David Ryall Who Played Elphias Doge Died In 2014
BBC News reported that David Ryall’s death occurred on Christmas Day at age 79. The circumstances around his death were not given to the outlet. Director Mark Gatiss, known for his work on Sherlock and Doctor Who, tweeted his condolences. “The great David Ryall left us on Christmas Day. His Greatest Fear Was His Own Death
Boggarts are magical shape-shifters that transform into whatever a witch or wizard fears the most.
In a 2005 interview with the fan site Mugglenet, Rowling said that Voldemorts greatest fear is ignominious death, and if he ever encountered a boggart, he would probably see his own lifeless body.

The Process Of Recasting Dumbledore For The Harry Potter Franchise
Cuarón and the rest of the Harry Potter crew spent months trying to refill the role of Dumbledore for Prisoner of Azkaban – and beyond. A number of popular and established actors were considered for the role, including Christopher Lee, who was a top pick but couldn’t commit due to scheduling conflicts. Fellow Lord of the Rings star Ian McKellen was also considered but felt uncomfortable taking the role due to his rocky relationship with Harris. After Peter O’Toole’s age and health status became worrisome, the producers went with Michael Gambon as Harris’ official replacement as Dumbledore.
Gambon, another Irish-born actor, played Dumbledore for the remaining six films in the Harry Potter series. His portrayal became one of the actor’s best-known roles, but his version of the character was drastically different than his predecessor. This threw many viewers off at first, but his prominence and longevity in the franchise won fans over. The actor decided early on that he wouldn’t try to copy Harris’ performance and, instead, made Dumbledore his own. This could have been any child born at that time to parents who already fought Voldemort. But how did he find out about the prophecy? Severus Snape was still working for Voldemort during this time and was spying on Dumbledore. As Snape proceeded to report to Voldemort, he didnt even realize what he has started.
Like Voldemort, Harry was a half-blood, and his mother as well. Voldemort was keen on keeping the wizarding world free of half-bloods even if he was one himself. So killing James Potter wasnt really a part of his plan until it became necessary.

Why Was Dumbledores Death Such A Shock
The headmaster of Hogwarts had been established as one of the most powerful characters in the wizarding world. He had also acted as a mentor to Harry since the young wizards arrival at school. He had guided Harry into the world of magic and helped him uncover his family history as well as the truth behind the return of the dark wizard that Dumbledore insisted on calling by his actual name: Voldermort.
From the outset, we knew that Albus Dumbledore was more than just headmaster of Hogwarts. As the books progressed, we saw his plots and plans develop along with Harry and his friends. It was Dumbledore who assembled two generations of the Order of the Phoenix to combat the dark wizards Death Eaters.
In the build-up to Half-Blood Princes publication, there were rumors that one of the series main characters was going to die. While many correctly predicted Dumbledores demise, few expected events to unfold the way they did. But Rowlings tightly-plotted novels laid hints before and after Dumbledores death that proved it was unavoidable.

Richard Harris As Dumbledore
Although there are still plenty of Harry Potter fans who prefer Richard Harris’ depiction of the Hogwarts headmaster, the role was recast ahead of the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, after the two-time Oscar winner passed away in 2002 from Hodgkin’s disease. Harris had expected that he might not be able to carry the character, which he took to please his granddaughter, to its cinematic end. He told the press, “I’ll keep doing it as long as I enjoy it, my health holds out and they still want me, but the chances of all three of those factors remaining constant are pretty slim.”
The part would eventually go to Michael Gambon, who starred in all six of the films to follow, but he wasn’t the first major British star who was invited to don the heaping wig and decadent cloaks. Years after the fact, Sir Ian McKellen revealed that he, too, had a shot at becoming Albus Dumbledore but turned it down. He later explained on BBC’s HARDtalk, “When they called me up and said would I be interested in being in the Harry Potter films, they didn’t say in what part. I worked out what they were thinking, and I couldn’t take over the part from an actor who I’d known didn’t approve of me.” Harris was reportedly unimpressed with McKellen during his life, implying that he was a “passionless” actor. Even so, though, McKellen added that he sometimes saw himself in the posters of Gambon as Dumbledore.
Harry Potter And Half
In the second chapter of the book, The Half-blood Prince, Bellatrix and Narcissa had visited Snape about a difficult task given to Narcissas son. Narcissa had made swore to protect Draco, his son and help him complete the difficult task.
At the beginning of the terms feast at Hogwarts, Dumbledore made an announcement that Snape becoming the new defense against the Dark Arts professor. This means Snape had to stop preparing portions but Harry met some people and decided to enroll in a class where preparing portions were taught.
Harry later had a fight with Draco and cast a princes spell that was marked for enemies on Draco. The Devastating wound from the spell on Dracos chest and face forced Snape to rush to the scene and cure Draco. Voldemort assassinated Dumbledor by the end of this episode.

Richard Harris: He Feels Like A Real Teacher
In all fairness, it’s not that difficult to manipulate ten-year-olds. But Richard Harris’s version of Albus seemed like the kind of man who saw what was happening with his students, could sometimes foresee mistakes being made, but who would let those mistakes happen if it provided an opportunity to teach that student a valuable lesson.
Michael Gambon’s Dumbledore feels a little cooler and a little more like someone who kids would be able to relate to, but Harris’s ability to make his relationships in the film really feel like relationships between a teacher and a student is fantastic.
