in Snapes memories? Did she do anything after Hogwarts, or did she end up a housewife?
Slughorn finally tells us more about Harrys mom. She was brilliant in Potions! I know, its not much, but its better than the information we had in the past. And its about time someone acknowledged Lily Evans as more than Harrys mom.
Chapter 1: A Very Frostychristmas

Burrow’s Christmas Tree
During the Christmas holidays at the Burrow, Harry tells Ron, his father Arthur Weasley and Remus Lupin what he overheard, but they believe that Snape was trying to find out Malfoy‘s plan so he could tell Dumbledore. Later, Rufus Scrimgeour visits the Burrow, and requests that Harry appear to work alongside the Ministry, to boost the morale of the public. Harry turns it down, knowing that the Ministry is arresting and imprisoning innocent people and remembering how they persecuted him last year.

Chapter 2: Flight Of The Prince

Snape fights Harry
Released from the spell after Dumbledore’s death, Harry pursues Snape through battle in the halls of the school and out onto the grounds. Near the entrance to Hogwarts, Harry attempts to curse Snape, who repels his attacks with ease and reminds the other Death Eaters they are not to harm the boy. When Harry tries one of the Half-Blood Prince’s spells, an enraged Snape reveals that the spell is his own. He is the Half-Blood Prince, having taken the title when he was a student as a pun on his mother’s maiden name. Buckbeak the Hippogriff attacks Snape, who leaves Harry behind and escapes with Draco Malfoy. When he returns to Dumbledore’s body, Harry finds that the locket was a fake: the real horcrux was already stolen by someone with the initials R.A.B.

Harry, Neville and Luna on the Hogwart’s Express
On the Hogwarts Express, Harry meets his other friends Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood and shares a compartment with them, as Ron and Hermione are in the Prefect Carriage. By now, Harry finds himself attracted to Ginny, although she appears to have long given up on her crush on him and is currently dating Harry’s classmate Dean Thomas. Harry and Neville are invited for lunch to Slughorn’s compartment on the train along with Ginny and some other students with connections to well known or influential people. Before reaching Hogsmeade station, Harry enters Malfoy’s compartment using his Invisibility cloak to prove his suspicions about Malfoy. His suspicions are proven correct: Malfoy tells his friends Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini that he has become a Death Eater and he may not return to Hogwarts for his final year if the mission he was assigned by Voldemort is successful. Unfortunately for Harry, Malfoy notices Harry spying on him and once his friends have alighted from the train, he paralyses Harry, breaks his nose, covers him with the Invisibility Cloak and leaves him on the train.

Chapter : Lord Voldemort’s Request

Hepzibah Smith with Slytherin’s locket
In their fourth lesson, Dumbledore is disappointed that Harry failed to obtain Slughorn’s true memory. Harry apologises and promises to try harder, which Dumbledore is happier about. Dumbledore shows him two memories: one of Tom Riddle being shown Salazar Slytherin’s Locket and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup by a wealthy woman namedHepzibah Smith, the other of Riddle applying for the Defence Against the Dark Arts teaching post at Hogwarts, which Dumbledore rejects as he felt that it was an attempt by Riddle to further search the school for secrets and recruit followers. Dumbledore explains that Smith was murdered by Riddle and stole the locket and cup. The post for Defence Against the Dark Arts was jinxed by Riddle out of spite teachers never held the post for more than a year, suffering some terrible fate or humiliation which caused them to leave the position.
Harry Using Sectumsempra On Draco
When Harry and Draco get into a duel in the bathroom, Harry makes a bad move. While he doesnt know what Sectumsempra does exactly, he does know that its meant to be used on enemies. While he didnt mean to use something that almost killed Draco, using an unknown spell like that wasnt smart at all. This is definitely an example of Harry being reckless and not thinking his actions through enough.

