The most exciting feature the Quidditch brings to Hogwarts Mystery is allowing the players to finally experience this wizarding sport firsthand. As most of you are well aware, Quidditch is the most popular wizarding sport, and it is just as popular among wizarding folk as the football is among muggles. The Quidditch got its name from Queerditch Marsh, the place where the first recorded game was held. Ever since then, Quidditch has evolved and the details about its history, rules, and evolution can be found in a book called Quidditch Through the Ages, written by Kennilworthy Whisp.
In any case, Quidditch brings a lot of new things to Hogwarts Mystery, and without a doubt is something that the playerbase was asking for ever since the game got released. Now, it is finally possible to not just play Quidditch, but also experience a whole new story, filled with interesting characters, engaging storyline, and many hours of fun and entertainment.

When Colby Palmer started his freshman year at Virginia Commonwealth University, some students approached him in his dorm and asked whether he wanted to play quidditch.
Palmer had read all of the Harry Potter books and knew about the sport but said he felt reluctant to try it out.
My impressions of quidditch was just that its for nerds by nerds that they wouldnt be like people who I would find things in common with, Palmer says.
Despite his hesitations, Palmer did give it a try and found he loved it and the community. Now, hes heading into his senior year at VCU and is spending the summer playing for the Washington Admirals, one of 16 Major League Quidditch teams. The season starts this weekend.

The Snitch Is A Gamebreaker
As Oliver Wood tells Harry, “Get to that snitch before Malfoy or die trying.” That’s about all there is to strategy in quidditch because of the incredible weight the snitch holds in terms of points.
No matter how well chasers may be playing or how much the beaters knock opposing players from their brooms, 150 points will always be the main focus of any quidditch game, and that hurts the play overall.

Cheating Often Goes Unpunished
Some physical contact is allowed in Quidditch, but several moves constitute fouls, and both players and spectators are forbidden from hexing any participants. However, we witness several instances where the match proceeds despite violations. In The Sorcerer’s Stone, we see Harry jinxed , nearly falling off his broom as a result. Hagrid remarks it’s clearly dark magic, yet no one thinks to pause the game!
Sure, this wasn’t the fault of Harry’s Slytherin opponents, but if you were playing an official soccer match and your opponents had arrows shot at them by a passerby, I imagine someone would at least call a time-out. There’s also the matter of the tampered Bludger in Chamber of Secrets, Hermione’s jinxing of Cormac McLaggen in Half-Blood Prince , and Ron’s supposed use of banned luck-providing potion Felix Felicis .

The Seeker Is Too Important
Due to the unbalanced scoring system, the seeker thus becomes far more important than any member of their team. They are so important that, in fact, it would make more sense for beaters to simply play defense around a seeker rather than try and take out chaser members of the opposing team.
It’s okay for every position to play a different role, but not so much so that almost all the other players hardly matter, in the end, when it comes to winning or losing a match.

Starting September 5, players will be able to play Quidditch, the sport where you try to score goals against an opponent while flying on a broomstick. Hogwarts Mystery debuted in April 2018, sending fans to wizarding school where they could navigate a fresh storyline in the Harry Potter universe.
This kind of upgrade is a major deal for fans, and it might be just the thing to draw attention back to Hogwarts Mystery. The much-ballyhooed launch of Warner Bros. and Niantics new game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has taken the focus off this older game. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has been installed more than 53 million times and has grossed more than $145 million globally since launch, according to mobile measurement firm Sensor Tower.

In July 2020, Rowling signed an open letter published in Harper’s Magazine titled “A Letter on Justice and Open Debate“, with 150 other public figures, largely writers and academics. Some thought that Rowling was trying to specifically suppress criticism about her statements concerning transgender topics. After learning who also signed the letter, Jennifer Finney Boylan expressed regret over her support, and stated she would not have signed had she known who the other signatories were. Rowling then sarcastically tweeted that Boylan should incur public penance for the association with her.

How To Play Quidditch In Harry Potter
Based on this article’s title, you might think I despise the wizarding world’s Quidditch sport. Not at all I’m impressed by J.K. Rowling’s imagination and complexity of rules with her crafted broomstick battles. That said, Quidditch contains several glaring faults that would make it insufferable to both players and fans.
But first, a refresher on how the game works. Teams consist of seven players, each mounted on flying broomsticks. Three Chasers are assigned to throw the Quaffle ball through the opposing team’s three hoops , earning 10 points when successful. One Keeper defends these hoops.
