Everyone would love to see Harry Potter work his magic again. ET Online reported that in 2016, when Radcliffe was asked if he would reprise his role, he responded, It would depend on the script. He revealed:
The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo, and look what happened there!
Several years later, in 2020, Republic World reported that Radcliffe felt the prequels are doing fine without him and other lead actors and is happy to keep it that way. He said that it didnt mean he would never return to the franchise, but that he was currently enjoying the flexibility of his career.
According to Hollywood Life, the 32-year-old actor recently revealed that if he was to appear in a Harry Potter reboot, he would prefer to play another cast member. Radcliffe explained, some of his favorite memories of filming involved the villainous characters of Sirius Black or Lupin, who he always thought were great.
Although a Harry Potter reboot is not currently in the works, fans can find relief in knowing Radcliffe is not opposed to participating in one should it ever happen.

J.K. Rowling is releasing the eighth book of her beloved series, called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts I & II, on July 31, 2016. The script book was written by Rowling and Jack Thorne and comes out nearly nine years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released. According to Pottermore, a two-part play based on the book will open in London this summer, directed by Tony award-winner John Tiffany.

The book, which was first announced last October on Pottermore, is described as the “next stage” of Harry, Ron and Hermione’s journey. The website also included a short synopsis of the story:

An HBO Max special titled Return to Hogwarts will be released on 1 January 2022, the network has said.
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will join American film-maker Chris Columbus to discuss the films and explore their creation in depth.
The excitement is palpable as they prepare to take their fans on a very special and personal journey, through the making of these incredible films.
It comes as Radcliffe told a BBC documentary, also marking 20 years since the first film, of his joy that many people watch the Harry Potter films when they are hungover.
The 32-year-old said: The time in most peoples lives when they discovered it meant that it has an incredibly important place in a lot peoples childhoods, and they still feel very protective over it.
One of my favourite fates that we could never have ever imagined for the Harry Potter films but that I have been told by several friends is that they are fantastic when people are hungover and feeling really crappy about themselves.
They will just watch back-to-back a few movies and it just takes them to a place of warmth and comfort.
That is so lovely to me. That is the real-world effect that a film can have on someones life. I think that is great.

Why Radcliffe Has Never Seen The Stage Production Of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
Despite Columbus thinking it would be fantastic for Radcliffe to star in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, he is not in the stage production. In fact, he has never seen the play.
In a WIRED Autocomplete Interview that has more than 3 million views on YouTube, Radcliffe said the content of the play is not the reason he has not seen the show.
The Lost in London star explained:
I imagine the crowd would lean towards big Harry Potter fans in a really significant way. So, I feel like being in there just might be, like, people might be watching me watch it, and that feels weird. Ive heard it is absolutely fantastic though, and everybody who goes has a wonderful time.

As it ends up, Chris Columbus who directed the first two Harry Potter movies before making way for other directors is thinking exactly along those lines. I would love to direct The Cursed Child, Columbus told Variety. Its a great play and the kids are actually the right age to play those roles. Its a small fantasy of mine.

COVID-19 delays mean production is still in its early stages, so its probably a little too soon to expect a full Fantastic Beasts 3 trailer. The first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them teaser debuted in December 2015, 11 months ahead of the movies release, but were not expecting to see anything quite so soon. It seems like such a sure bet, right? Get the stars of the original movie to come back for a new story thats already proven a hit on stage. There are some complications, though. For one thing, stage producers are generally hesitant to allow Hollywood to make movie versions of plays that are still packing in audiences, the fear being that if theres a screen adaptation out there people wont see it on stage. Thats why its taken Wicket nearly 20 years for Hollywood to finally get going on a Wicked movie.
The other tricky bit is that it could be hard to get Radcliffe, Grint and Watson to reprise their roles. They seem willing to entertain the possibility, but none appear chomping at the bit. And if they know their worth to Warner Bros., theyll ask a lot to board that train back to Hogwarts.
All that said, I think itll happen sooner or later. But if Warner Bros. wants to get the Golden Trio back at the perfect age, theyd be better to make it sooner.
