Dumbledore’s Blood Pact With Gellert Remains A Mystery
Much like Dumbledore’s romantic connection with Gellert, the blood pact between the two remains a mystery. The detail was introduced in the Fantastic Beasts movies. Created during their teenage years, it doesn’t allow them to hurt each other. The blood pact is tied to Gellert Grindelwald pendant, which Newt Scamander’s niffler steals during the Battle in the Lestrange Family Mausoleum in Paris.
Beyond that, not much is known about the spell. By 1945, Dumbledore will break the blood pact, as that is when he and Gellert have their fateful duel. That may or may not happen in this movie, but more details on the actual spell would still be nice.
The Movie Should Finally Take Viewers To Ilvermorny
Considering the importance of Hogwarts in the main series, it seems strange that the American school of wizardry, Ilvermorny, has yet to make an appearance in Fantastic Beasts. The movies have made references to it, as Newt Scamander’s girlfriend, Tina, and her sister Queenie are both graduates of the school. With Fantastic Beasts 3, viewers may finally travel to Ilvermorny, as it appears that the Ilvermorny Charms professor, Eulalie Hicks, will play a bigger role.
The Movie Should Address Dumbledore’s Sexuality
Ever since J.K. Rowling stated in an interview that Dumbledore was gay, this aspect of his background has been a plot thread that desperately needed to be handled. Many fans were displeased with the author for introducing it so suddenly, having shown no sign of Dumbledore’s sexuality in the actual books. This didn’t provide real representation.
With Fantastic Beasts, the opportunity finally came to fix this oversight. The first two movies proved to be disappointing in this regard, as the point is barely addressed. Dumbledore’s connection to Gellert is hinted at when he sees his lost lover in the Mirror of Erised, but there’s no real confirmation beyond that. If Fantastic Beasts 3 intends to reveal Dumbledore’s secrets, it should start there.

Who Is Aurelius Dumbledore
In the last minutes of the movie, Grindelwalds followers decamp to Nurmengard, the prison that Grindelwald builds for dissenters and eventually becomes his own jailhouse. There, Grindelwald reveals that Credence is in fact Aurelius Dumbledore, Albus Dumbledores brother.
We dont yet know why a secret Dumbledore brother has never been mentioned before in the Harry Potter universe or how the Dumbledore baby ended up on the boat to America.Rita Skeeter would be disappointed to learn she hadnt dug up all the dirt on the Dumbledores.
Grindelwald offers one impressive piece of evidence: He tells Credence that a phoenix is said to appear to Dumbledores in times of need, and a phoenix does, indeed, appear to Credence. Could this possibly by a young Fawkes?
If Credence is, indeed, a Dumbledore, that means that Albus Dumbledore had two Obscurial siblings. Grindelwald feels that Credences power and perhaps Dumbledores guilt over Arianas fate will be his most powerful weapon against the great wizard.

Part three of the Harry Potter prequel series had better have some good tricks up its sleeve or the future of this tarnished franchise will be in doubt
The news this week that the latest instalment in the Fantastic Beasts saga will be titled The Secrets of Dumbledore has been met with a chorus of meh across the geekosphere. The general consensus seems to be that after 2018s misfiring sequel, The Crimes of Grindelwald, these magical mysteries better be up there with the recipe for KFC if Warner Bros want fans to tune back in for part three.
Its a pity, because JK Rowlings venture into fantasy screenwriting promised so much. Freed from the structures of her Harry Potter novels, with their Malory Towers on magical Kool-Aid veneer, she wrote an opener, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, that offered an enticing vision of the wizarding worlds recent history. Even the Crimes of Grindelwald, for all its muddled, often strangely meaningless plotting and messy characterisation, boasted an enduring sorcerous sparkle.
But with the various off-screen travails endured by both Rowling and star Johnny Depp in the intervening period, as well as the sagas on-screen slump, the shine has rather rubbed off this particular golden snitch. The Secrets of Dumbledore, in which Depp will be replaced as Grindelwald by Mads Mikkelsen, really needs to take home the Quidditch Cup if the proposed five-film series is not to be cut unceremoniously short.
When Is It Set
The film is set several years after The Crimes of Grindelwald and it follows Albus Dumbledore tasking Newt Scamander and his allies with a mission that takes them into the heart of dark wizard, Geller Grindelwald’s, army.
Principal photography of the film was set to begin in early 2020, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Filming officially started on September 20, 2020 with safety precautions in place to keep the cast and crew secure from COVID-19.

