How Did Draco Reform Athenian Government
Around 621 BC the people of Athens commissioned Draco to devise a written law code and constitution, giving him the title of the first legislator of Athens. The literate could read the code at a central location accessible to anyone. This enactment of a rule of law was an early manifestation of Athenian democracy.
Draco Is Bad At Duelling As A Kid
You can tell how much of an unreliable narrator Harry is actually is based off just how sincerely he takes Dracos duelling skills at face value when the sub-text implies Draco isnt all that impressive. Despite being considered a competent duellist, Draco is consistently defeated in duels throughout the series. Pretty much every major duel Draco participates in during the course of his Hogwarts career ends with him either beaten or humiliated. Hes still considered a competent duellist in-universe, but this is more because of who he grows into.
Horace Slughorn & Pomona Sprout
Taurans live by the motto, “work hard, play hard.” They have a taste for the finer things and like to indulge in their pleasures – food, coffee, alcohol, sex – but only when it’s earned. Horace Slughorn loved surrounding himself with successful people and throwing lavish dinner parties for his esteemed friends.
Pomona Sprout was also a Taurus, demonstrating the other side of the zodiac sign’s coin, valuing hard work and encouraging her students when they showed promise. She was a firm yet maternal figure, with an affinity for gardening.

Creation For Books And Films
Rowling has suggested that she may have inadvertently taken the name from the hogwort plant , which she had seen at some time before writing the series, although the names “The Hogwarts” and “Hoggwart” appear in the 1954 book How to Be Topp by .
Most exterior scenes were shot on location at , but views of the exterior of the entire school were created from shots of with a digital spire added to the towers. Durham Cathedral also served as a set for Hogwarts interiors.
A scale model was created for exterior shots of the entire school. Models of Alnwick Castle and Durham Cathedral were also built to create more integration between the model and on location shots. It took a team of 86 artists and crew members 74 years worth of man hours to complete the model.

Felton Has Been Acting Since Childhood
Tom Felton is an actor who has been in the game far longer than most people realize. While he is best known for his work as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, the truth is that Felton has put together an impressive career that started back when he was just a kid.
Back in 1997, four years before his time playing Draco Malfoy, Felton was cast as Peagreen Clock in The Borrowers, which was a big break for the young actor. The film was a modest success that still maintains a sizable following all these years later. The following year, Felton had a role on Bugs, which was a British series.
In 1999, Felton would appeared in both Anna and the King and Second Sight, which kept the ball rolling for the young actor. Things, however, would take a massive turn in 2001 when Felton was cast as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise.
The Most Dangerous Type Of Magic
Oh man, there is a lot that could be said about the first PlayStation’s Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone game. The graphics were, well bad for even PlayStation standards. What some of you will remember is just how mean Draco is to Harry in this game. At more than one point in the game, he makes comments about Harry’s parents. For example, he mentions Harry’s mother, who he knows full well is no longer with him. He is brutal in this game, worse than he ever was in the movies.
Adding the Skyrim reference just makes it even more hilarious.
In a dark humor kind of way, this reference is pretty tongue in cheek but no less funny.

