About: Emma Watson
Watson hasnt starred in as many films as Radcliffe did after Harry Potter, but shes been involved with several high-profile projects. She starred in the book-to-film adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Disneys live-action re-telling of Beauty and the Beast, and The Bling Ring.
Following starring in the Harry Potter series, the actress also attended Brown University. She took some time off over the years in order to make room for acting projects but eventually did graduate with an English literature degree in May of 2014.
In more recent years Emma Watson has devoted a lot of her time to activism and womens rights work. She became the UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador for HeForShe. She also began a feminist Goodreads book club titled Our Shared Shelf in 2016 to encourage the spread of feminist ideas. In 2019, she helped to set up Rights of Women, a legal hotline for people who have suffered sexual harassment at work.

Its been a long time since Branaghs first and last Harry Potter appearance in 2002s Chamber of Secrets. Since then hes had plenty of acting and directing work in films, as well as starting his own theatre company, the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company, where he would be actor and manager for five shows between October 2015 November 2016. His plethora of acting roles include My Week With Marilyn, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, and Dunkirk directing credits consisting of Cinderella, Murder on the Orient Express, and 2020s book-to-film adaptation of Artemis Fowl.
Viktor Krum Stanislav Ianevski
Hermiones first boyfriend was played by Stanislav Yanevski in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He filmed scenes with Emma Watson for Bill and Fleurs wedding in Deathly Hallows: Part 1, but this scene was cut from the film. After Potter, Yanevski has had a quiet career in the film and tv industry, but he is set to attend LeakyCon Orlando this summer.

Bonnie Wrights Ginny Weasley portrayal is definitely a source of debate within the Harry Potter fandom, but she has also kept busy post Potter. Shes starred in a few smaller movies, including a 2018 retelling of A Christmas Carol, but shes also moved behind the camera and has written, directed and produced a few shorts.

Special And Visual Effects
Visual effects took nine months to make, until 9 October 2002, when the film was finished.Industrial Light & Magic, Mill Film, The Moving Picture Company , Cinesite and Framestore CFC handled the approximately 950 visual effect shots in the film. Jim Mitchell and Nick Davis served as visual effects supervisors. They were in charge of creating the CG characters Dobby the House Elf, the Basilisk, and the Cornish pixies, among others. Chas Jarrett from MPC served as CG supervisor, overseeing the approach of any shot that contains CG in the film. With a crew of 70 people, the company produced 251 shots, 244 of which made it to the film, from September 2001 to October 2002.
The visual effects team worked alongside creature effects supervisor Nick Dudman, who devised Fawkes the Phoenix, the Mandrakes, Aragog the Acromantula, and the first 25 feet of the Basilisk. According to Dudman, “Aragog represented a significant challenge to the Creature department.” The giant spider stood 9 feet tall with an 18 feet foot leg span, each of which had to be controlled by a different team member. The whole creature weighed three quarters of a ton. It took over 15 people to operate the animatronic Aragog on set.
Hagrid’s Name Comes From Another Novel
Rowling has mentioned many times that she collects various unusual names, from people, from literature, from animals and places if she thinks that a word is interesting, it is probably going to show up in a story as a name. The names Hagrid and Dumbledore have been found in a couple of places before they appeared in Harry Potter, including in a novel by Thomas Hardy.
In The Mayor Of Casterbridge, Hardy’s novel first published in 1886, a single passage includes both words . In describing the character of Elizabeth, the passage reads: she no longer spoke of dumbledores but of humble bees that when she had not slept she did not quaintly tell the servants next morning that she had been hag-rid, but that she had suffered from indigestion. Another Thomas Hardy novel, The Return of the Native, also includes a word that reappears as the name of a Harry Potter character: Diggory.

