The Life And Death Of Harry Potter
With all of the adventures and risk-taking peoples favorite wizarding hero does in the series, its not hard to see how he could die in some way.
Even as an infant, his life has been at risk at the hand of Voldemort and his followers.
After all, hes part of the prophecy involving their downfall so its easy to understand why they would want him dead.
While they seem to get close multiple times, the young Potter eventually grows into the old Potter.
Was Harry Potter Killed And Then Brought Back To Life
In the last movie, Harry was struck by the Avada Kedavra spell cast by Voldemort. Really, he should be dead. But obviously he was not dead because when Narcissa Malfoy asked about the life/death of her son, there was a pause hinting that Harry was talking to the woman. And knowing Malfoy is not dead, in return, the woman declared Harry was dead.
However, one should really be dead if struck by the Avada Kedavra spell. Does this indicate the work of the Resurrection Stone?

- 1Well I might as well continue the theme.. I hate how people who have only seen the film are under the impression they are knowledgeable enough to answer questions about anything other than the film and only the film. But in the end as long as they enjoy that’s what matters. Even if they’re wrong which if it’s only based on the film they probably are; and of course the books are always better though my brother makes a valid point: if he isn’t going to read the book then the book isn’t ‘better’ in a sense .
No, Harry dropped the Stone before his encounter with Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest.If he survived, it’s because :
Harry Potter clearly did die. This is clear from, for example, the discussion revealed in Snape’s memory between Snape and Dumbledore where it is explained to Snape that the only way to defeat Voldemort is for Potter to die.
Why Didnt Harry Die As A Baby
Having overheard a prophecy by Professor Trelawney which foretold that a boy born in July would become his ‘equal’, Voldemort arrives at Godrics Hollow specifically to kill Harry Potter. First, he performs the Killing Curse on James Potter.;But just as hes about to do the same to Harry, Lily steps in the way to protect her son and is killed by Voldemort. But that still leaves Harry vulnerable to a subsequent attack and while an attempt is made, it doesnt work, and instead, the Killing Curse backfires.;
Harry is left with a rather impressive souvenir – his infamous lightning bolt scar. Voldemort, on the other hand, is left without a body. Of course, we know that Voldemort leaves Harry with more than the lightning bolt, but well talk about that a bit later. So why doesnt Harry die from the Killing Curse? At the end of Sorcerers Stone, we learn from Dumbledore that Lily used a counter charm to protect Harry before Voldemort performed the Killing Curse on her, leaving her son with love-based protection.;

Harry Potters Death In The Movie
It turns out, Harry actually had to die to eventually defeat Voldemort in the end.
This is because he was made into a Horcrux when the dark wizard tried to murder him as an infant.
As long as he was alive, so was the dark wizard.
This leads the young Potter to willingly give himself up to Voldemort as a sacrifice to help end the war.
He ends up dying in the scene by the woods and meets with Albus Dumbledore in the next world.
Since the Resurrection Stone was in his possession during this time, he was able to come back and eventually put an end to Voldemort.
This is convenient as no one else seems brave or powerful enough to put a stop to the evil magician.
Otherwise, it would be a much darker world.
Why Did Dumbledore Give Harry The Resurrection Stone
Since we dont see Dumbledores full will, except for the parts read out loud to Harry, Hermione and Ron we will never truly know what Dumbledores intentions were. However, there are quite a few theories as to why he left Harry the Resurrection Stone.
The most popular theory comes from the other things he left to the trio. Many fans believed that since he left The Tales of Beedle the Bard to Hermione, Dumbledore was alluding to the Deathly Hallows.
Since the collection of books contain the story of the three brothers which deal with the three gifts Death gave to the brothers, many believe he wanted to point the trio to the Deathly Hallows.
After all, Dumbledore during his younger days was a known believer of the story. While most of the wizarding world believes the story was completely fictional, Dumbledore was convinced whoever holds all three of the gifts will become the Master of the Death.
However, there is a more fitting explanation. Since Dumbledore was aware of the fact that Harry will have to die, he left the stone to him so he can get some reassurance during his final moments before he confronted Voldemort and allowed him to kill him.

Why Did Harry Not Die In The Dark Forest
Once Voldemort announced he would spare everyone in Hogwarts if Harry came to him willingly and surrendered. Once Harry made it to Deatheaters camp Voldemort cast the Killing Curse, but turns out Harry didnt die.
The question has divided the fans ever since J. K. Rowling wrote the event into the books since there are so many different explanations as to why Harry didnt die.
Most people believe that Harry escaped the death because once Voldemorts Avada Kedavra hit him, the curse only killed his own part of the soul which was connected to Harry.
Another thing fans often point out is that Voldemort could not kill Harry since he was using the Elder Wand at the time and the true owner of the wand, ever since the events in the Malfoy manor was Harry.;
This seems like the most likely explanation since its pointed out in the books as well. The book series points out that while Voldemort could use the Elder Wand he could not cast a proper Avada Kedavra which in turn would not have its ordinary effect.
However, the conversation Harry has with Dumbledore reveals that his mothers protection saved him and he never truly died which is why he had the choice to go back to life.
History Of Voldemort And Harry Potter
Harry Potter is a young wizard, born on July 31, 1980, as the only son of James and Lily Potter. He is a Half-Blood, as his maternal family is of Muggle heritage. When he was a boy, a prophecy named him as the only person able to take down and kill Lord Voldemort during the First Wizarding War.
After finding that out, Lord Voldemort went to Godrics Hollow with the intent to kill Harry while he was still a child. He killed his parents, but the protection his mother gave Harry spared the childs life, as Voldemorts Killing Cure backfired and seemingly killed him, leaving the child with a thunder-shaped scar on his forehead.;
The books follow Harrys education in Hogwarts and his growth, as he prepares for the final confrontation with the now-resurrected Lord Voldemort, who was never actually dead thanks to the Horcruxes he created.;
After finishing his education, Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley, the younger sister of his best friend, Ron Weasley. In continuity, he currently works as the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with the Ministry of Magic, after previously having headed the Auror Office; he is also a guest lecturer of Defence Against the Dark Arts in Hogwarts.;

