The best way to start, is how are you planning to get to Orlando? If you are coming from a distance, the best way to get to Universal Studios, is by flying into Orlando International Airport. From there, you can take a cab, ride-share, or bus to your hotel.
We decided to catch a cab at the airport. It really wasnt too difficult. They even give you a flat-rate fare to all the park-owned resorts, so at least there were no surprises.
Universal hotels also offer a shuttle to and from the airport, but they are not included in your stay, and are actually more expensive than a cab.
If you are staying at a Universal Resort, they offer free transportation between the resorts and the parks. That means no worries about parking or traffic!
Can You Buy A Wand At Ollivanders
Yes, you can certainly purchase a wand at Ollivanders. You may buy a replica of one of your favorite film characters, or you may get your own wand. For the best experience, you may want to go to the Ollivanders at Diagon Alley but if you are nowhere near there or you arent going there, you can also find an Ollivanders at Hogsmeade.
You can also purchase wands at the shops and carts at the park front, or at Wands by Gregorovitch. However, to get the full experience, you might want to wait until you get to Ollivanders.
This is because aside from the fact that you get to buy your wand, you can also watch people get picked by a wand or maybe get picked yourself by one! Its up to you whether you buy the wand that chooses you or not, but whats definite is that youll not want to leave that wand there. The bond will likely be formed from the moment you get picked.

All the interactive spell spots will be marked with these, so you know where to stand when it comes time to cast your spell. Furthermore, these medallions will let you know which way to point your wand and what spell you need to cast. However, keep in mind that you dont have to say these spells perfectly in fact, since theyre all sensor-based, theyre not necessarily required, so saying them is completely up to you and your party. Silent spells are just as magical! Plus, theyre only reserved for the most talented wizards, after all.
The sensors at these locations are rather small, so its recommended that you limit your movement when casting a spell. Try to only use your wrist when you flick your wand.
If you need help casting a spell, most locations have an employee standing by to assist you with proper gestures. If a spell location isnt working, an anti-jinx sign will be placed in the window, or a team member may be standing by to let you know that spells at this location are down.

Its never mentioned how much Ron or Hermione or anyone else’s wand costs. Does anyone know how much an average wand would cost in the Wizarding World?

The Rest Is Labour And Planning
Ollivander is self employed, and has all the time he needs outside of running the shop to make as many wands as he wants. He doesn’t need to pay anyone by the hour, even himself. Even ignoring Rowling Maths for the number of students, so long as he keeps a large backlog of wands he should have one which will choose his current customer.
This would be very different if he had to make custom wands for people, then he has less control over when he makes the wands, and it may start eating into his shop time and be more time critical.
Even if each wand takes 2 hours to make, and he needs to make 100/year that’s 200 hours of labour give or take. About 5 weeks of work, which can be done during term time. The time taken to make a want would need to be 10x larger for it approach an unmanageable amount of time.
All of this ignores any subsidies from the government or hogwarts. And even a meagre subsistence may be enough to satisfy Ollivander, who hardly lives a life of luxury.

Look For The Secret Interactive Wand Spell Locations
The secret spell locations are different from the regular spots, in that there is no medallion on the floor to show you where they are. There is also not a specific spell or movement needed to make the magic happen.
We were able to locate all three of the secret spells, by asking some helpful witches and wizards we found at the regular spell-casting spots. Of course, our kids were more than eager to share the information with other kids they met along the way!

Just like power-hungry wizards, though, the Elder Wand is as fickle as they come. If you aren’t the most powerful wizard in the world, the wand wants nothing to do with you: It will immediately change allegiance to anyone who disarms its current owner. That makes it the most sought-after wand in the world.
Once wielded by Dumbledore and Grindelwald two of the most powerful wizards of modern times Harry knows to be wary of the wand. In the books, once Harry uses it to pit Voldemort’s own spell against him, he buries it with Dumbledore so that it will cease to have a master when Harry dies of natural causes. Let’s just hope no one disarms him , or the power will transfer. Harry snaps it in half in the movies, which may not be enough to break the wand’s insidious influence.
