Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a school for 11 to 17 or 18-year-olds living in Great Britain. Students went to Hogwarts to study and practice magic, and to hone their skills.
The school has a formaluniform that all students are required to wear, as well as optional clothing items, and accessories such as Prefect and Head Boy or Girl pins. The school divides the children into four separate houses according to the ability of each student.

The easiest way to distinguish a wizard from a muggle in the Harry Potter universe is their robesthat, or their misinterpreted muggle fashion. There are dress robes, Quidditch robes, school robes, and formal robes. The long fabric billows and protects, splays out and stays close, just as they would, being in the same family as cloaks and capes.

Professor Lupin sits in the same car as Harry, Ron, and Hermoine on the Hogwarts Express in his first appearance.
Though Lupin wears tattered clothing in the book to reflect his position as an outcast because he’s a werewolf, he’s dressed in professional-looking clothes in the movie.

By the epilogue scene of the final movie, Harry has grown up and has children who are going off to Hogwarts.

This properly fitted look contrasts greatly with the rumbled hand-me-downs Harry wore as his first outfit.

Were sure all Harry Potter die-hards think theyve noticed just about every detail imaginable in both the book and movie seriesor at least have tried to. As far as the films go, there are definitely new things to see with each fresh viewing, including seemingly minor details you might not have even thought were intentional. For example, did you ever notice that after Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the students at Hogwarts almost abandoned their robes entirely and began dressing like everyday Muggles? Well, that was on purpose.
In the first two films, wearing the Hogwarts uniform was considered very important and the kids were seen wearing their robes at nearly all times. But in 2004’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the students hardly ever wear their robes outside of the classroom. That’s because costume designer Jany Temime, who worked on the last six films, had a different vision for the kids when she was brought on to the project.
I thought that they should look normal, that they should look like normal kids, Temime toldInStyle in 2017. I wanted a real feel. I wanted to make Harry Potter not a little story that you read in bed but something real. Because at the end of the day, they are teenagers coming from dysfunctional families, all of them, and then living together in a boarding school and all those kids have special gifts.”

Her Yule Ball Gown Was Young Fun And Witchy
Hermione wore a pink chiffon gown to the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. One of her best looks, the floor-length gown had a tiered skirt that turned a deeper shade of pink with each layer. It was a youthful design with a touch of whimsy fitting for a magic ball. Hermione completed the look with her hair in an updo and a cascade of curls framing her face.
The Yule Ball was a turning point for Hermione. It was the first time anyone had seen her in dress robes and without her trademark frizzy hair. Not to mention it was at the Yule Ball that Ron first noticed she was a girl and not one of the boys.

Her Muggle Clothing Was Meant To Make Her More Relatable
One of Hermione’s best-known outfits is the pink hoodie she wore with jeans in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was part of a new set of Muggle clothing for Harry, Ron, and Hermione to make them seem more like relatable teenagers than characters from a fantasy world.

Cho Is Oddly Wearing A Hogwart’s Uniform In Her Final Scene

When the members of Dumbledore’s Army gather in the Room of Requirement before the Battle of Hogwarts, Cho is wearing a light-blue cardigan over a patterned dress.
But for some reason, she changes into her Hogwarts robes with her Ravenclaw tie for the battle even though everyone else is wearing their clothes from that previous scene.
This is especially odd since Cho is a year older than Harry and would’ve already finished her schooling at Hogwarts.
