Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a fantasy novel written by British author J.K. Rowling and the sixth and penultimate novel in the Harry Potter series. Set during Harry Potter‘s sixth year at Hogwarts, the novel explores the past of the boy wizard’s nemesis, Lord Voldemort, and Harry’s preparations for the final battle against Voldemort alongside his headmaster and mentor Albus Dumbledore.

The book was published in the United Kingdom by Bloomsbury and in the United States by Scholastic on 16 July 2005, as well as in several other countries. It sold nine million copies in the first 24 hours after its release, a record that was eventually broken by its sequel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There were many controversies before and after it was published, including the right to read copies delivered before the release date in Canada. Reception to the novel was generally positive, and it won several awards and honours, including the 2006 British Book of the Year award.

The film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released on 15 July 2009 by Warner Bros.

Richard Harris Aka Og Dumbledore Thought Fawkes Was Depicted By A Real Bird

During a portion of the reunion, which featured Daniel Radcliffe and director Chris Columbus , the two recalled filming certain scenes with Harris, aka the OG Dumbledore.

In their conversation, the two shared a laugh while describing filming the scenes that involved Harris and Fawkes, the phoenix that served as Dumbledores animal companion.

In the films, Fawkes is animatronic. But Harris, who was succeeded by Michael Gambon in the films after his death, didn’t know that, according to Columbus and Radcliffe.

“Richard came in and looked at the phoenix, and said ‘wow they train these animals marvelously these days,'” Columbus said.

“We never told him,” Radcliffe said.

“He just thought it was a real bird,” Columbus said.

Ticket For The Hogwarts Express

Harry Potter had a bit of trouble with the instructions on his ticket for the Hogwarts Express. Hagrid could have mentioned that the platform wasnt exactly going to be obvious! But really, everything Harry needed to know was right there on his ticket: take the train from platform nine and three-quarters at eleven oclock from Kings Cross Station. No witch or wizard should set off for Hogwarts without their ticket, so weve put this at the top of our list!

Snape Was Remembered As Headmaster:

Despite the conspicuous absence of Snapes portrait during Harrys final visit to Hogwarts headmasters office in The Deathly Hallows, Rowling has explained that Harry would make sure his sacrifice was not forgotten.

Snape had effectively abandoned his post before dying, so he had not merited inclusion in these august circles, she said during a web chat. However, I like to think that Harry would be instrumental in ensuring that Snapes portrait would appear there in due courseHarry would ensure that Snapes heroism was known.

He Came Face To Face With Voldemorts Daughter

When Delphi is first introduced in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, she is believed to be the niece of Amos Diggory. This is soon discovered to be a lie and it is revealed that Delphi is actually the daughter of Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange.

Delphi manipulates Albus and Scorpius into helping her steal a time-turner from Hermiones office at the Ministry of Magic and travel back in time to save Cedric Diggory.

Knowing that this could potentially change history, Delphi tries to follow a prophecy so that her father can return.

While her plan ultimately fails, it was still surprising to have Harry come face to face with Lord Voldemort and Bellatrixs offspring.

Harry Potter: 20 Things Harry Did After The Deathly Hallows

Most people know about Harry Potter, but not a lot of fans know what he did after the events depicted in The Deathly Hallows.

The last Harry Potterbook may have come out 11 years ago, but the magical universe continues to stay alive thanks to the incredible fan base that the series has.

The last Harry Potter movie in the main series came out in 2011, which tied up Harry Potters story. There is, of course, the ongoing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them films, but those take place many years before Harry Potter attends Hogwarts.

After Harry and his friends defeated Voldemort in The Deathly Hallows, readers and viewers were greeted to an epilogue that took place 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione have obviously aged since defeating Voldemort, but fans are introduced to the next generation of Hogwarts students since the trio had children of their own.

Both the book and movie series ended with their children getting onto the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 3/4. Fans were left wondering what was next for Harry Potter – or at least they were until Harry Potter and the Cursed Child made its debut on July 30, 2016 in the Palace Theatre in London.

This gave fans a brand new Harry Potter story and answered some of the questions that fans had for years. J.K. Rowling has also been incredibly open with fans answering any questions they may have about Harry Potters life after The Deathly Hallows.

He Refused To Save Cedric Diggory

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts | Official Trailer | HBO Max

It was clearly a traumatic experience for Harry when Voldemort took Cedric Diggorys life right in front of him.

Diggory may have been his competition in winning the Triwizard Tournament, but he was still a classmate and friend. Despite Harrys guilt over not being to save Cedric, Harry refused to go back in time to save Cedric when Amos Diggory asked him to.

Harry learned the danger of time travel from Hermione and he knew it could drastically damage the present if he changed the past.

Harrys son Albus didnt agree with his fathers decision, however, and decided to travel back in time with Draco Malfoys son – Scorpius – in order to save Cedric.

Ginny Professional Quidditch Player

Like many of the jobs in the magical wizarding world, there is no salary noted for Quidditch players, but given that they are a magical equivalent of footballers in the UK, there is space here for Ginny to have made a huge amount. Endorsements and appearances may also have upped this, in the same way that it does in the real world. However, assuming that Ginny wasn’t an athlete with millions of dollars in endorsements, what might she have earned? She would still be in the super-rich, most likely. According to Statista, average salary depends on team, but can range from 0.9 to 8.7 million dollars a year. If Ginny had even come in someone in the middle of that range, she would be earning around 5 Million a year – or 200,000 Galleons.

