Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

Harry Potter Theme Song 1 Hour Long!!!

Released one year after Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Chris Columbus finished up his two-film run with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Columbus had previously worked well with children as a director on films like Home Alone and a writer on Goonies. He was perfect to launch the franchise.

This second movie continued Harry’s learning and discovery of magic. It also showed what dangers he faced in the future as the past of Lord Voldemort, the main antagonist of future movies, was dealt with here. The film made $879 million and was the second highest-grossing film of 2002.

The Rest Of The Harry Potter Series

The remaining movies from the series actually dont have extended versions, at least not officially. The extended versions of the first two movies were released with the Wizarding Collection, but there were no extended versions of the rest of the franchise.

However, there is a bunch of deleted scenes from the theatrical versions that were a topic of discussion among fans for many years. Most of these scenes according to fans would have made the movies much better, especially when it comes to the last movie.

There are many different scenes fans want to see released in the extended versions but there is a small number that gets mentioned any time the extended versions are mentioned.

The first one and perhaps the best-known one is Draco ultimately switching sides in the last move. Allegedly, the extended versions would feature Draco running across the Hogwarts yard once Harry reveals himself as alive and throws him his own wand.

A lot of fans wanted to see this scene featured since it serves as a good closure to Dracos are over the course of the series as well as make the epilogue of the story make more sense.

Another fan-favorite among the deleted scenes is the one from the last movie where Harry says goodbye to his cousin and his parents before they move away from their home.

Home Market Releases For March 28th 2017

Its a good week for Pick of the Week contenders, as there are seven such releases on this weeks list. Unfortunately, none of them really scream out as The Pick of the Week. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is by far the biggest, but it is only out on Video on Demand right now, while Hidden Figures is the best, but again, it is only on VOD this week. There are also a couple of busted Oscar-bait films, Archer: Season Seven is only getting a DVD release, while the previous seasons came out on Blu-ray. In the end, I went with Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XXXVIII, partially to celebrate the return of the show. More

Differences From The Book

Columbus repeatedly checked with Rowling to make sure he was getting minor details correct. Kloves described the film as being “really faithful” to the book. He added dialogue, of which Rowling approved. One of the lines originally included had to be removed after Rowling told him that it would directly contradict an event in the then-unreleased fifth Harry Potter novel Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The book’s timeline is not enforced in the film. In the book, Harry’s eleventh birthday is in 1991. On the film set for 4 Privet Drive, Dudley’s certificates from primary school bear the year 2001.

Do Hermione and Ron get divorced?

I would expect Ron has probably divorced Hermione already. Theres one particular timeline where Ron and Hermione never ended up married, which causes huge ramifications for their adult personalities. The only problem with that scenario is that it was Ron who happily married Padma Patil, and Hermione remained single.

It wasnt a surprise when it was confirmed that HBO Max were actively inviting pitches for streaming projects set in the Harry Potter universe, when the brand continues to be one of Warner Bros. highest-earning and most marketable properties, even a decade after Daniel Radcliffe ended his stint as The Boy Who Lived.

As well as the expanded Wizarding World hauling in well over $9 billion at the box office, the merchandising empire perpetually brings in serious cash on annual basis. The Fantastic Beasts spinoff series might be struggling to keep its head above water just two movies in with another three still to go, but you can guarantee WB will keep milking the incredibly lucrative cash cow for as long as possible.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 & Part 2

Finally, the last book had been so big that it was actually split into two movies.

This is Harrys seventh and final year of what was supposed to be a full study at Hogwarts.

With so many enemies abound, this turns out not to be the case.

These two movies contain some of the biggest adventures in the series as they take place in various locations.

Our sensational wizard in both of these movies is seventeen going on eighteen.

Keep in mind, as with all the movies, that his birthday is shortly after the beginning of the movie.

So, in the case of the first movie, hes briefly sixteen years old, and in the second hes seventeen throughout the whole picture.

Two Part Show Was Overly Long And Somewhat Boring

Playwright Jack Thorne, director John Tiffany and author J.K. Rowling, worked on a new condensed version of the show, which was easy enough to do, because the 2-part show was often repetitive and boring through its six hour total length. Critics often fell asleep at this show and only woke up to wipe away the excess dribble. Potter superfans lapped up every moment at the show, but producers know that these fanatics are getting older and far fewer in numbers. Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender realized that the show could start appealing to the mainstream and they took the COVID hiatus as an opportunity to rework the show.

The new one-parter show will also be able to sell better in the post COVID-19 economy, where ticket buyers and visitors are a great deal more scarce. No parent in their right mind would let their child come in NYC by themselves, there is a realization that were not in Kansas anymore.

Writers on education and business subjects have used the book as an object lesson. Writing about clinical teaching in medical schools, Jennifer Conn contrasted Snapes technical expertise with his intimidating behaviour towards students. Quidditch coach Madam Hooch on the other hand, illustrated useful techniques in the teaching of physical skills, including breaking down complex actions into sequences of simple ones and helping students to avoid common errors. Joyce Fields wrote that the books illustrate four of the five main topics in a typical first-year sociology class: sociological concepts including culture, society, and socialisation stratification and social inequality social institutions and social theory.

Stephen Brown noted that the early Harry Potter books, especially Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, were a runaway success despite inadequate and poorly organised marketing. Brown advised marketing executives to be less preoccupied with rigorous statistical analyses and the analysis, planning, implementation, and control model of management. Instead he recommended that they should treat the stories as a marketing masterclass, full of enticing products and brand names. For example, a real-world analogue of Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans was introduced under licence in 2000 by toymaker Hasbro.
