The book also discusses Riddle’s hatred of Muggles, his obsession with Horcruxes, and his desire to split his soul to achieve immortality. Rowling stated Voldemort’s conception under the influence of a love potion symbolises the coercive circumstances under which he was brought into the world.
When Voldemort And Nagini Met
At this point, little is factually known of Nagini’s past between the Fantastic Beasts series and her first appearance in The Goblet of Fire. Since the series still has three more films to release, more concrete answers are sure to come. For the time being, fans must speculate as to how the pair met and became so close.

It’s now been confirmed that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will reveal the secret history of Nagini, Voldemort’s trusty serpent. After more than a year of silence, South Korean actress Claudia Kim has finally disclosed the name of her character a circus performer named Nagini, whose story seems far more tragic than anyone had expected.
Warner Bros. previously revealed that Kim was playing a Maledictus witch, a sorceress whose blood was cursed and is destined to transform into a creature forever it’s similar to an Animagus, except without the idea of free will. It didn’t take long for fans to theorize that she could actually be playing Nagini, given J.K. Rowling has previously been unusually enigmatic about the giant snake’s history.

Kim has finally confirmed that all the theories have been correct. Speaking to EW, she’s revealed that her character is indeed Nagini. She’ll be introduced as a member of the Circus Arcanus, where she’ll show off her transformations for Muggle audiences who think she’s just a circus performer. As Kim notes, this will be Nagini as she’s never been seen before. “In this, shes a wonderful and vulnerable woman who wants to live. She wants to stay a human being and I think thats a wonderful contrast to the character.“

Author J.K. Rowling drops so many Easter eggs in The Crimes of Grindelwald script that I’m certain she’ll find a way to tie Nagini and Voldemort together in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Also, Nagini was killed while Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort were duelling, when in the book, Neville Longbottom killed Nagini while Voldemort and his Death Eaters were standing outside the Entrance Hall. Furthermore, Voldemort’s and Snape’s final meeting occurs in the Boathouse in the film, as opposed to the Shrieking Shack in the novel, and thus Nagini murders Snape there instead of on her master’s orders.

Researchers in India who recently discovered a new species of green pit vipers have decided to name the reptile after the Harry Potter book series character Salazar Slytherin.
As JK Rowlings legend has it, Slytherin, along with Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff founded the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 990 A.D., and became namesakes to the four houses of Hogwarts.
Among his many magical talents, Slytherin was a noted Parselmouth, or one who speaks Parseltongue, the language of snakes. Researchers say this trait was the inspiration for the new snakes binomial name, the Trimeresurus salazar.
In their report, this month, they suggest the serpents common name be Salazars pit viper.
The Trimeresurus genus of snakes are known for their powerful venom, and found primarily throughout Southwest and Southern Asia. There are at least 48 known species of pit viper 15 of which can be found in India.
Zoologists say Salazars pit viper stands out for the orange to reddish stripe that runs down its scaly, chartreuse body, and its relatively high number of teeth.
