The eight movies have moved around a lot recently. From May to August 2020, the films were on HBO Max, only to move to Peacock. Teen wizard Harry Potter and his pals are flying over to Peacock, the new streaming service from NBCUniversal. The service said Wednesday that all eight Harry Potter movies will be available to stream in windows over the next six months starting later in 2020 and into 2021. Currently, the movies are available on HBO Max.

“The Harry Potter franchise is beloved by people of all ages and represents the caliber of quality entertainment customers can expect to find on Peacock,” Frances Manfredi, president of content acquisition and strategy for Peacock, said in a statement.

The films will begin streaming in October. According to Vulture, the Harry Potter flicks will show on Peacock for at least a month, with the movies then moving to NBC’s broadcast and cable networks, and then returning to Peacock in 2021.

Peacock launched on July 15 and features a tier of free movies and TV shows, plus additional shows, movies and originals for those willing to pay for a subscription.

Harry Potter On Peacock

NBC has a long-term contract with all eight Harry Potter films. The films should be available to stream on Peacock, NBCs on-demand streaming service. Unless theyve leased them out to a service like HBO Max or there is a Harry Potter marathon on USA or Syfy, all 8 Hary Potter films should be available to stream on the service. The service has a free plan and a premium plan for $4.99 per month. Both show ads, but the premium plan has more content. Occasionally the first movie will be available on the free tier. However, you will need to be a Peacock Premium subscriber to watch all 8 films.
