According to a January 2003 article by Gordon Murray, a fellow ISM activist, in the last month of her life Corrie “spent a lot of time at the Canada Well helping protect Rafah municipal workers” who were trying to repair damage to the well done by Israeli bulldozers. Canada Well was built in 1999 with CIDA funding. It, along with El Iskan Well, had supplied more than 50% of Rafah’s water before the damage. The city had been under “strict rationing ” since. Murray writes that ISM activists were maintaining a presence there since “Israeli snipers and tanks routinely shot at civilian workers trying to repair the wells.” In one of her reports, Corrie wrote that despite her group’s having received permission from the Israeli District Command Office and the fact that they were carrying “banners and megaphones the activists and workers were fired upon several times over a period of about one hour. One of the bullets came within two metres of three internationals and a municipal water worker close enough to spray bits of debris in their faces as it landed at their feet.”

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Snape demonstrates his expertise with potions by brewing the complex Wolfsbane potion for the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Remus Lupin. James realised the danger and stopped Snape, saving his life this is the incident Dumbledore referred to at the end of the first book. Snape, however, believes James’ actions were self-serving, to avoid being expelled.

By situating themselves visibly between the Palestinians and the Israeli snipers manning the watchtowers they hoped to discourage shooting by displaying banners stating that they were “internationals”. When Israeli soldiers fired warning shots, Corrie and her colleagues dismantled their tent and left the area.

Rickman portrayed Professor Severus Snape across all eight moviesin the Harry Potter franchise. But after appearing as Snape in HarryPotter and the Chamber of Secrets, Rickman had doubts about his charactersfuture.

Snape’s death is one of the most emotional moments in the series.
In the film, as Harry is holding a dying Snape in his arms, the professor uses his final words to repeat a line we’ve heard from several other characters throughout the series: “You have your mother’s eyes.”
The book, however, is a bit more subtle. He simply says “Look … at … me …,” presumably, so he could see Lily’s eyes one last time.

The director of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Edward Kemp, said the school would be much the poorer without the involvement of Rickman, who was vice chairman of its council.
He was generous with his time, his insight, his money, his experience, not only to RADA students but to young actors and theatre makers across the spectrum, he said in a statement. He will be much missed.
Actress Emma Thompson, who appeared with Rickman in Judas Kiss, Love Actually, Sense and Sensibility and three of the Harry Potter films, issued a moving statement mourning his death, according to numerous media outlets.
His fans still have a few new things to look forward to.
Made The Dream Of A Child With Cancer Come True
The production invited terminally ill children to the set, to meet the actors and see the magic of the place. The whole cast was always very friendly to visitors, but Alan Rickman made it possible for a teenager to be an extra on the set of Prisoner of Azkaban.
Rickman met Jay and was talking to him about films, when the boy mentioned that he really wanted to be in the film, the actor converted to Snape and asked the producers why they hadn’t included him in the film. To make it happen, he took him with the other kids to be an extra.

According to Wizarding World, a Patronus is generated through “memories of happiness and hope.” Because of this, there are few dark wizards who can conjure them.
As far as readers and viewers know, Snape was the only Death Eater to cast a Patronus spell throughout the series. Snape anonymously sent a silver doe into the Forest of Dean to help Harry with his mission in the final book/movie.
Since his happiest and most loving memories were with Harry’s mother, Lily, his Patronus took the same form as hers which is what made Harry follow it in the first place.
However, Snape isn’t the only villainous character in the series that uses a Patronus. Dolores Umbridge also casts a Patronus during “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

, along with several other UK supermarkets, having already taken pre-orders for the book at a heavily discounted price, sparked a price war two days before the book’s launch by announcing they would sell it for just £5 a copy. Other retail chains then also offered the book at discounted prices. At these prices the book became a . Independent shops protested loudest, but even , the UK’s largest dedicated chain bookstore, could not compete with the supermarket price. Some small bookstores hit back by buying their stock from the supermarkets rather than their wholesalers. Asda attempted to counter this by imposing a limit of two copies per customer to prevent bulk purchases. Philip Wicks, a spokesman for the , said, “It is a war we can’t even participate in. We think it’s a crying shame that the supermarkets have decided to treat it as a loss-leader, like a can of baked beans.” Michael Norris, an analyst at Simba Information, said: “You are not only lowering the price of the book. At this point, you are lowering the value of reading.”
