Molly and Arthur Weasley welcomed a son by the name of Ron on 1st March he celebrates his 17th birthday on that date, under the influence of Romilda Vane’s love potion, in Half Blood Prince.
And Hermione Granger celebrated her first birthday, having been welcomed into the muggle world on 19th September 1979.
Over at the Ministry of Magic, Millicent Bagnold took control, staying in power as Minister until 1990. Her real-life counterpart, Margaret Thatcher, made her “Lady’s not for turning speech” that same year. We bet that proved for a lively first meeting with The Other Minister.
How Old Is Hermione Granger
Hermione Jean Granger was born on 19 September 1979. She was an English Muggle-born witch born to Mr. and Mrs. Granger. At the age of eleven, she learned about her magical nature and was accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hermione began attending Hogwarts in 1991 and was Sorted into Gryffindor House. She possessed a superb educational mind and it was known she would be a remarkable student in virtually every subject that she studied.
During her fourth year, Hermione became an advocate for the better treatment of house-elves, forming the association S.P.E.W., and helped in Harrys preparation for the Triwizard Tournament. In her fifth year, Hermione became one of the founders of Dumbledores Army and fought alongside other members in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries.
In her sixth year, Hermione continued her role as Prefect and fought in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower. Hermione truly had a major role in a few other alternative battles of the Second Wizarding War, too. In 1997, she fought in the famous Battle of the Seven Potters, along with the members and friends in Order of the Phoenix.

Completion Of The Series
In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, 2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series. Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 January 2007.
Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book was completed in something like 1990. In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character got a reprieve and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.
In September 2012, Rowling mentioned in an interview that she might go back to make a directors cut of two of the existing Harry Potter books.

While the series doesn’t list his exact birth date, evidence indicating Harry’s age first surfaced in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when he celebrated the deathday anniversary of Nearly Headless Nick. This celebration fell on October 31, 1992, when Harry was 12. If Harry existed outside the pages of author J.K. Rowling’s novels and off the big screen, he would be 38 years old. He’d likely celebrate this momentous occasion with friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley in addition to his wife Ginny Weasley and their children Albus Severus, James Sirius and Lily Luna.
Rowling shares a birthday with the half-blood wizard. Her birth year, however, is 1965. She’s now 53.
Rowling’s first conceptualized Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 1990 while experiencing train delays from Manchester to London King’s Cross. The book was initially rejected 12 times before Bloomsbury accepted the work in 1996. It later hit shelves in the United Kingdom on June 26, 1997. The book found its way to the United States in 1998 through Scholastic. In America, the title was changed to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Harry first appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Starting in 1981, when Harry was just one year old, his parents, James and Lily, were murdered by the most powerful Dark Wizard, Lord Voldemort . He attempted to kill Harry too, but was unsuccessful and only left a lightning bolt shaped scar on Harry’s forehead. Voldemort’s body was destroyed, but his soul was not. Harry later learns that the reason why he survived was that his mother sacrificed herself for him, and her love was something that Voldemort could not destroy.
According to Rowling, fleshing out this back story was a matter of reverse planning: “The basic idea Harry … didn’t know he was a wizard … and so then I kind of worked backwards from that position to find out how that could be, that he wouldn’t know what he was… That’s… When he was one year old, the most evil wizard for hundreds and hundreds of years attempted to kill him. He killed Harry’s parents, and then he tried to kill Harryhe tried to curse him…. Harry has to find out, before we find out. And for some mysterious reason, the curse didn’t work on Harry. So he’s left with this lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead, and the curse rebounded upon the evil wizard who has been in hiding ever since”.

The Death Eaters Were Almost Called The Knights Of Walpurgis
During his school years, Tom Riddle formed a group of friends he was able to manipulate to do his bidding. Many of these friends went on to become his loyal band of Death Eaters during the First Wizarding War and beyond.
In an interview with the BBC, Rowling revealed that she had originally planned to call the group the âKnights of Walpurgis.â After all these years, sheâs even kept a scrap of paper referencing that name in case she ever decides to use it.

Lord Voldemort was the most powerful, skilled and dangerous dark wizard of all time. He was amongst the greatest wizards to have ever lived, often considered to be the second most powerful wizard in history, his only superior being Albus Dumbledore. Combined with his utter megalomania, Voldemort was regarded as the most powerful and most dangerous Dark Wizard of all time, being the only dark wizard to surpass Gellert Grindelwald.

