When Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone got the big-screen treatment in 2001 with director Chris Columbus, writer Steve Kloves, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, the story of the boy with the lightning-bolt scar got a second, more potent life by making all of the book’s fantastical magic, hidden worlds, and incredible creatures “real.” Sorcerer’s Stone grossed almost $1 billion worldwide and created a hunger for more Potter experiences, justifying successful adaptations , spinoff prequels about fantastic beasts, and potentially an original TV series.

Are The Harry Potter Movies Streaming
The Harry Potter films remain wildly popular, but due to a complex rights deal their streaming home is in constant fluctuation between WarnerMedias HBO Max and NBCUniversals Peacock. The eight films spent a majority of the year on Peacock, but they have been available on HBO Max since September 1. However, the franchise is set to switch services once again. The saga will return to Peacock on October 15. The two Fantastic Beasts films will not.
When they were available earlier this year, the first three films were available at the free tier of Peacock with ads. The last five films were only available to Peacock Premium subscribers. The paid service costs $4.99 per month or $9.99 per month for an ad-free version. It has not been yet revealed which films will appear on each tier in October.
Is The Harry Potter On Hbo Max
All 8 Harry Potter movies returned to HBO Max. In addition, the 20th Anniversary Reunion is also available on HBO Max. There are a lot of content from HBO Max for $14.99 a month, such a subscription is ad-free and it allows you to access all the titles in the library of HBO Max and recently, the streaming platform announced that there would be an ad-supported version that costs a lot less than that without advertisements making it accessible for all for the price of $9.99 per month.

Where To Watch The Harry Potter Movies Online In September 2021
As of September 1, 2021, the above movies will leave Peacock and will come back to HBO Max. That streaming service is owned by Warner Media, which also owns Harry Potter movie makers Warner Bros., so eventually the films are expected to become a permanent part of the HBO Max collection.
Why have these films moved around so much recently? Because of deals that existed before Warner decided to launch its own streaming service and was instead making money from its catalog by licencing its content out to others.
In this case, HBO Max had a deal with NBCUniversal in 2016 that gave the studio TV and digital rights for the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies from 2018 to 2025 a deal that Variety estimated was worth around $250 million. This was an expansion of a previous deal that allowed NBCUniversal to bring the Wizarding World to Universal Studio theme parks.
This deal meant that NBCUniversal was able to show the films on its channels , as well as its digital platforms.
This was, however, before either NBCUniversal or Warner announced their plans to launch streamers of their own, which complicated the deal somewhat. This is why the films keep jumping from streamer to streamer Warner keeps negotiating with NBC to create what Variety called “carve out on streaming rights.” Basically, Peacock has the streaming rights for Harry Potter, but keep making deals that allow HBO Max to stream the movies for set times.

Rowling turned the series darker as her three protagonists began to grow up and confront the disturbing evils within the Wizarding World. Harrys third year at Hogwarts is both more dangerous and more personal, as he must elude the escaped prisoner Sirius Black , who has threatened to kill him, while endeavoring to discover the truth about his deceased parents.
To tackle the movies darker tone, and to bring a fresh aesthetic to the franchise after the repetitive Chamber of Secrets, the producers turned to Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón, who had made several acclaimed movies, including a critically heralded version of another classic childrens novel set in in a boarding school, A Little Princess . Critics and audiences responded to the dark beauty of Cuaróns vision for the material and ThePrisoner of Azkaban stands as one of the best-loved films of the series. The movie is also notable for having Michael Gambon take over in the role of Professor Albus Dumbledore after the death of Richard Harris, who played the character in the first two films.
