Harry Potter: Tournament Of Houses
Premiering on TBS and Cartoon Network on 28 November 2021, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses is a four-part quiz show celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter film series. This game show is designed to test contestants knowledge and skills when it comes to the finer details of the Wizarding World, wherein the participants are divided into the four major Hogwarts houses into groups of three. Hosted by Helen Mirren, the show will also include special guests, along with self-confessed Harry Potter fans and members of the original cast, such as Shirley Henderson, Tom Felton, Pete Davidson, and Jay Leno.
Apart from being an exciting limited event for long-time fans who will be able to test their own knowledge about the Wizarding World, Tournament of Houses will also be offering a $1000 shopping spree to the winning team at the Harry Potter New York Store. Moreover, the winners will also be winning exclusive tickets to the New York Lyric Theatre production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, along with advanced screenings for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Opinion: Harry Potter’s Magic Fades When His Creator Tweets
Director Christopher Columbus, who directed the first two Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and other actors from the eight films will gather for a journey back to Hogwarts to discuss the making of Harry Potter and the impact of the franchise, according to HBO Max. It will be the first time they’ve reunited for such a project since the final film premiered in 2011, the streaming service said.
However, while Rowling will be featured in archived footage, she will not be appearing for the special, a source close to the production confirmed to NPR. They did not comment on why Rowling will not appear or whether she was asked to participate and declined.

At long last, HBO Max has released the much-anticipated preview of Harry Potter20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, its upcoming special that will reunite the actors and filmmakers from the eight-movie series, which will stream on January 1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which kicked off the film arm of the Wizarding World, was released in November 2001 and the special will commemorate the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, which will reunite actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, was taped at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. It will feature talent from the movies, including Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch. Filmmakers David Heyman, Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates will also make appearances.
The trailer features the cast reminiscing about the movies, as well as festivities in the Great Hall. Watson says, “It feels like no time has passed and loads of time has passed.” Radcliffe says that something that had scared him was “the implication that the most meaningful thing in our life was done,” and that seeing everyone is “joyous” because he realises “it wasn’t though.”

Most importantly, this film will also be delving deeper into the ancestry of Credence Barebone, who is revealed to be Aurelius Dumbledore, Dumbledores long-lost brother at the end of the second installment. Also, it is only a matter of time before viewers find out if the many temporal inconsistencies created by the franchise will be finally resolved.

Jack Thornes two-part play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child premiered on 30 July 2016, at Palace Theatre, London. The Cursed Child is set nineteen years after the events of The Deathly Hallows and follows Harry, who is now Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at The Ministry of Magic. Whether The Cursed Child will actually be adapted into a movie has not been confirmed either by Warner Bros. or Rowling herself, there is no sure-shot way to know if the movie will be released, if ever. However, this adaptation is not entirely out of the question, as director Chris Columbus, director of Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone, wishes to bring back the original trio for this fantasy project. If this were to materialize, it would be yet another reason for those wishing for another installment in the Harry Potter franchise to rejoice, given the volume of content scheduled to be released.