The Ending Of Harry Potter And The Half
As the sixth installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise, 2009s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes in with a brutal start: Londons Millennium Bridge is destroyed by vicious Death Eaters. Now, everyone in the Wizarding World knows the Dark Lord Voldemort has returned. Gone is the air of wonder and delight that colored the first few films. Half-Blood Prince continues the franchises descent into darker themes and events as the characters and audience grow up.
Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, Half-Blood Prince stands out amongst the other films for its melancholy gray palette and artistic approach to each shot. Though there are plenty of lighthearted moments in the film as it savors the last year our trio will be at Hogwarts, the mounting threat of Voldemort hangs dangerously over their heads. This year, Professor Severus Snape has finally been appointed to the Defense Against the Dark Arts position after desiring it for many years. Meanwhile, Harrys mind is preoccupied with three things: his blossoming romance with Ginny Weasley , his theory that Draco Malfoy is a newly minted Death Eater, and whatever mysterious plot Dumbledore has going on regarding the new Potions professor, Slughorn .

Aragogs Burial
Harry again fails to convince Slughorn to share his true memory, and Ron suggests he use the Felix Felicis. Harry takes the Felix Felicis and goes down to Hagrids hut because Aragog died and Hagrid wanted Harry to go to the burial. On the way to Hagrids hut, Harry luckily meets Professor Slughorn on the way and goes with Harry to Hagrids because he wants to collect Aragogs venom . Aragog is buried and the adults get drunk, so Harry has a good opportunity to get the memory. As a result of the Felix Felicis, Harry is able to get the memory with ease.

How Old Is Hermione Granger
Hermione Jean Granger was born on 19 September 1979. She was an English Muggle-born witch born to Mr. and Mrs. Granger. At the age of eleven, she learned about her magical nature and was accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hermione began attending Hogwarts in 1991 and was Sorted into Gryffindor House. She possessed a superb educational mind and it was known she would be a remarkable student in virtually every subject that she studied.
During her fourth year, Hermione became an advocate for the better treatment of house-elves, forming the association S.P.E.W., and helped in Harrys preparation for the Triwizard Tournament. Hermione truly had a major role in a few other alternative battles of the Second Wizarding War, too. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
In this movie, the fourth one, the main aspiring wizard enters a grand competition between three different magical schools. Instead of moving up to a different school, he stays in the same Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for another four years, or at least thats whats expected.
Secretly, he suspects a plot but doesnt quite know what will happen in the end.
This is when the main character turns fourteen going on fifteen years old, which is the age that highschool students enter freshman year in the US.
He starts to learn more about the world of spellcraft and gets into some more advanced topics.
He also develops quite a few new relationships.

Is Voldemort In The Half
Voldemort does not appear in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, although his presence and actions are felt: he once again declares war, and begins to rise to power once more. After living in an orphanage, young Riddle met Dumbledore, who told him he was a wizard and arranged for him to attend Hogwarts.
When Did The First Harry Potter Movie Come Out
It is the sequel to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and is followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Dumbledore’s White Tomb
The funeral is attended by many witches and wizards, including a number of minor characters in the series. During the funeral, Harry ends his relationship with Ginny to protect her from Voldemort. She reveals that she had never given up on him Hermione had advised her to go out with other people so she could relax around Harry, as previously she had trouble talking to him. As a result, he fell in love with her upon seeing who she really was, and regrets not asking her out sooner. Harry then meets Scrimgeour, who again makes the offer he’d made to Harry at Christmas, which Harry again turns down. He then tells Ron and Hermione of his intention to leave Hogwarts to destroy the Horcruxes and then Voldemort himself. His two best friends agree to travel with him on his quest, and Harry happily acknowledges that there is “still one last golden day of peace left to enjoy with Ron and Hermione”.
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
The fifth-year movie is when the story really starts to get interesting.
With danger just around the corner, a team of elite wizards and witches gather to prevent a global disaster in the magical world and the normal one.
Each successive movie seems to have a deeper plot and an interesting cast of characters.
The little wizard isnt as little anymore and turns fifteen years old going onto sixteen years.
This time, his workload is much bigger, consisting of schoolwork as well as dealing with the real world.

