Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Continues To Spread Its Magic Around The World And Will Be Opening In New Places
This year is set to be another exciting one for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child as the play prepares to open more productions around the world. In fact, previews of the show have just started up again in San Francisco at the Curran Theater!
The play will also be making waves in Asia for the first time, as the stage-play prepares to open in Tokyo, Japan! The play continues in the original two-part format in London and Hamburg. The movie will be coming out a bit earlier in the UK, arriving in theaters on April 8, 2022. And for those of you who prefer watching movies at home, the film is also set to arrive on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical premiere.

While JK Rowling and Warner Bros. have both denied that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child would ever be adapted for the big screen in the past, Kilar’s remarks rekindled old rumors. There are, however, a great many avenues a future Potter project could take, including a series about the Marauders or Harry’s career as an Auror. Adapting the play to the big screen would open the content to Potterheads who weren’t able to see the play, but taking into account that the play is shown in two parts because of its length, many argue that a movie version of Harry Potter in the Cursed Child wouldn’t really work and might it be better adapted in a TV show format.
