The universe of British author ‘s series of comprises two distinct societies: the Wizarding World and the world. In the novels, the Muggle world is the world inhabited by the non-magical majority, with which the Wizarding world exists coextensively, albeit mostly remaining hidden from the non-magical humans. The plot of the series is set in 1990s Britain, but in a veiled and separate shadow society wherein is commonly used and practised, and those who can use it live in self-enforced seclusion, hiding their abilities from the rest of the world. The term “Wizarding World” refers to the global community that lives hidden in parallel with the Muggle world the different terms refer to different communities within the same area rather than separate or worlds. Any new works taking place in this universe are released under the “J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World” brand.
What To Expect When Visiting Universal Studios Hollywood
Virtual Line Pass
During the Universal Studios Hollywood reopening, you can expect changes to the line system. The newest ride The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash may offer a Virtual Line at times through the Universal Studios Hollywood app, or you can collect a physical ticket from a subway ticket machine in theme with the surrounding city buildings. Even with the Virtual Line, you may still wait an hour to ride. You can still use Universal Express to skip the line. But then you’ll skip part of the toadally adorable and immersive queue.
Most of the time, you’ll encounter a standby queue. The virtual queue does not always kick in except on very busy days lately. You are more likely to encounter it in the afternoon.
When you join a Virtual Line, you input your party size, so you only need one spot in line. We were able to join the Virtual Line in the app and at the machine at the same time. They are not linked to your ticket. We liked having a physical ticket because when the ride broke down just as we were going to get in line, we could just bring it back later to get in.

Is Universal Planning To Open Wizarding World In Time For Spring Break 2016
Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood is expected to feature shops and restaurants made famous by the movie series as well as two attractions, the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey dark ride and the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster.

A pair of subtle but significant changes to how Universal Studios Hollywood issues annual passes may signal just when the movie theme park plans to open the highly anticipated Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2016.
In recent days, Universal has quietly announced that new and renewed annual passes will be good only through March 18, 2016, and that the most expensive passes will no longer offer a parking option – meaning annual passholders must pay to park every time they visit.
Up until now, Universal has kept the opening date of Wizarding World a closely guarded secret in order to avoid setting a deadline that cant be met and to build buzz among Potter fans.
Universal officials say they have not yet announced an official opening date for Wizarding World and note that the new season passes culminate at the close of its current 50th anniversary celebration.
Industry watchers have been waiting to see when Universal would drop its Buy a Day, Get a Year promotional offer in advance of Wizarding Worlds debut. With Easter 2016 falling on March 27, many theme park observers have circled the week of March 21-25 on their calendars for the grand opening of Wizarding World in California.

Laws Concerning Magical Creatures
In both the book and the film , laws governing magical creatures are often referenced. Like any laws, these are changed over time and vary from country to country.
There are three distinct definitions for all magical creatures given in the Fantastic Beasts book, which are Beasts, Beings and Spirits which were defined in 1811 by the British Minister for Magic. Beings are defined as any creature that has sufficient intelligence to understand the laws of the magical community and to bear part of the responsibility in shaping those laws.
Laws have been created surrounding the management of magical creatures, largely for the purposes of their protection, but also to protect wizards from dangerous creatures, govern ownership of certain creatures, and also to hide them from the Muggle world. In the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them film, the political climate of the wizarding community at the time saw a blanket ban on possessing all magical creatures.
Phase : Islands Of Adventure
Construction of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter began seven months after the official announcement, in January 2008. By July, the Flying Unicorn and Enchanted Oak Tavern were closed. The Flying Unicorn then began an almost two-year refurbishment which transformed it into the Flight of the Hippogriff. The Enchanted Oak Tavern was later demolished. A bridge was built to connect The Lost Continent with Jurassic Park allowing guests to avoid the construction zone that was to become the Wizarding World. Construction progressed with the Hogwarts Castle slowly taking shape. By September 2008, the Dueling Dragons entrance was moved to Jurassic Park to make room for construction of Hogsmeade. One month later, the old entrance was demolished. By September 2009, the top shell of Hogwarts Castle was completed. On September 15, an announcement was made detailing what was going to be included in the Wizarding World. In early 2010, Universal increased its marketing of the area, which included newspaper advertisements, billboards and television commercials. The Dueling Dragons were closed for some maintenance before being transformed into the Dragon Challenge. Construction was completed by June 1, 2010, when the area began soft openings.

Hogsmeade Station And The Hogwarts Express
The Hogsmeade Station is the terminal of the Hogwarts Express, which brings students to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from London Kings Cross Station Platform 9¾. This is actually the first thing that you will see when you enter Hogsmeade.
When in Hogsmeade, go get some Butterbeer!
There are two Butterbeer carts in Wizarding World of Harry Potter, one of which is located near the entrance of Hogsmeade. The ones they sell at the theme park are non-alcoholic drinks that come in hot and cold. It tasted like soda with caramel whipped cream. You can opt to buy it in a regular plastic cup, or in a collectible mug that you can take home with you!