Differences From The Book
While at the middle of the series in length, the film Half-Blood Prince did add or change events in the literary canon. The book begins with a scene involving the Muggle Prime Minister. Yates and his crew debated over this scene, as well as the character Rufus Scrimgeour, but gave up the beginning of the movie to events described but not seen in the book. Yates thought it would give the audience a feel for what the Death Eaters were doing if they showed the collapse of the Millennium Bridge rather than simply describe it . As with Goblet of Fire, the Dursleys were cut, which Steve Kloves did to “break the pattern”. Further background of Tom Riddle was removed, such as the Gaunts because they felt it more important to concentrate on Riddle as a young boy, and an additional action scene at the Burrow was added to keep with the tone of the franchise. Yates felt that they needed “an injection of jeopardy and danger” and that without it there was too much comedy and lightness. A small battle scene at Hogwarts which happened during the end of the book was also cut Heyman commented that it was removed to ” repetition” with the forthcoming adaptation of the Battle of Hogwarts in Deathly Hallows. Dumbledore’s funeral was removed as it was believed it did not fit with the rest of the film.
What Is The Point Of The Half
In Half-Blood Prince, the fact is described entirely by interpretation rather than facts. This can be both a positive and a negative thing.
For example, when it comes to self-confidence, the influence of intuition may be beneficial: since Ron knows he drank the Felix Felicis and believes he is fortunate, he plays Quidditch like a champion.
In another example, we see how illusion will dangerously overwhelm the facts by love potions: Voldemorts mother offering his father a love potion, Romilda trying to give Harry a love potion that Ron accidentally drinks.
The potency of such a potion is more sinister than it seems on the table.
When Snape murders Dumbledore, we see a huge example of interpretation distorting reality.
As readers, we view life through Harrys eyes, and what Harry sees is Snape killing Dumbledore coldly. It also seems to Harry that Dumbledore begs him not to.
And when Harry discovers that the locket is false, it appears that his and Dumbledores efforts have been in vain.
That Dumbledore died in vain. Harry, on the other hand, has a narrow understanding of truth.
He is unaware of Snapes Unbreakable Vow made to defend Malfoy. And, as we learn in Deathly Hallows, Snapes murder of Dumbledore was just part of the scheme. Nothing is as it seems, particularly in Half-Blood Prince.
The idea of overcoming ones history is central to Half-Blood Prince.
In light of all of this, Harry learns who he is and what his intention is, which most adults cannot tell.

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire Real
The activities of Goblet of Fire took place between 1994 and 1995. Filming took place between June 25th, 2004, and a date I cannot recall, but it was a very long film.
We can estimate that post-production took 6 months because that is how long the last one took, so shooting finished in May 2005. On November 6, 2005, it was finally released. This is the first movie in which we see the darker theme. After all, our characters are now in puberty and are showing angst.
The film is the first in the series to be rated PG-13 in the United States and 12A in the United Kingdom. The production began in early 2004. Leavesden Film Studios was used to film the Hogwarts scenes.
Five days after its debut, the film had earned more than US$102 million at the North American box office, making it the third-highest first-weekend haul for a Harry Potter film, behind only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2.
Goblet of Fire had an enormously profitable box office run, grossing $896 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of 2005 and the sixth-highest-grossing film in the Harry Potter franchise.
Rita Skeeter Probably Wrote A Tell
Rita Skeeter is a journalist and author in the Wizarding World known for her sensationalized tell-alls, including The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore.
In a 2007 interview with Bloomsbury, Rowling joked that Skeeter would probably have gone on to write a biography titled Snape: Scoundrel or Saint? after the characters death.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix Real
The events of Order of the Phoenix take place between 1995 and 1996. Filming began on February 7, 2006, and continued until December 31, 2006. It was released on June 28th, 2007.
From February to November 2006, live-action shooting took place in England and Scotland for outdoor locations, and at Leavesden Film Studios in Watford for interior locations, with a one-month break in June.
Post-production on the film lasted several months after it was finished in order to incorporate special effects. According to reports, the films budget ranged between £75 and £100 million .
The film was released in the United Kingdom on July 12, 2007, and in North America on July 11, 2007, in both traditional and IMAX theaters it is the first Potter film to be released in IMAX 3D.
Order of the Phoenix is the longest novel in the Harry Potter series, with 766 pages in the British edition and 870 in the American edition, but the film is the second shortest.
The inclusion or exclusion of certain characters sparked fan speculation about the significance of the characters in the final book of the series, which was released only ten days after the film.
In April 2006, Jim McManus representatives announced that he would be playing Aberforth Dumbledore, Albus brother and the bartender at the Hogs Head, where Harry and his friends discovered Dumbledores Army.