Draco’s Wand Regarding Voldemort’s Death
I strongly suggest the removal of the line:
- “Ironically enough, it was Draco’s wand that killed Tom Riddle once and for all, having been used by Harry in the final duel.”
Since it is not Draco’s wand that kills Voldemort but the rebounding killing curse Voldemort himself cast with the Elder Wand. Harry had just cast a Expelliarmus jinx at Voldemort, so it is impossible that Draco’s wand was the killing weapon.Sings-With-Spirits 00:59, January 13, 2010
- Technically, the Elder Wand did belong to Draco. As Harry explains in the Great Hall, Draco earned the Elder Wand’s allegiance when he disarmed Dumbledore on top of the Astronomy Tower near the end of Half-Blood Prince. —Cubs Fan 02:31, January 13, 2010
- What’s ironic is that the Elder Wanddid once belong to Dumbledore, and in that case, Dumbledore’s, Draco’s, and Harry’s wand killed Voldemort. The irony is that Dumbledore killed Voldemort, while Dumbledore was dead.184.108.40.206 00:31, April 19, 2011
- By that logic, Gellert Grimwald, Gregorovich the wandmaker and even Antioch Pevrell can take credit for killing Tom Riddle. It does not wash, particularly since the Elder Wand’s allegiance at the time was to Harrym not Draco. 220.127.116.11 01:12, June 10, 2012
Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone
Draco Malfoy : You’ll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter. You don’t wanna go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there.
Harry : I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks.
Professor McGonagall : Nothing, I repeat, nothing gives a student the right to walk about the school at night. Therefore, as punishment for your actions, 50 points will be taken.
Professor McGonagall : And to ensure it doesn’t happen again, all four of you will receive detention.
Draco Malfoy : Excuse me, professor, perhaps I heard you wrong. I thought you said the four of us.
Professor McGonagall : No, you heard me correctly, Mr. Malfoy. You see, honorable as your intentions were, you too were out of bed after hours. You will join your classmates in detention.
Caretaker Argus Filch : For God’s sake, pull yourself together man. You’re going into the Forest after all. Got to have your wits about ya…
Draco Malfoy : The Forest? I thought that was a joke. We can’t go in there. Students aren’t allowed. And there are-
Caretaker Argus Filch : Oh, there’s more than werewolves in those trees, lad. You can be sure of that. Nighty-night.
Draco Malfoy : Okay. Then I get Fang!
Hagrid : Fine. Just so you know, he’s a bloody coward.
Draco Malfoy : Wait ’til my father hears about this! This is servant’s stuff!
Harry : If I didn’t know any better, Draco, I’d say you were scared.
Draco Malfoy : I’m not scared, Potter!

Draco Isnt As Well Liked As Harry Lets On
Given that we rely on Harrys perspective to really zone in on who Draco is as a character, we naturally get quite a few details mixed up or flat out wrong. This isnt a flaw of Rowlings writing, but a strength. Harry is an unintentional narrator, and his bias influences how we perceive any given text while creating a more nuanced experience.
It’s easy to assume everyone likes your bully.
As a result, where Harry sees a Draco who is well loved by his school and faculty, the sub-text offers the idea that Draco really is not all that liked. He barely has any friends, he more or less coasts through schools in non-Snape taught classes, and it seems like the Hogwarts populace ignores him more often than not.
A Portuguese Notebook Reportedly Revealed Dracos Middle Name
Many middle names in the Wizarding World follow a pattern. For some, it may be their mother or fathers name . For others, it may come from a beloved or respected relative or friend. With Draco, its the former.
The Portuguese publishing house Editorial Presença released a notebook to accompany the release of Half-Blood Prince, and one page revealed Dracos middle name. Like Harry, that names takes its cue from his fathermaking his full name Draco Lucius Malfoy.
Just try not to laugh when he introduces himself.

Final Year At Hogwarts
There seem to be a couple of things wrong here. The Seventh book Draco’s mother explicitly states at Easter that Draco is “home for his holiday” which very much suggests he was attending Hogwarts . Surely the article should reflect this?
Also why does this page say “Afterwards, Draco and his family were detained to the Manor by Lord Voldemort” when referring to Harry’s escape from Malfoy Manor?Apart from being poor English, Voldemort mocks Lucius for the fact that Draco has not joined him like the rest of the Slytherins during the Battle of Hogwarts. This implies that Draco did return to Hogwarts after the Easter holidays, otherwise why would Voldemort expect him to be with the other Slytherins? The fact that his mother asks if Draco is “still in the castle” is further evidence of this.Serenity Smiles 15:56, October 15, 2014
Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Draco becomes the new Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team after his father, Lucius Malfoy, donates new, high-quality Nimbus 2001 broomsticks. When Hermione Granger comments that the Gryffindor players made the team through talent and not bribery, Draco responds by calling her a Mudblood. This provokes an immediate, violent response from Ron Weasley. Because of Draco’s contempt for Muggle-borns, Harry, Ron, and Hermione suspect that Draco is the Heir of Slytherin, who has recently reopened the Chamber of Secrets. Harry and Ron disguise themselves as Crabbe and Goyle with Polyjuice Potion and infiltrate the Slytherin common room in an attempt to collect additional information, whereupon they realise that their initial suspicion about Draco is incorrect.
Hermione Granger & Dolores Umbridge
Virgos are meticulous and logic-driven. They strive for perfection, holding everyone to high standards, and even higher standards for themselves. When they can’t reach these heights, they’re prone to anxiety and stress. Hermione’s studious nature is the perfect example of these Virgo qualities, as is her Bogart: failing her exams, or not being good enough.
Alternatively, Virgos can have a set view of how the world should be. They want the world to meet their values and ideals in their eyes that is perfection. Dolores Umbridge is the dark side of Virgo, showcasing prejudice and the need for total control.
Did Hermione Kiss Harry
The moment that all fans had been waiting for finally occurred during Deathly Hallows when Ron and Hermione shared a passionate kiss during the heat of the Battle of Hogwarts. The kiss that Ron and Hermione shared is certainly incredibly passionate, but she did technically kiss Harry before their big moment.