Voldemort and his Death Eaters in the Forbidden Forest
As Hagrid was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, he disliked the Death Eaters and tried to thwart their plans most of the time. The Death Eaters whom Hagrid knew the most were Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy and his son Draco, clashing with Lucius before he was put in Azkaban, and had clashes with Draco while he taught Care of Magical Creatures.
Snape, on the other hand, defected from Voldemort, and Hagrid defended him whenever Harry, Ron and Hermione criticised him, except when he temporarily believed that Snape had betrayed Dumbledore at the Astronomy Tower.

These fake red-heads have been keeping active in the Harry Potter community since Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was released. History Of Voldemort And Harry Potter
Harry Potter is a young wizard, born on July 31, 1980, as the only son of James and Lily Potter. He is a Half-Blood, as his maternal family is of Muggle heritage. When he was a boy, a prophecy named him as the only person able to take down and kill Lord Voldemort during the First Wizarding War.
After finding that out, Lord Voldemort went to Godrics Hollow with the intent to kill Harry while he was still a child. He killed his parents, but the protection his mother gave Harry spared the childs life, as Voldemorts Killing Cure backfired and seemingly killed him, leaving the child with a thunder-shaped scar on his forehead.
The books follow Harrys education in Hogwarts and his growth, as he prepares for the final confrontation with the now-resurrected Lord Voldemort, who was never actually dead thanks to the Horcruxes he created.
After finishing his education, Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley, the younger sister of his best friend, Ron Weasley. In continuity, he currently works as the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with the Ministry of Magic, after previously having headed the Auror Office he is also a guest lecturer of Defence Against the Dark Arts in Hogwarts.
Why Did Remus Lupin Have To Die
This year, Rowling chose to explain why Remus Lupin had to die. Professor Lupin was a friend of Harry Potters parents while they attended Hogwarts, and became one of Harrys substitute parents. He was also a werewolf, having been bitten by the werewolf Greyback at a young age. He died during the Battle of Hogwarts.

Arthur Weasleys Flying Ford Anglia
Arthur Weasley owned a 1960 Ford Anglia 105E that he subsequently enchanted consequently, the vehicle can fly, become invisible, and carry the entire Weasley family in spite of its formerly non-enchanted interior dimensions , among other abilities. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the car is borrowed by Fred, George and Ron, who use it to rescue Harry from the Dursleys house. Ron and Harry later steal the car in order to return to Hogwarts after the gate to Platform 9¾ is sealed by Dobby. After they arrive at school, landing in the Whomping Willow, the car ejects Harry, Ron, and their luggage, then flees into the Forbidden Forest, ignoring Rons pleas for it to come back. Mr Weasley soon faces an inquiry at the Ministry of Magic, as seven Muggles saw the car flying across areas of Central London and the British countryside, and is forced to pay a large fine.
The 1962 Ford Anglia used in the film was acquired by Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, and is currently displayed in the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu. A total of 14 Ford Anglias were destroyed during the filming of the scene where the car crashes into the Whomping Willow.
A replica of the car in its feral state can be seen in the queue line for the Dragon Challenge roller coaster at the Universal Studios Islands of Adventure theme park. Occasionally it blinks its headlights and honks its horn when its motion detectors sense that guests are standing in front of it or walking by it.
Robbie Coltrane As Hagrid
Robbie Coltrane is the actor who played Hagrid in all 8 Harry Potter movies. As he unfortunately does not have magical giant genes, he measures only 6-feet 1-inch tall, a good 2 feet shorter than Hagrid appears. While Coltrane makes an amazing Hagrid , they had to come up with some clever ways to make him look much taller than he actually was.