He Was Given Sirius Motorcycle

Not very many people are aware, but the motorbike that Hagrid drives in The Sorcerers Stone actually belongs to Sirius Black.

He borrowed it from Sirius in order to drive Harry to 4 Privet Drive. Years later, Hagrid drives Harry away from Privet Drive in The Order of the Phoenix in the same bike but is attacked by Death Eaters.

The bike is seemingly destroyed, but Mr. Weasley salvages the bike and eventually is able to repair it.

The books explain how much Sirius loved his motorbike so it only makes sense that it would eventually go to Harry, according to J.K Rowling.

Sirius was said to have a lot of fun with the motorbike, so hopefully Harry will be seen flying it in a future movie.

Ten Points To Hbo Max

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts premieres January 1 on HBO Max.

Harry Potter fans are in for a holiday season treat as a hefty franchise reunion special lands on our laps this New Years’ Day . Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is a warm blanket er, Invisibility Cloak of nostalgia that mixes cozy cast reunions and fond friendship memories with a film-by-film approach to the eight-movie saga. In its attempt to be everything, though, it may run a bit long for some casuals’ tastes, occasionally feeling more like supplemental Blu-ray material, but the time and care devoted to sentimentality and heartfelt reminiscence is always wonderfully on display.

“It doesn’t feel like we’ve earned a reunion,” Harry Potter star Rupert Grint smirks, while he and co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson sit and reminisce in the Gryffindor Common Room. And while Grint makes a good point, since the final Harry Potter film was only ten years ago, there’s also something to be said for not waiting too long for an official look back. So long that one finds themselves striking while the iron is lukewarm at best. Recent years have shown us that legacy material whether it’s reboots, sequels, or reunions can be hit or miss when it comes to finding an audience, even if what’s produced is something truly excellent.

He Disguised Himself As Voldemort

In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Voldemorts daughter Delphi tries to alter history to allow her father to reign once again.

Near the end of the play, Delphi takes Albus and Scorpius back to Godrics Hollow the night before Voldemort ends the lives of Lily and James Potter.

Albus and Scorpius think Delphi plans to end Harrys life before Voldemort fails to, but Harry and his friends believe that Delphi will try to persuade the Dark Lord from hurting Harry so that Voldemort can survive and spend time with her.

Because of this theory, Harry disguises himself as Voldemort and is able to distract and capture Delphi.

Delphi is then taken to Azkaban Prison to serve time for her crimes.

He Came To An Understanding With Draco

From the very beginning, Harry and Draco never really got along.

They fought throughout their six years at Hogwarts and nearly ended each others lives on multiple occasions.

While the two boys never got along at Hogwarts, they came to an understanding once they grew up and had children of their own.

Their sons become friends at Hogwarts and are sorted into Slytherin. When Draco realizes that his son has traveled back in time with Harrys son, he helps Harry by giving him a powerful Time-Turner which was a perfected version of the one Scorpius and Albus were in possession of.

Draco never would have helped Harry when Voldemort was around, but with the Dark Lord gone and his son in danger, Draco and Harry were able to be on speaking terms.

The Mortality Of Harry Potter

Harry Potter Fans Go Back to Hogwarts | Wizarding World

Although it might seem that Harry Potter cannot be killed and even the prophecy might suggest that if Voldemort died, Harry would become immortal, there is really no evidence to substantiate that. The Internet is full of different interpretations of the famous prophecy and youll certainly come across some good explanations on why Harry is immortal.

Still, neither the books nor Rowling herself has said anything to support this thesis. Certainly, Harry and Voldemort had to be killed one by the other, but it was never clearly said that the one who survives would gain immortality.

So, as we can deduce, Harry Potter is not immortal and he can and will die somewhere in the distant future and until we get some hard evidence to the contrary, we cannot state otherwise. It is fun to speculate, but thats just it it cannot go beyond speculations.

He Often Fought With His Son

Its almost a certainty that children are going to fight with their parents.

James and Harry likely would have had arguments if he had been able to raise Harry, but as everyone knows, Voldemort took James life when Harry was very young.

While Harry has two sons in The Cursed Child – Albus and James – Harry primarily fights with Albus since they often dont see eye to eye on certain situations.

Albus often defied his father, which usually caused conflicts with Harry.

At one point, Harry even told Albus that he wished that he wasnt his son.

While the father and son have their disagreements, as the book progresses, they begin to fix their relationship.

Can Fantastic Beasts 3s Return To Hogwarts Save Jk Rowlings Wizarding World

A new trailer reveals that Secrets of Dumbledore, the third Harry Potter prequel, is heading back to the wizarding school once again

They say never go back. But then they never had to cope with derisive reviews, tumbling box office receipts and the highly public fall from grace of an A-list star. In the ranks of movies based on the works of JK Rowling, Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald, released in 2018, was the Wizarding World equivalent of that time Neville Longbottom accidentally transplanted his own ears on to a cactus an episode so muddled and painful that the average Hogwarts student would need a magic spell just to understand what the hell was supposed to be going on and why any of us should care.

And so the sagas next instalment, The Secrets of Dumbledore, is probably best off harking back to the good old days, when Harry, Ron and Hermione only had to worry about Voldemorts next appearance rather than the potential cancellation of an entire movie series. Duly, the new trailer for the film arrived this week, and once again were heading back to the famous wizarding school. Crimes of Grindelwald also featured some scenes set at Hogwarts, but it looks like this time around the grand old place could play an even bigger part in the action. Theres even a clip of Michael Gambon as Professor Albus Dumbledore, just to remind everyone that this was a very successful movie series once.
