King’s Cross To Hogsmeade
The King’s Cross station is built on a site that previously held the Jaws attraction. The entrance to the station, which is a quarter-scale replica of London King’s Cross railway station, is located in the London area, close to Diagon Alley. Passengers enter the station building and have their admission ticket checked. They then enter a queue which takes them farther into the station building, under a split-flap departure board, and past London-related advertisements, several stacks of suitcases and a shop selling British brands of food and drink. After ascending a flight of stairs, passengers find themselves between signs for King’s Cross Platform 9 and Platform 10. They can see those ahead of them walking through the “wall” forming the entrance to Platform 9¾. This effect uses the Pepper’s ghost illusion. After continuing around several corners, guests arrive on Platform 9¾ to wait for the next train. After the Hogwarts Express has reversed into Platform 9¾ and the arriving passengers have disembarked, the next passengers enter one of the twenty-one compartments in the three passenger coaches.
Passengers then disembark from the train, walk down a ramp past the front of the Hogwarts Express and follow a path leading to Hogsmeade.

There are two types of express passes: the Universal Express Standard and the Universal Express Unlimited. The only negative part of the entire attraction is the lack of voices and likenesses from Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson . Unfortunately, Universal didnt do the very best of jobs in finding a suitable replacement for the latter and if you didnt expect Hermione to sound so different beforehand, it might take you out of the experience.
Also, be sure to have your ticket or annual pass ready before heading to the queue, as fumbling for your admission at the last minute can really extend the wait time.

We call it a half-way simulation ride because you are moving when your ride the Hogwarts Express! The attraction acts as a tram on one track that uses cables to pull it back and forth from each of the stations. The scenes that are projected onto the outdoor window and your train car doors do simulate situations that are not happening.
It is a very smooth ride on the Hogwarts Express, and youll get to see things like The Malfoy Manor, The Forbidden Forest, the streets of London, and more! Just note that your ride will be different depending on what side you start on when you ride the Universal Studios Hogwarts Express 2022. On one of the journeys, you will encounter a dementor, which can be scary for little ones. Just note that it passes quickly, and most kids should be able to handle it just fine.

The Hogwarts Express is unique among the 3,500+ rides listed in our theme park guides, in that it actually acts as a transport system between two distinct parks, as well as being a ride experience in itself. The train recreates the journey that Harry Potter takes at the start and end of each year at Hogwarts, carrying guests from London to Hogsmeade and vice-versa. Or, in this case, from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida to the original Wizarding World in Islands of Adventure.
Its an impressive sight. The trains, which closely resemble those seen in the Harry Potter movies, billow steam as they travel from Kings Cross to Hogsmeade Station. Once on-board, youll be hard-pressed not to believe youre on the real thing, given the spectacular special effects employed by Universal to recreate the journey.

Make Sure You Get A Park
Universal Orlando operates three separate parks: Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and the Volcano Bay water park. Each park requires a ticket for admission.
The resort sells two basic types of one-day tickets for the two theme parks: single park admission and park-to-park admission. As its name implies, a single park pass grants admission to one of the two parks. Guests cannot leave one park and go to the other using a single park ticket. A park-to-park pass, however, allows park hopping between the two parks. You could add a single-day Volcano Bay ticket to the mix, but itd be crazy to expect that you could reasonably visit all three parks in one day and enjoy everything they offer.
Universal also makes multi-day passes available. Visitors can purchase from one- up to five-day passes. There are two kinds of multi-day passes: two-park passes include the two theme parks, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, and three-park passes that include the two theme parks plus the Volcano Bay water park.
Here is where a gets a bit tricky: The multi-day passes also come in one-park-per-day and park-to-park versions. A two-day, two-park, one-park-per-day pass, for example, would allow a ticket holder to enter Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios Florida on each of the two days, but not both parks on any one day. A park-to-park pass, however, would allow a ticket holder to go back and forth between both parks. Got it?

The Hogwarts Express is a first-of-its-kind ride that links multiple geographical locations in one themed experience. The train not only provides transportation from park to park but also presents two different stories for passengers to enjoy on their routes.
The Hogwarts Express travels from Kings Cross Station to Hogsmeade Station , as seen in the books and movies, and from Hogsmeade to Kings Cross. Thanks to video monitors that double as the locomotives windows, a number of Harry Potter characters make appearances, including the fabled trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione and a sneak attack by the chilling Dementors.
Buy An Interactive Wand Early In The Day
If you plan on purchasing a wand, do it as soon as you enter the park so that you can play with it the entire day. I hummed and hawed at the cost of the wands, and by the time I decided to buy one, it wasnt worth it because we were leaving soon.
When I say play, I genuinely mean PLAY. Keep your eye out for gold medallions on the ground, and with a flick of the wrist and a little incantation, you can interact with the displays and make magic! Many of the sections where you can practice your magical skills are highlighted on the map included in the interactive wand box. However, if you ask park staff, there may also be some additional secret spots to try your skills.