Draco Came To Hogwarts More Prepared Than Most
Harry Potter included the fateful convergence of Harry, Ron, and Hermione on their very first trip on the Hogwarts Express, but given the series viewpoint of Harry, it wasnt able to showcase the inverse: the students who already knew friends and classmates before they ever set foot on that train.
Draco already knew other young wizards well before he went to Hogwarts thanks to the many connections of his father Lucius. Having grown up after Voldemorts downfall, Lucius would hang with other former Death Eaters who bemoaned how Voldemort failed, some of whom had children Dracos age. Those meetings led Dracos friendships with Theodore Nott and Vincent Crabbe, who would become one of Dracos closestin proximity, at leastfriends and henchmen.
Gregory Goyle, however, became Dracos friend and henchman in the same way that the trio did: a chance meeting on the Hogwarts Express.
The Most Awkward Hug In Cinema
When Voldemort hugs Draco you could tell that even Tom Felton, Draco’s actor, felt a little awkward about it. Even though Draco idolized his father and the dark lord, if Voldemort walked up and gave young Draco a hug you can bet it would break him. Voldemort is physically and psychologically unsettling. It is no secret to what he wants and the lengths he will go to get what he wants. Even if it means wiping a crying little boy off the map after being scared of a hug.

Draco Malfoy: Trying To Impress His Father
Draco Malfoy does a lot of poor things throughout the movies, which makes him one of the main villains. However, everything he is doing is actually to try and impress his father, who he never really gets any affection from, with Draco trying to do things that he thinks he will like.
It’s very similar to what Harry is doing, except it’s visible due to Lucius still being alive. Harry spends his life wondering about his parents, wanting to learn more about them and hoping that they’d like what he’s done. But the fact viewers are able to see that nothing Draco does impresses his father and the way he reacts makes him a more interesting character.
Why Didnt Voldemort Check If Harry Was Dead
Voldemort wanted to believe Harry was dead, so he had no need to question Narcissa, because she said what he wanted to hear. Also he had no reason to suspect her of being disloyal. Secondly he was afraid that he had again failed to kill Harry, hence he did not check himself whether harry was dead or not.

Harry And Ginnys First Kiss
This snog was long overdue but this was in no way their best kiss, and I was really sad that they completely changed this from the way it happened in the book! I dont think the movies did this pairing justice, especially this scene. Dont get me wrong, I was happy it finally happened, but it was definitely lacking the passion and spontaneity described in the books.
How Draco Malfoy’s Mom Changed His Life Forever In Harry Potter
In the Harry Potter series, Draco Malfoy’s story turns out to be more complex, and even more sympathetic, than might be expected from his introduction in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone. When audiences first meet him , he instantly identifies himself as an elitist jerk trying to suck up to the wizarding world’s most famous young person although Harry only has a vague idea of what that means at the time.
Malfoy’s story is very different from that of the hero he’s a pureblood wizard with a boastful, bullying, petty, prejudiced personality. Unlike Harry, he comes from a wealthy and stable home but that privileged background certainly hasn’t made him a nice person. Among the major influences on his life, of course, have been his parents Lucius Malfoy, Voldemort’s henchman and Death Eater, and Narcissa Malfoy, sister of Bellatrix LeStrange. Their parental pride and love in their son is obvious from the get-go, creating a striking contrast to Harry’s life. Draco’s mother sends him sweets and letters and does all the things that loving moms do something Harry has not had in living memory, even though his mother, too, loved him enough to make huge sacrifices. And in the end, this ultimately affects the way the war ends: Narcissa’s love for her son ultimately trumps her loyalty to He Who Must Not Be Named. Love ends up being a major theme in Harry’s story and a formidable weapon in the fight against Dark wizards.