Fred and George Weasley stole the map from Filchs office in their first year at Hogwarts. They had been taken to his office for letting off a Dungbomb and saw a drawer marked Confiscated and Highly Dangerous. George dropped another Dungbomb, while Fred stole the map from the drawer. They had to experiment with it in order to learn how to get it to work, but it gave them clues, flickering into life here and there when they came close to the activating phrase, until finally they got it exactly. Because of this map, the twins memorised the secret passageways of Hogwarts, which they used for quite a few of their many pranks.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

As with books four and six, the final Harry Potter novel begins away from the title character. There is a heightened sense of mystery in these lines. Who are these men? Theres a lot of controversy about thisthe last line of Harry Potterthe epilogue that ends the Harry Potter series. Some people and others find it cheesy. Rowling wanted to give this happy ending to her characters. While she originally had the series end with the word scar, she amended her plan to end with the words All was well. There is no more twist in the hopeful vision Rowling presents at the end of each book. No except or but or in spite of to go with the peaceful vision. And this isnt the perfectly normal thank you very much world of the Dursleys that the series begins with either. Harry feels fully integrated in the wizarding world. He no longer has to go back and forth or fear the looming fight with Lord Voldemort. He and Ron and Hermione survived their struggles and went onto lead apparently normal lives. Well, normal for a witch and two wizards.

Robes, wands, candy, mugs, shirts, and toys guests love Potter merchandise and buy it in droves. Universal enforces a hard policy on no bags on thrill rides and offers complementary lockers. While the lockers are complementary, they can still take time out of your touring, especially during busy times. Instead tell the Team Member to send your package to your on-site room or to pick up at the park entrance, or visit the Owlry in Diagon Alley to ship them back to your home.
Pro Tip: Make sure to purchase candy items late in the daythey will not sell out but they will melt in storage.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the hugely successful themed area within Universal Studios’ theme parks. It is, of course, inspired by the best-selling children’s book series by author J.K. Rowling, and the eight film adaptations produced by Warner Bros between 2001 and 2011, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.
The first Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in Orlando, Florida at Universal’s Islands of Adventure park in 2010, via the Orlando Sentinel. After extreme success, they expanded by building another area at their other Orlando park, Universal Studios Florida, which opened in 2014. Following closely behind, a version opened at Universal Studios Japan the same year, and at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016. Universal Studios Beijing is currently construction their own Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which, according to their website, is expected to open in 2021.

In 2001, Time Warner used this license to construct and operate the Harry Potter Movie Magic Experience at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, Australia. The attraction was a small indoor walkthrough featuring many re-creations of locations in the first two movies. After two years of operation this attraction was removed.

One of the best additions ever made to the Universal Studios theme parks was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando have areas dedicated to the Boy Who Lived. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an immersive experience so that once fans step foot into the land, they will feel like they have stepped into the movies and books.
Universal Orlando has two Harry Potter themed lands: Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade is located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida. The Hogwarts Express connects both of these Harry Potter themed lands- you will need a Park-to-Park ticket in order to ride though since it transports you between the two main theme parks at Universal Orlando.
Universal Studios Hollywood only has Hogsmeade but with a larger amount of shops to compensate for Hogsmeade being the main focus. Universal Studios Hollywood is a working studio and doesn’t have the same capacity as Orlando to expand. Despite that, the experience of Hogsmeade at Universal Studios Hollywood is just as amazing and immersive as its counterpart in Florida.

Universal Orlando Announce Details Of New ‘harry Potter’ Thrill Ride
Universal Orlando Resort announce new Harry Potter thrill ride, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike… Adventure, opening June 13th 2019.
Today Universal Orlando Resort announced the official opening date for a new Harry Potter thrill ride coming to the park this year as well as the long-anticipated name of the ride.
After plans for the coaster were reportedly leaked, Universal Orlando Resort confirmed today that at the core of the concept of the ride is Hogwarts’ Gamekeeper and Care of Magical Creatures Professor, Rubeus Hagrid. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventurepromises to be one of the most highly-themed coaster experiences across Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and will open on June 13th, 2019. The ride will replace the Dragon Challenge previously on the site at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure.

Previous Universal Harry Potter Attractions
A Harry Potter themed attraction at a Universal Studios park or a Disney park was rumored in 2003. However, the rights to the Harry Potter franchise had been acquired by Warner Bros., which denied all rumors. In January 2007, About.com reported a rumor from a “highly credible source” that the Islands of Adventure park’s Lost Continent area at Universal Orlando Resort was going to be re-themed “to the stories and characters of one of the most popular children’s franchises”. Other sources followed up in the next few days with unofficial confirmation that the new area would involve Harry Potter. On May 31, 2007, Universal, in partnership with Warner Bros., officially announced that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter would be added to Islands of Adventure.
After a 2+12-year construction period, the area officially opened to the public on June 18, 2010. This resulted in attendance at the park jumping approximately 50% in its first year of operation. On July 8, 2014, Universal opened an expansion to the Wizarding World at Universal Studios Florida, Diagon Alley, which was placed in the former Amity Island area of the park. This expansion also included the new ride experience: The Hogwarts Express, in which a train travels between the two Universal Florida Parks, from the Hogsmeade area to Kings Cross Station . A week later, on July 15, 2014, Universal opened The Wizarding World at Universal Studios Japan.