Yes Dumbledore Did Ask Snape To Kill Him So Draco Wouldnt
Dumbledore did indeed ask Snape to kill him, so that Draco wouldnt either succeed and maim his own soul, or more likely fail and be killed by the Dark Lord for his almost inevitable failure.
All the same, try. I am concerned less for myself than for accidental victims of whatever schemes might occur to the boy. Ultimately, of course, there is only one thing to be done if we are to save him from Lord Voldemorts wrath.
Snape raised his eyebrows and his tone was sardonic as he asked, Are you intending to let him kill you?
Certainly not. You must kill me. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Chapter 33
Dumbledore didnt want Draco to do it and harm his soul, but he also didnt want to die at the hands of someone who would prolong his death and make it more painful. He preferred that Snape kill him quickly, and since it was done as an act of mercy, Snapes soul would remain intact.
Its clear that Dumbledore did both ask and expect Snape to kill him, and this was always his plan.
After you have killed me, Severus
You refuse to tell me everything, yet you expect that small service of me! snarled Snape, and real anger flared in the thin face now. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Chapter 33
So yes, Dumbledore did indeed ask Snape to kill him to spare Draco the Dark Lords wrath or a maimed soul because of Dracos own attempts to kill Dumbledore.
How Did Albus Dumbledore Die
He died when Severus Snape used Avada Kedavra on him in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It turned out that Snape killed Dumbledore upon Dumbledores request. Dumbledore did not want Lord Voldemort to gain power of the Elder Wand, so he had a man that he trusted kill him so that Dumbledore would be the last true master of the wand.
Snape had been Dumbledores man ever since Voldemort threatened Lily Evans life. Snape then begged Dumbledore to help protect her. In return Snape was to suggest to Voldemort that he pretend to join the Order of the Phoenix as a spy, in reality he was spying on the Death Eaters for the Order and only passing on select information to Voldemort.He was killed by snape under the orders of both voldemort and dumbeldore himself. He then fell over a hundred. Feet off the highest tower at hogwarts.

At the beginning of the book, Dumbledore enrages Fudge when he stops by at Harrys hearing with a witness to ensure that he is not expelled. While Harry feels better when Dumbledore assists him, he becomes annoyed to the point of being angry that the headmaster refuses to speak to or even look at him.

Lily and James couldnt have learn it in the time they had so Dumbledore would have had to perform the charm; meaning he know.

Harry came back because Voldemort had used Harrys blood to regenerate. The protection that Lilys sacrifice provided to Harry got redoubled and now ran in both Harrys and Voldemorts veins. Thus, when Voldemort cast the killing curse on Harry, it didnt work properly. It only destroyed the horcrux inside Harry.

Who Dies In Harry Potter And The Cursed Child The Secret Is Out
Those who saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child before it was published were asked to keep the secrets. However, the script was finally released Sunday, so spoilers are officially out there. If you just cant wait to read the book, you can look below to find out who dies in the play.
Cursed Child actually has a very low body count. Unlike Deathly Hallows, there is no war, so that makes sense. Only one person dies: Craig Bowker Jr.
If youre wondering who that is, its a new character introduced in the play. He is in Albus Severus Potters year at Hogwarts, and its pretty easy to compare him to Cedric Diggory. Really, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a Potter feels responsible for his death.
Craig finds Albus and Scorpius Malfoy on the Quidditch pitch after the whole school is sent to look for the missing boys. However, theyre all in danger. Albus and Scorpius are with the evil Delphi, a witch trying to bring back Lord Voldemort. When Craig appears and says all of Hogwarts is looking for the boys, Delphi says, Avada Kedavra, and kills him.
The death is quick, but its going to leave an impact on Albus. He feels partially responsible and wants to avenge his friends murder. Unfortunately, since he has hardly any time on the page, Craigs death isnt quite as impactful for the audience.
Online Leaks And Early Delivery
In the week before its release, a number of texts purporting to be genuine leaks appeared in various forms. On 16 July, a set of photographs representing all 759 pages of the US edition was leaked and was fully transcribed prior to the official release date. The photographs later appeared on websites and peer-to-peer networks, leading Scholastic to seek a subpoena in order to identify one source. This represented the most serious security breach in the Harry Potter series’ history. Rowling and her lawyer confirmed that there were genuine online leaks. Reviews published in both The Baltimore Sun and The New York Times on 18 July 2007, corroborated many of the plot elements from this leak, and about one day prior to release, The New York Times confirmed that the main circulating leak was real.
