But, these days, watching the Harry Potter movies in order is a little more complicated than it used to be. Warner Bros. has also released two movies in its Fantastic Beasts prequel film series , which are set in the 1920s and introduce a young Dumbledore along the way.
Nymphadora Tonks Natalia Tena
Tonks may have been sidelined in the Harry Potter films more than we would have liked, but Natalia Tena did a wonderful job with what she had. Her talents did not go to waste, as she moved on to star in another hugely popular fantasy series, Game of Thrones. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
Harry’s fifth year begins with him being attacked by Dementors in Little Whinging. Later, he finds out that the Ministry of Magic is in denial of Lord Voldemort’s return. Harry becomes aware that Voldemort is after a prophecy which reveals: “neither can live while the other survives.” The rebellion involving the students of Hogwarts, secret organisation Order of the Phoenix, the Ministry of Magic, and the Death Eaters begins.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and some studios were closed for the day, but we have a full list of box office numbers today. Ralph Breaks the Internet continued to lead the way at the box office with $10.3 million on Thursday for a two-day total of $28.8 million. The film is still well above Coco and Moanas two-day pace, but it fell 44% from its Wednesday debut, which is a sharper decline than either of those two films suffered. It is on pace to dominate the five-day weekend with $85 million, which is below yesterdays pace and below Frozens record-setting wide expansion, but I cant imagine there are many people at Disney that are disappointed with this result. The films reviews and its A minus from CinemaScore, plus its family friendly target audience should help it last in theaters till the new year and it should be profitable enough that the studio will want to turn the franchise into a trilogy. This revelation, delivered by a gruff, hairy giant named Hagrid, sets Harry on a fantastical journey of a lifetime.

However, Harry also makes plenty of enemies at Hogwarts, most notably the arrogant Draco Malfoy and the nasty potions master, Snape . And from battling a troll on Halloween to his first exhilarating Quidditch match not to mention the novels climax, in which Harry goes up against Voldemort for the second time in his young life theres never a dull moment in the first year of his new adventure.
Sorcerers Stone also perfectly balances exciting action with touching emotion, as Harry finds a true family in Ron and Hermione after years of misery with the Dursleys. Indeed, the books small, moving moments such as Harry being floored by a gift from Rons mother, or Hermiones tearful declaration at the end about books and cleverness are just as magical as the spells themselves.

How To Watch Harry Potter Movies Online
Since September 1, all eight of the Harry Potter movies are available to stream on HBO Max in the US which is hardly surprising, seeing as the Warner Bros-owned streaming platform will consider the hit franchise as an excellent way to attract new subscribers. The movies were previously available via the Peacock service, though, and you can also rent or buy the series on services like Amazon.
In the UK, you can’t currently stream the Harry Potter movies, but you can rent or buy them on Amazon, iTunes and more. HBO Max is expected to launch on British shores soon, but we’re unsure when that’ll be The complete Harry Potter series is also available on Blu-Ray.
Meanwhile, the two Fantastic Beasts movies aren’t currently streaming in the US or the UK.

Are The Harry Potter Movies On Peacock Or Hbo Max
Wait, didn’t Peacock have the Harry Potter movies? Or was it HBO Max? Yes, they have swapped ownership of the franchise since they both launched. Currently , both services are streaming all Harry Potter movies.
HBO Max streamed the Harry Potter movies when it launched in summer 2020. See, WarnerMedia owns the Harry Potter film franchise. However, the corporation sold the broadcast and cable rights to NBCUniversal, which owns Peacock. But WarnerMedia borrowed them back likely for a hefty fee so that its new streaming service could launch with some big titles.
Then, the Harry Potter movies moved back to Peacock, where they streamed on and off through 2021. They returned to HBO Max over the summer. In October, both streamers have them.
And then who knows what will happen in 2025, when NBCUniversal’s TV rights lapse.
As writer Jess Mason joked on , “Harry Potter is like the child of a divorce where the parents are Universal and Warner Bros and the franchise just keeps being pulled to different homes.”

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald earned $9.1 million during previews on Thursday, which is better than Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them managed. Granted, it was better by mere percentage points, as that earlier film earned $8.75 million during its previews. Where it goes from here is a bit of a mystery. On the one hand, its reviews are much worse than the previous installments reviews were and it is a sequel. Both of those facts suggest shorter legs. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald is the second in a five movie plan to further flesh out these characters. This film focuses mainly on Credence, Newt and his family, and Grindelwalds scheming. Jude Law joins the cast as young Dumbledore in this movie.
The Crimes of Grindelwald received a mainly negative reaction from die hard Harry Potter fans. However, if you enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts movie, you likely wont completely hate this one, unless you really dont like changes to the established canon. If youre new to Harry Potter and thinking of turning away because of Potter fans keep telling you to stop now, dont listen. At least give this film a chance and decide for yourself whether to hate it or think its fine. Not the best, but not terrible.
Fantastic Beasts 3 is expected to hit theaters on November 12, 2021, but with a delayed filming schedule, it might be a bit longer before we see another Harry Potter movie. Luckily, as we wait for the next film installment, we can always rent or buy any of or other video on demand services.