Dobbys Birthday 28 June
J.K. Rowling added Dobbys birthday, June 28, to one of her websites several years ago. Significantly, this is the same date as Rowlings sister Dianne, who is a big Dobby fan.
It seems that Rowling gave Dobby this birthdate after learning of the affinity between him and her sister, suggesting that it was not something that she had in mind when creating the character.

Ron Weasleys birthday is on March 1st. We find out about Rons birthday in the Half-Blood Prince as he is opening a variety of presents.
He accidentally finds a box of Chocolate Cauldrons, and eats some assuming they are for him, but these were in fact a present to Harry from Romilda Vane and spiked with love potion.
Harry takes Ron to Professor Slughorn for a cure, and to get information out of the reluctant professor.
But there, Ron imbibes a more serious poison in an oak-matured mead given to him by Professor Slughorn. Ron is saved by a bezoar, but spends the rest of his birthday in the hospital wing.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
In the second book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Rowling pits Harry against Tom Riddle, Lord Voldemort’s “memory” within a secret diary which has possessed Ron’s younger sister Ginny. When Muggle-born students are suddenly being Petrified, many suspect that Harry may be behind the attacks, further alienating him from his peers. Furthermore, Harry begins to doubt his worthiness for House of Gryffindor, particularly considering he discovers he shares Lord Voldemort’s ability to communicate with snakes via Parseltongue. In the climax, Ginny disappears. To rescue her, Harry battles Riddle and the monster he controls that is hidden in the Chamber of Secrets. To defeat the monster, Harry summons the Sword of Godric Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat supplied by Dumbledore’s pet phoenix, Fawkes. In doing so, Dumbledore later restores Harry’s self-esteem by explaining that that feat is clear proof of his worthiness of his present house.

It’s probably something you’ve never considered before, but James and Lily Potter were actually only 19 years old when they married – and 20 years old when they gave birth to Harry.
As Pottermore, a website endorsed by J.K. Rowling, details, Lily Potter was born on 30 January 1960 to two Muggle parents, Mr and Mrs Evans.
Along with her older sister Petunia, the family lived in Cokeworth, England, and – as detailed in the 33rd chapter of the Deathly Hallows book, it was Severus Snape who helped Lily to discover that she was a witch.
Fast forward to 1972 and the age of 11, Lily and Severus enroll at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is where Lily met Harry’s father, James Potter.
James was born on 27 March 1960 as the only child of wealthy, elderly parents . He was cocky during his time at Hogwarts, though JK Rowling notes in Philosopher’s Stone that he “deflated his head a bit” by seventh year, 1977, when he was named Head Boy and started dating Lily.
The pair within a year sometime between summer of 1978 and fall of 1979 – which would make them 19-years-old when they tied the knot.
Now, we know that Harry Potter was born on 31 July 1980 so, taking into consideration the above narrative, would mean his mother had turned 20-years-old the previous January, and his father in the prior March.
Woah. Why have we never considered this before?

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, he and his friends are twelve. In the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the Ministry of Magic has been waging a smear campaign against Harry and Dumbledore, disputing their claims that Voldemort has returned. Harry is made to look like an attention-seeking liar, and Dumbledore a trouble-maker. A new character is introduced when the Ministry of Magic appoints Dolores Umbridge as the latest Hogwarts’ Defence Against the Dark Arts instructor . Because the paranoid Ministry suspects that Dumbledore is building a wizard army to overthrow them, Umbridge refuses to teach students real defensive magic. She gradually gains more power, eventually ousting Dumbledore and seizing control of the school. As a result, Harry’s increasingly angry and erratic behaviour nearly estranges him from Ron and Hermione.
Rowling says she put Harry through extreme emotional stress to show his emotional vulnerability and humanitya contrast to his nemesis, Voldemort. ” a very human hero, and this is, obviously, a contrast, between him, as a very human hero, and Voldemort, who has deliberately dehumanised himself. And Harry, therefore, did have to reach a point where he did almost break down, and say he didn’t want to play any more, he didn’t want to be the hero any more and he’d lost too much. And he didn’t want to lose anything else. So that Phoenix was the point at which I decided he would have his breakdown.”
