Instead of outsourcing screenplay duties to Steve Kloves, who wrote the “Harry Potter” movies, Rowling wrote the screenplay for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” herself. It takes place 70 years earlier than “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” and concerns the adventures of Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” whose magical animals escape his enchanted briefcase while he’s on a trip in New York.
The Making Of Harry Potter
In March 2011, Warner Bros. announced plans to build a tourist attraction in the United Kingdom to showcase the Harry Potter film series. The Making of Harry Potter is a behind-the-scenes walking tour featuring authentic sets, costumes and props from the film series. The attraction is located at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, where all eight of the Harry Potter films were made. Warner Bros. constructed two new sound stages to house and showcase the famous sets from each of the British-made productions, following a £100;million investment. It opened to the public in March 2012.
In 1990 She Began Planning Out The Harry Potter Series
On a delayed train from Manchester to London’s King’s Cross station, Rowling came up with the idea for “Harry Potter.” Over the next five years, she outlined the plots for seven books in the series, writing in longhand and amassing scraps of notes written on different papers. Separately, she also;started working on an adult novel that she never finished.
The most traumatizing day of her life, Rowling said, was on New Year’s Day in 1991, when her mother died, when Rowling was 25.
“Dad called me at seven o’clock the next morning and I just knew what had happened before he spoke,” she told The Telegraph in a 2006 interview. “As I ran downstairs, I had that kind of white noise panic in my head but could not grasp the enormity of my mother having died. …;Barely a day goes by when I do not think of her. There would be so much to tell her, impossibly much.”

Book : Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
Something of a controversial choice for this high on the list I would argue, however, that the Order of the Phoenix deserves the bronze medal for best Harry Potter book. It is by far the darkest book, with Harry dealing with some very not child-book aimed demons.
Although it is the longest book in terms of pages, its isnt brimming with action, instead focusing more of its time on developing the characters into grown, individually minded young people.
It also has one of the most epic moments out of all the books that being the duel between Voldemort and Dumbledore. Its really the only time we ever see a high level, top tier Wizard duel in the entire series, so thats pretty cool. We couldve probably done without Harrys highly awkward relationship with Cho, but who hasnt had a cringeworthy relationship or two?

In 1997 my mother, an avid reader all of her life, was 83 years old. She had gone blind several years previously but continued to read via audio books.
I had never heard of Harry Potter but saw an elaborate display of the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone in our local book store. Since the audio book had so many discs I bought a copy thinking it would entertain my mother for a long time. This first book, and all the following books in the series entertained her for ten years. She died in 2012 at the age of 98.
Thank you J.K. Rowling for giving my mother an enchanting way to spend her final years.

Rowling Owes Her Success To An 8
Like many first-time authors, Rowling struggled to get her first book, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone published. The book was rejected by over a dozen publishers. Finally, a small British publisher, Bloomsbury, said yes. Bloomsbury saw the potential of the book because the chairman of the publishing house gave the first chapter to his then 8-year-old daughter, Alice, to read. Upon finishing, she immediately demanded the rest of the book. However, Bloomsbury was not convinced that it had a bestseller on its hands. Rowlings editor, Barry Cunningham, warned her that she needed to get a day job because it was impossible to make a living writing childrens books.

Rowling likes to write her first drafts in longhand, preferably in black ink. Sometimes she found herself inspired, but short on paper. So she wrote on anything she could find. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Draft is an official book that contains J. K. Rowlings original script for the film of the same name.
On September 1, 2016, Pottermore unveiled the final covers for the screenplays UK and US versions.
Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, the designers of MinaLima, designed the cover artwork and inner illustrations.
The book does not include Rowlings original version but has been edited to correspond with the films final theatrical cut.

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
While not part of the original seven-book series, Cursed Child and the accompanying stage play have become a generally accepted addition to the Harry Potter canon. This 336-page text picks up where the Deathly Hallows epilogue left off, with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Malfoy sending their unfortunately named kids off to Hogwarts Harrys son Albus and Malfoys son Scorpius serve as our protagonists this time around. Rowling Finally Signed A Deal With A Small Publisher That Made Her Pick A Pen Name
After a year, Little made a deal to print 500 copies of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” with Bloomsbury, a relatively young publishing company, and secured her a £2,500 advance.
The publisher anticipated that boys may not want to read books written by a woman, so it suggested she pick a pen name with two initials. The “J” stands for Joanne, her real name. She has no middle name, so she picked “K” for “Kathleen,” which was the name of her paternal grandmother.
“Philosopher’s Stone” appeared in print in 1997.

The Sword In The Stone
Rowling also cites the work of T. H. White, a grammar school teacher, and the author of the well-known children’s classic saga, The Once and Future King, which tells the story of King Arthur of Britain, from childhood to grave. Perhaps the best-known book from this saga is The Sword in the Stone which was made into an animated movie by Walt Disney. Arthur is a small scruffy-haired orphan, who meets the wizard Merlin who takes him to a castle to educate him.

She Finishes The Book Series In 2007