Fantastic Beasts 3 Is Titled The Secrets Of Dumbledore
We’ve had to wait a little longer than planned for the third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise we’d blame Grindelwald, but the real cause is much smaller and more insidious and Warner Bros. has now announced both that it’s called The Secrets Of Dumbledore and will be out earlier than originally planned.
The new movie, which brings us back to the adventures of Newt Scamander , has also released a brief official storyline… “Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwalds growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”
From the sounds of it, we can expect more action this time around from Jude Law‘s younger version of Dumbledore. Meanwhile, Mads Mikkelsen is taking over the role of Grindelwald from Johnny Depp.
With David Yates once again directing, and working from a script by JK Rowling and Potter veteran Steve Kloves, the film also stars Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler and Jessica Williams. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore will now arrive on 15 April next year, bumped up from its original July release plan.
Does Dumbledore Really Have A Long Lost Brother
Of many major cliffhangers at the end of Crimes of Grindelwald, one particularly stuck out. Johnny Depps Grindelwald revealed to Ezra Millers Credence Barebone that he is the long-lost brother of Dumbledore, Aurelius Dumbledore. It was a controversial reveal because no fan had ever heard of this name, and it messes with some aspects of the Wizarding World timeline. An important distinction that wed need to learn sooner rather than later is whether Grindelwald was speaking the truth and Dumbledore does in fact have another brother in Credence, or if the villain is manipulating Credence with the reveal and the original timeline remains intact.
Theres already been some other inconsistencies in terms of the Fantastic Beasts timeline conflicting with the original one, so its possible it could very well turn out to be true. Credence is an Obscurial, making him incredibly dangerous, and perhaps a child that could have been cast out of the Dumbledore family. Were really curious how this potential secret plays out.

Its been a long time away from the Wizarding World, but in less than a year, well finally have more to talk about regarding the franchise when the next Fantastic Beasts movie comes to theaters next April. As revealed last week, we have an official title for Fantastic Beasts 3, and it will be called Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Perhaps mirroring the previous Crimes of Grindelwald, which introduced audiences to the dark wizard, this time around, we might learn more about Jude Laws Albus Dumbledore. Going into the film, theres a few secrets about him were curious to learn about.
Now theres more than a few secrets about Dumbledore wed like to know, and with that in mind, it may not be in the best interest of the third Fantastic Beasts movie to outright spill them all in the 2022 release. Though before the spinoff franchise ends, we do hope to know them and understand Albus a bit better, because these movies are a great opportunity to get to know the man who would later be the headmaster of Hogwarts and an important figure in Harry Potters life. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows
Rowling used several chapters in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to reveal two major details concerning Dumbledore: his early life and his death. The book introduces his parents, Percival and Kendra Dumbledore, as well as his little sister, Ariana his brother, Aberforth Dumbledore, was mentioned in previous books. At six years old, Ariana was attacked by three Muggle boys who had witnessed her performing magic. Because of this attack, Ariana was seriously traumatised and never able to control her magic again. Enraged, Percival attacked the Muggle boys , and was given a life sentence in Azkaban. After this, Kendra moved her family to the village of Godric’s Hollow. In one of her outbursts, Ariana accidentally killed Kendra at around the time that Albus completed his education. Albus became the head of the family and was forced to remain in his house with his sister while Aberforth completed his education.

