Nagini Is A Maledictus Not An Animagus
The Harry Potter franchise is full of beings and wizards who can change their form at will. Occasionally, Polyjuice Potion does the trick, turning the drinker into the shape of another. There are also Animagi, the most traditional shapeshifters. These individuals master sophisticated magic to change into the form of a single animal. The Marauders and Professor McGonagall are all Animagi.
When audiences learned that Nagini was once a human, many assumed that she was also an Animagus. Unfortunately, Nagini’s case is far less controllable. Nagini was a Maledictus. These beings suffer a blood curse which eventually forces them to turn into an animal permanently.

Harry Potter And The Half
Voldemort does not appear in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, although his presence and actions are felt: he once again declares war, and begins to rise to power once more. He murders Amelia Bones of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and begins to target members of the Order of the Phoenix, including Emmeline Vance.
Rowling uses several chapters as exposition to establish Voldemort’s backstory. In a series of flashbacks, using the pensieve as a plot device, she reveals that Voldemort was the son of the witch Merope Gaunt and a Muggle called Tom Riddle. Riddle abandoned Merope before their child’s birth, soon after which Merope died. After living in an orphanage, young Riddle met Dumbledore, who told him he was a wizard and arranged for him to attend Hogwarts. Riddle was outwardly a model student, but was in reality a psychopath who took sadistic pleasure in using his powers to harm and control people. He eventually murdered his father and grandparents as revenge for abandoning him. The book also discusses Riddle’s hatred of Muggles, his obsession with Horcruxes, and his desire to split his soul to achieve immortality. Rowling stated Voldemort’s conception under the influence of a love potion symbolises the coercive circumstances under which he was brought into the world.
When Voldemort And Nagini Met
At this point, little is factually known of Nagini’s past between the Fantastic Beasts series and her first appearance in The Goblet of Fire. Since the series still has three more films to release, more concrete answers are sure to come. For the time being, fans must speculate as to how the pair met and became so close.
The books mention that after his defeat in Godric’s Hollow and at the end of The Sorcerer’s Stone, Voldemort retreated to the forests of Albania. At this point, it is safe to assume that Nagini and Voldemort met after this. The astral form of the Dark Lord was said to have embodied animals during his time in the forests. Few creatures could bear the possession apart from snakes. Because of their intimate psychic relationship, Nagini and Voldemort most likely met during this time.

How Did Lily And James Potter Get Rich

Nagini Is Loyal To Voldemort Because He Can Speak With Snakes
As a Maledictus, there probably isn’t much time after the events in The Crimes of Grindelwald before Nagini falls to her blood curse, becoming a snake forever. The Crimes of Grindelwald ends with Nagini at Hogwarts, so it wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that she stays there and perhaps crosses paths with Tom Riddle when he’s a student at the school from 1938 to 1945. Voldemort’s ability to speak Parseltongue may then be the reason she befriends him, since being trapped in snake form would isolate her from communicating with other people. Perhaps she even helps him open the Chamber of Secrets and summon the basilisk.

Fantastic Beasts : Voldemort Snake Theory Officially Confirmed
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald star Claudia Kim officially reveals her character is the human form of Nagini, Voldemort’s snake.
It’s now been confirmed that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will reveal the secret history of Nagini, Voldemort’s trusty serpent. After more than a year of silence, South Korean actress Claudia Kim has finally disclosed the name of her character a circus performer named Nagini, whose story seems far more tragic than anyone had expected.
Warner Bros. previously revealed that Kim was playing a Maledictus witch, a sorceress whose blood was cursed and is destined to transform into a creature forever it’s similar to an Animagus, except without the idea of free will. It didn’t take long for fans to theorize that she could actually be playing Nagini, given J.K. Rowling has previously been unusually enigmatic about the giant snake’s history.
Kim has finally confirmed that all the theories have been correct. Speaking to EW, she’s revealed that her character is indeed Nagini. She’ll be introduced as a member of the Circus Arcanus, where she’ll show off her transformations for Muggle audiences who think she’s just a circus performer. As Kim notes, this will be Nagini as she’s never been seen before. “In this, shes a wonderful and vulnerable woman who wants to live. She wants to stay a human being and I think thats a wonderful contrast to the character.“
Nagini Is Voldemort’s Mother
This theory is out there, right? The Harry Potter series tells us that Voldemort is Tom Riddle Sr. and Merope Gaunt’s son, but let’s humor this mind-boggling Reddit theory from user soupycutie. The Crimes of Grindelwald takes place in 1927, and Voldemort is born late in 1926. What if Nagini had given birth to Voldemort shortly before popping up in Paris to perform at the circus? It’s curious that Mrs. Cole, the woman who kept Tom Marvolo Riddle at her orphanage, wondered whether his mother had come from a circus. Additionally, Wormtail “milks” Nagini so that Voldemort could have her venom to become his creepy, snakey baby form in The Goblet of Fire. In any case, Merope might have had a connection with Nagini maybe they bonded over the former’s Parseltongue ability.
Author J.K. Rowling drops so many Easter eggs in The Crimes of Grindelwald script that I’m certain she’ll find a way to tie Nagini and Voldemort together in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Hopefully, Claudia Kim, the actress behind Nagini’s human form, will have a more nuanced role to play in movies to come.
Differences Between Book And Film
Nagini killing Snape in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Nagini was not protected by the magical orb, but instead by what appeared to be an invisible force field that deflected all spells cast at her. This allowed her to participate in the second stage of the battle, as opposed to dying before it began, where she attempted to strike Harry from the back while Voldemort duelled him from the front. Ultimately, she was fighting against Hermione and Ron, both of whom tried to stab her with a Basilisk fang, before Neville decapitated her. Upon her death, she vanished into black smoke, as opposed to simply dying and falling onto the ground in the novel. Why her body perished was not known, and she was the only Horcrux to disappear in such manner all the others did not disappear, but instead left behind fragmented pieces, except the Diadem when Ron kicked the remnants into the oncoming Fiendfyre. Also, Nagini was killed while Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort were duelling, when in the book, Neville Longbottom killed Nagini while Voldemort and his Death Eaters were standing outside the Entrance Hall. Furthermore, Voldemort’s and Snape’s final meeting occurs in the Boathouse in the film, as opposed to the Shrieking Shack in the novel, and thus Nagini murders Snape there instead of on her master’s orders.

Girl 5 Bitten On Face By Venomous Snake At Russian Petting Zoo
Spoiler alert: Its not Severus Snape.
Researchers in India who recently discovered a new species of green pit vipers have decided to name the reptile after the Harry Potter book series character Salazar Slytherin.
As JK Rowlings legend has it, Slytherin, along with Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff founded the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 990 A.D., and became namesakes to the four houses of Hogwarts.
Among his many magical talents, Slytherin was a noted Parselmouth, or one who speaks Parseltongue, the language of snakes. Researchers say this trait was the inspiration for the new snakes binomial name, the Trimeresurus salazar.
In their report, this month, they suggest the serpents common name be Salazars pit viper.
The Trimeresurus genus of snakes are known for their powerful venom, and found primarily throughout Southwest and Southern Asia. There are at least 48 known species of pit viper 15 of which can be found in India.
Zoologists say Salazars pit viper stands out for the orange to reddish stripe that runs down its scaly, chartreuse body, and its relatively high number of teeth.
