More Hogwarts Textbook Movies Based On Tales Of Beedle The Bard Or Quidditch Through The Ages

This may sound cynical, but Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them managed to find a five-movie series in a 128-page version of a fictional textbook. Whos to say that the enterprising minds of the Warner Bros. production department and J.K. Rowling cant find similarly lucrative series in her other two supplementary books? Daniel Radcliffe Thinks Harry Potter Will Get Another Reboot

I really hope they dont try remaking the Harry Potter ...

FINALLY some good news

Our love for Harry Potter will always be there, simmering under the surface, ready to burst out at any time. And thanks to Daniel Radcliffe’s new theory about a Hogwarts reboot, we’re on the cusp of whacking out our Gryffindor merch and having a movie marathon.

The actor, who hasn’t reprised the role of Harry Potter for almost 10 years since Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 2011 recently opened up toIGN about the potential for more movies to come out of the franchise.

He explained that JK Rowling’s wonderful wizarding world was just too good not to be explored even further, and that a remake was bound to happen. “Im sure there will be some other version of it.

“I know Im not the last Harry Potter Im gonna see in my lifetime weve already got a few more,” he commented of the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them franchise.

Speaking of his own Harry Potter franchise, which spanned eight films and a whole ten years, Daniel continued, “It will be interesting to see how long those films stay it feels like theres a sacredness around them at the moment, but thatll go, the shine will wear off at some point

“Itll be interesting if they reboot them and just do the films again or do a series. Im fascinated to watch.”

Considering Netflix have announced they’re remaking a lot of Roahl Dahl classics, could Harry Potter be next on the list?

Albus Dumbledore Was First Played By Richard Harris

Richard Harris played Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts’ Headmaster, in “Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Chamber of Secrets.”

At the time, Harris was a well-established actor best known for roles in films like “Camelot” , “Juggernaut” , “Gulliver’s Travels” , “Unforgiven” , and “Gladiator” .

He also appeared in “The Pearl” and “The Count of Monte Cristo” in between the first two “Harry Potter” films.

The Last Dance Meets Spinal Tap About A Quidditch Teams Season

There are two things you need to know about me as a human being: I love mockumentaries and I love Quidditch. Imagine if there was a Last Dance documentary that follows the worst Quidditch team in the league as they try to qualify for the championship finals. In a perfect world, the show is written by Taika Waititi, backed by the writing staff on FXs incredible What We do in the Shadows. I want to watch a bunch of fictional blubbering idiots who somehow managed to find their way into the English Premiere League of sports in the Wizarding universe for an entire season.

New Harry Potter Movie Reportedly Set 20 Years Later Might Start A New Series

They might have run out of source material back in 2011, but Warner Bros. isnt letting the Harry Potter brand die. Since then, the studio have served up the prequel/spinoff Fantastic Beasts series, and while these movies have scratched Potterheads cravings for another trip to the Wizarding World, what we really want is more from the characters we know and love from the original films. And thats unsurprisingly something WB is now reportedly working on.

We Got This Covered is hearing that, once the FB movies are complete, the next cinematic Harry Potter project will be a sequel to the first eight movies that picks up the story 20 years later, with much of the original cast said to be returning. As youd expect, therell be some similarities with The Cursed Child stage play, but it wont be a straight-up adaptation, as we previously reported.

Rather, our sources the same ones who told us Ace Ventura 3 is in early development, which the studio has since confirmed, and that , we we also know to be true have given us an update on the project and are saying that certain story details will indeed be carried over, but there will also be several new elements to the plot. Apparently, the main thrust of the film will revolve around Voldemorts daughter attempting to resurrect her evil father.

The Appetite For All Things Harry Potter Is Insatiable

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (2015 Remake Movie Trailer)

Warner Bros. is planning a new Harry Potter movie based on the West End play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

According to the report, sources say that Warner Bros. executives want to complete a movie adaptation of the play as soon as 2020 and want the man who played Harry in eight Harry Potter movies already, Daniel Radcliffe, in the mix.

Warners is secretly working on getting the movie rights and a screenplay settled, and of course in their minds only one man should be Harry, a well-placed Hollywood source is quoted as saying in the NY Daily News.

However he has made it clear that his mind is certainly not focused on returning to the role anytime soon and that could be until he hits 40.

Radcliffe didnt rule out a return to his role as Harry when discussing it recently, but, as the source suggested, he doesnt seem to have any interest in doing so anytime soon.

“It is a tricky one,” he told The Sun recently.

“You never want to close a door on anything, especially something that has been so good to me.

“At the moment I am definitely not at a stage where I would feel comfortable going back to it, who knows in 10 and 20 years if I would feel differently about that. And I think I have still got a little while for me to be age appropriate for this Harry.”

Harry Potter and the Cursed Childs run at the West End is a further illustration of the popularity of Harry Potter around the world.

Tom Holland As Ron Weasley

Tom Holland is a special sort of character who we could see in the role of Ron Weasley. He is the newest Spider-Man, but we don’t believe this would tint his reputation as our new favorite ginger.

A quick dye of his hair and a wand in his hand would have us seeing sparks as we lay our eyes on the newest addition to the Harry Potter family. It might not be the expected choice, but a remake would rely on the unexpected to make it truly exceptional.

Maggie Smith Was Professor Mcgonagall

Maggie Smith portrayed Hogwarts’ transfiguration professor, Minerva McGonagall.

The English actress was known for her work in “Othello” , “Death on the Nile” , “Sister Act” , “The Secret Garden” , and “Richard III” .