Decades later, in 1945, Dumbledore finally defeated the now-Dark wizard Grindelwald, who had come to possess the Elder Wand. Grindelwald’s defeat made Dumbledore the master of the Elder Wand, which remained his until just before his death, when Draco used the Disarming Charm on him.
Dumbledore had another Hallow in his keeping since the death of James Potter: the Invisibility Cloak, which he had borrowed to examine. When James died, Dumbledore kept the cloak and decided to pass it on to Harry, James’ son.

Newt Scamander’s Adventures Deserved Their Own Story
Newt Scamander deserved his own adventure series. When Fantastic Beasts focused on expanding the Wizarding World by introducing American wizard culture and new mythical beings, the series breathed fresh air into a long-established world. The narrative lost much of its charm when it moved its focus away from magizoology Newt’s story was colorful and magical but the other storylines were dark, even bordering on bleak. Adding so many other elements and plot threads to the franchise has left the story rather muddled and detracted from its original purpose. Instead of a lighthearted narrative about never-before-seen creatures and unlikely heroes, Fantastic Beasts has become another dark story about betrayal, sacrifice, and the fate of the Wizarding World. The Secrets Of Dumbledore is set up to become just another Harry Potter mainline movie, and it would make more sense to separate it from Fantastic Beasts.

Who Is In The Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore Cast
The main quartet of actors of the series Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol are all returning for the third film, as are series alums Ezra Miller, Callum Turner and the aforementioned Jude Law.
However, Johnny Depp, who portrayed Grindelwald in the first two films, will not be returning for the next adventure. Depp was removed from the role following the accusations of domestic abuse against him in the U.K. courts. The filmmakers have tapped Mads Mikkelsen to take over the role of Grindelwald.

How Is Leta Lestrange Related To Bellatrix
The first Fantastic Beasts movie teased the appearance of Leta Lestrange , presumably a relation of the evil Bellatrix Lestrange and her husband Rodolphus Lestrange from the Harry Potter series. We learn that while Leta was Newts girlfriend at some point she is now engaged to his brother Theseus.
Fans might assume from her last name that Leta was intrigued by dark magic, like most of her relatives. But while Letas father was a truly horrible man who used the Imperius Curse to steal another mans wife and impregnate her, Leta the child born of that assault does not inherit her fathers evil inclinations.
Leta feels guilty for switching out her crying baby brother for another baby on a ship to America, just to get a moments rest. When the ship sank, Letas true brother went with it. The other baby survived with Leta. That means that Credence is not a part of the Lestrange family, despite what many in the film suspected. Leta proves her story with a Lestrange family tree that looks similar to the Black family tree featured in Order of the Phoenix.
And at the end of the movie, Leta sacrifices herself in an attempt to fight Grindelwald and save Newt and Theseus. Letas untimely death means that she cannot be a direct ancestor of Bellatrixs husband Rodolphus, since Leta did not have a childat least that we know of. Rodolphus must be descended from another branch of the Lestrange family.
Dumbledores Conflict With The Ministry Of Magic
Meet young Dumbledore. At this time, Dumbledore is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. We see him teach a class on Boggarts that closely parallels the lesson Professor Remus Lupin gave Harry and his classmates decades later.
Fans find out that Dumbledores uneasy relationship with the wizarding government began early in the professors Hogwarts career. Officials from the Ministry of Magic interrupt the class to confront Dumbledore: they allege that hes working against them by sending Newt Scamander to America and then Paris to protect Credence, an Obscurial, from Grindelwald.
When Dumbledore evades their questions, they forbid him from continuing to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. A boy named McLaggen comes to Dumbledores defense, saying hes the best teacher theyve had.

What Is The Release Date Of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore
Warner Bros. also announced that they are changing the date of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore from July 15, 2022, to April 15, 2022. The Fantastic Beast movie is on this weekend. It will be against two other movies, but it will still be very popular.
Warner Bros. has already announced that it would not be continuing its hybrid release strategy with HBO Max that has seen all of the studios 2021 films get a simultaneous, limited release on the streaming service as in theaters. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be on the big screen for a little while before it is on the computer or tv.