Taking Command During An Emergency
While Harry was the happiest he had ever been in his first year at Hogwarts, he was also growing increasingly conscious of the fact that the giant castle he was living in carried many secrets of the sinister variety. More and more, Harry grew convinced that his potions master Professor Snape , was plotting to steal a hidden treasure from Hogwarts.
To add to his suspicions, a time came when a giant troll invaded the castle in the middle of a feast.The chilling information reached the main student body and the teachers when timid Professor Quirrell came running and screaming into the Great Hall and managed to choke out news of the troll being loose in the castle dungeons and then promptly fainted. Of course, the students started panicking as one. The thunder and lighting outside did not help as the entire student body started to turn into a mob.
That was when Dumbledore rose to his feet at the head of the teacher’s table. With a single stern command, the headmaster restored order to the Great Hall. He then calmly instructed the Prefects to shepherd the students back to their dormitories and for the teachers to follow him into the dungeons to take care of the troll. It says much for Dumbledore’s sheer presence and reputation as the most powerful wizard in the world that none of the teachers had any hesitation about following him into a confrontation with a giant, angry troll.
Lucius Malfoy Jason Isaacs
Since Lucius Malfoy made his cowardly exit from the Harry Potter series, Jason Isaacs has enjoyed many roles. Some braver than the blonde Death Eater, and some not. Isaacs has appeared in some movies, but hes largely found his homes on TV. Hes starred in Netflixs The OA and Star Trek: Discovery, and has lent his iconic voice to Star Wars Rebels and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Sounds Like A Job For Kids
Whoever watches the Harry Potter saga can quickly realize that there is something very wrong with the punishment system in Hogwarts. From answering fan mail of Gilderoy Lockhart to writing sentences with your own blood, there seems to be no standard to what students will have to do when they infringe school rules.
The most surprising and dangerous one happens in the very first movie: Harry, Ron , Hermione , and Draco Malfoy are caught outside of their dormitories late at night. The punishment? Go into the Forbidden Forest in the middle of the night and investigate what creature is killing the unicorns in cold blood. Easy-breezy.

After her final appearance as Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Emma Thompson has had steady work in the film industry. Shes had plenty of acting roles like two Men in Black films, Beautiful Creatures , voice acting roles in Brave and Dolittle, as well as writing credits for Bridget Joness Baby and Last Christmas. She also starred in Beauty and the Beast with fellow Harry Potter actress Emma Watson.

After leaving Hogwarts, Umbridge quickly rose to influential positions in the British Ministry of Magic. She started her political career as an intern in the Improper Use of Magic Office. Before reaching age 30, she became the Head of the Office, evidence of her ruthless tactics under her sweet attitude, which also involved taking credit for other people’s work. This set up the beginning of her dubious career as a Ministry employee, one who tyrannised her subordinates while flattering her equals and her superiors.
Dolores, being very opportunistic and power-hungry, was ashamed of her father, who was a low-level worker in the Department of Magical Maintenance, while she was seeking a professional career. Under her pressure, he retired early and she promised him a small monthly allowance in exchange for quietly leaving the public sight. From that point on she lied about her family, claiming that she was a pure-blood rather than a half-blood. She eventually became Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic and had a place in the Wizengamot.

Flashback To October 1981
Towards the end of the Second Wizarding War in 1980, seer Sybill Trewlaney and Albus Dumbledore met at the Hogs Head for an interview. Trewlaney applied for the position of the Divination professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but Dumbledore was disappointed by the interview and was about to reject her application. However, as he was about to leave, Trewlaney entered a trance and provided him with a real prophecy:
The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives
She predicted that a boy that had the power to defeat Voldemort was born towards the end of July 1980 to parents who have defied Voldemort in three occasions. This boy would have a power Voldemort could not understand or ever have for himself. And if more than one person fulfilled these requirements, Voldemorts decision on who it was would ultimately determine who this Chosen One is. Voldemort chose Harry because both of them were half-blood while Neville was a pureblood.

But Gets A Lot From His Giant Mother
Although Hagrids character comes from his father, his size very obviously comes from his mother but thats not the only thing that he gets from Fridwulfa. There are a lot of negatives that come from being half-giant the wizarding world is quite prejudiced against giants and half-giants , and Hagrids heritage doesnt make his life easy. It also makes him too large to ride a broomstick, which is why he rides a magical motorbike.
However, there are some positives to having giant blood as well. Hagrid inherited giant-levels of strength and endurance , as well as a level of resistance to magic. This is especially useful when another wizard is attempting to curse Hagrid, as any curses effect will be significantly lessened on him.