While filming “Harry Potter,” Smith appeared alongside Gambon in “Gosford Park” . She also worked on films like “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood” , “Becoming Jane” , “Nanny McPhee Returns” , and “Gnomeo and Juliet” .

Toward the end of the series, Smith also began starring on the award-winning PBS series “Downton Abbey.”

Rachel Redford As Hermoine Granger

Rachel Redford is fairly new to the acting scene, with only a few roles in The Riot Club, The Christmas Kid, and Gap Year on her resume. It makes her perfect for the role as it will take someone new to the scene to portray Hermoine Granger in a new light.

Emma Watson played the role exceptionally well, but we believe that this actress has what it takes to make viewers believe she is the new and improved Hermoine Granger. She is British and her accent is on point to blend in with the way we would expect the characters to sound.

Jones Has Added Plenty Of Credits To His Filmography Both As A Voice And On

If the movie were to be remade, Daniel would no longer ...

Jones joined a number of other major film franchises after “Harry Potter.”

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he played the evil Hydra scientist Arnim Zola in “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” .

In “The Hunger Games” , “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” , and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” , Jones got to improvise and play off of Stanley Tucci in his role as Claudius Templesmith.

Jones also worked on horror and sci-fi films “Berberian Sound Studio” and “Morgan” , and family films “Muppets Most Wanted” and “Christopher Robin” .

Recently, Jones appeared in the Dee Rees-directed political thriller “The Last Thing He Wanted” , the sci-fi film “Archive” , the drama “Uncle Vanya” , and the sci-fi thriller “Infinite” .

The actor is also voicing a character on the Disney+ series “What If?”

He has a number of other projects in post-production, including “A Boy Called Christmas.”

Helena Bonham Carter Played Bellatrix Lestrange

Dark witch Bellatrix Lestrange was played by Helena Bonham Carter.

In between filming the “Harry Potter” movies, the actress took on other iconic roles, including Mrs. Lovett in “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” , the Red Queen in “Alice in Wonderland” , and Queen Elizabeth in “The King’s Speech” .

Albus Dumbledore Patrick Stewart

Harry Potter remake trailer

When the sad news of Richard Harriss death required a new actor be cast as Dumbledore, plenty of fans clamored for Sir Patrick Stewart. And why wouldnt they? Dumbledore is unfailingly polite, well-spoken, kind almost to a fault, and has an underlying mirth that makes him pretty dang delightful. Still, Albus had a difficult life that was full of tragedy and conflict. Being highly intelligent and capable ended up estranging him from some of the most important people in his life, and so he lived most of that life essentially alone.

Someone with the range and bravado of Patrick Stewart is perfect to capture the wonder that is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Many would argue that Michael Gambon never captured the Dumbledore of literature, and others go so far as to say he ruined the role for them. We wouldnt go quite that far, but Sir Pat Stew is surely our top choice for Headmaster.

How To Watch Harry Potter Movies In Order

Everyone came into the Wizarding World through the Harry Potter books and movies, which introduced us to a gifted 11-year-old, his friends Ron and Hermione, and their hallowed school of magic, Hogwarts. Watching the Harry Potter movies in order, seeing the story unfold chronologically in-universe, used to be as easy as finding the one where Daniel Radcliffe looks youngest and starting from there.

But the series has expanded now with the Fantastic Beasts movies, set some 70 years before The Sorcerers Stone. So to watch the Harry Potter movies in order, your journey now begins with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, set in 1926 and starring Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scarmander. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set in 1927. The third Fantastic Beasts intends to release July 2022, with two more movies to close out the Scarmander and Grindelwald saga.

Then the story of Harry himself begins, starting with Sorcerers Stone and concluding in the second-part of The Deathly Hallows, for eight Certified Fresh movies in a row. Theres also a Harry Potter series early in development for HBO Max. For now, see our guide below on how to watch all Harry Potter movies in order.

People Have Expected A Harry Potter Tv Series Remake For Some Time

Even when the original run of theatrical films was still being released, fans joked about how a TV series adaptation of Harry Potter would eventually right those supposed wrongs. If HBO Max were to announce a brand new series this very moment, not even Daniel Radcliffe himself would bat an eye in surprise, as this is a moment people have anticipated for some time now. Which just leaves either the shock of delight or the scorn of disapproval to be had by those attached to their memories of the franchise.

Nonso Anozie As Alastor Mad

Harry Potters Coming!

Nonso Anozie has been a recognizable face in major movies for many years, even if his name isn’t as famous as it should be. With roles in big-budget fantasy kids movies like Pan and Artemis Fowl in recent years, he’s also certainly going to be accustomed to the ins and outs of a huge production like any Harry Potter remake would be.

At a towering 6’6″, Anaozie has more than enough physical stature to play the intimidating “Mad-Eye” Moody, not to mention a booming voice when he wants to use it.

Hermione Granger Skai Jackson

When Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was cast for the stage, a certain segment of fans lost their mind over what they deemed an excess of melanin in the casting. This was months ago, and weve since learned that casting a Hermione of color is not the end of the world. In fact, its kind of awesome. The books describe Hermione as many things. Shes smart, but not the best at making new friends. She has muggle dentists for parents, and her hair is huge and frizzy. Beginning in 4th year, Hermione is conventionally attractive enough that she garners the attention of an international Quidditch star. Cool, right?

Young actress Skai Jackson came to the notice of many fans with a tiny role on HBOs Boardwalk Empire. She has since become Zuri Ross, who is an adorable character in the Disney live-action series Jessie. Jackson would make a fine Hermione because shes bright, cute, and strong– even as she has no qualms about dressing like a princess.
