What To Do When The War Is Over By Glisseo
Glisseos story is precisely what it sounds like: Lily and James are compiling a list of things they want to do when the First Wizarding War is over. They begin it before Harry is born, as Lily recounts her childhood trip to Wales. James isnt thrilled with the concept at first, but it gradually becomes a means for them to stay calm throughout the chaos of war.
They post the list on the refrigerator, and it continues to expand as they conceive of new things to do. This narrative emphasizes how young Lily and James are, and it concludes on a sad note.

Harry Potter Science Fiction And Fantasy Fan Art And The Future
The Harry Potter franchise came to its inevitable conclusion this weekend. Or, at least, formally it did so.
This past weekend is not necessarily the end of Harry Potter, if Rowling allows it. Its just the end of one tale in a universe where thousands of people are telling millions of new stories. Its going to happen anyway, and the smart artist will encourage and celebrate it, rather than fight it.

I Know Not And I Cannot Know Yet I Live And I Love By Billowsandsmoke
The unusual yet realistic friendship between Severus Snape and Luna Lovegood is explored by billows and smoke in this story. It recounts Lunas seven years at Hogwarts and how her quiet demeanor affects Snapes attitude toward her. As a potion student, he assists her, and she helps him with his thoughts about past regrets and the future.
Luna is probably the only character with whom fanfic like this could be written, and its well worth the read. Lunas persona is spot on here, and Snape is entertaining enough to read about.

But Not All The Effects In The Harry Potter Movies Were Computer Generated
Animatronics were made for the actors to interact with on set, including baby mandrakes, Hedwig, the Monster Book of Monsters, and Buckbeak, which was used on-set for close ups. He could stare at you, his eyes could follow you, he could bow, and every one of his feathers was dyed and put in by hand, Newquist told PopMech. There are tens of thousands of them, and they look absolutely gorgeous. Other creatures were built to give the animators reference for lighting, like the giant Jack-in-the-Box from Prisoner of Azkaban and house elf Kreacher.

Harry Potter And The Techniques Of Rationality
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Humor, Rational Fic
Harry Potter and the Techniques of Rationality by Less Incorrect is probably the most exceptional HP fan fiction part in life. It tells the story of a significantly different Harry: brought by his scientist stepfather and a loving aunt Petunia, the boy owns a brilliant, curious mind and a wholesome bit of skepticism.
That is why studying Hogwarts and the presence of magic is such a shock. Harry but does not break down but instead approaches magic with logic and the scientific method. This is fundamentally a story of him trying to find out just how magic works and wizards do ridiculous things.
HPMOR is so popular it has its site, fan art, and a massive following . In 122 chapters, along with a whopping 661k words, it is going to keep you busy for days.

According To Jk Rowling The Malfoy Family Once Hung Out With Rich Muggles
Until the imposition of the Statute of Secrecy in 1692, the Malfoy family was active within high-born Muggle circles, and it is said that their fervent opposition to the imposition of the Statute was due, in part, to the fact that they would have to withdraw from this enjoyable sphere of social life, Rowling wrote on Pottermore. In fact, one Malfoy might have had designs on the British Throne: There is ample evidence to suggest that the first Lucius Malfoy was an unsuccessful aspirant to the hand of Elizabeth I, and some wizarding historians allege that the Queens subsequent opposition to marriage was due to a jinx placed upon her by the thwarted Malfoy, Rowling writes. The Malfoys gave up their Muggle fraternizing when the Ministry of Magic, the new heart of power, was founded.

Science In The Wizarding World
Wizards and witches studied science, along with Muggles. Severus Snape, a former Potions Master at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry described the art of Potion-making as a subtle science to a first-yearPotions class on 2 September1991. Wizards also studied other sciences, such as Astronomy ,Herbology ,Magizoology and Meteorology .
Wizards also studied Muggle science. In 1993, a wizard in the Leaky Cauldron read a copy of A Brief History of Time written by the Muggle scientist Stephen Hawking. During the Calamity in the 21st century, Myra Curio recommended members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force read a scientific tome written by a famous Muggle physicist, which was apparently entirely false, but applying the opposite of his theories could help them improve their spell casting.
Some wizards were also known to be interested in Muggle technology out of curiosity, although they had no inherent use of them, such as television, wireless, and household appliances, along with the internet.
Harry Potter And The Last Horcrux
Genre: Action/Adventure, Drama, Romance, Tragedy
Harry and the previous Horcrux from Mike, aka Full Pensieve, are arguably among the most well written and very realistic HP fanfic Ive ever read. While I mention realistic, I mean it when it comes to a portrayal of this Second Wizarding War and how it impacts the Muggles.
This detail went to expanding the Harry Potter universe and the activities and emotions of these figures. Its still very much a dream story, and magic plays an essential part in it.
The narrative starts with much more adult and grown up characters making a final stand against Voldemort. The air is gloomy and sad but believable, unlike many other HP fics that try to become dim. Theres a certain equilibrium, and hope is not lost.
Harry and the previous Horcrux began back in 2006 and has been just recently finished. In case youve read this story before, you may remember both endings, one of which was unfinished. Luckily, the writer completely rewrote and completed the story, and now you can read the entire thing.

Is There Any Science Behind The Magic In Harry Potter
Hearing a friend recently mention Clarke’s Third Law and me thinking about how Portkeys seem to act like opening possible wormholes got me wondering about this.
Is there any scientific basis behind the magic in the Potterverse? For instance, does J.K. Rowling ever indicate that the Floo system is some kind of wormhole network or anything similar? Is it possible magic is using a technology that is not understood by Muggles?
Or has JKR ever stated specifically that magic in the Potterverse is explicitly not related to any form of science?

- 4Reopened. This question is not asking for real-world science explanations it’s asking for Word of God regarding fictional in-universe science, which is on-topic according to site policy.
Oh, I love this question!
I personally interpret Potterverse to possibly include scientific connections to magic.
A Time-turner, obviously, is related to time-travel, which I think touches on Einstein’s Theory of Relativity:
The Veil occupies the room where death is studied and has been in the Department of Mysteries since the beginning of the Ministry of Magic .
The ghosts and poltergeist Peeves would fall under paranormal study to some that is a true area of science

The First Ship: Star Trek
In her article on the history of fan fiction, Rachel Rosenberg calls 1960s television show Star Trek the OG fan fiction fandom. Within a show apparently bereft of engaging female characters, fans soon began exploring romance by pairing together its male protagonists Kirk and Spock in fanzines that is, fan-produced magazines, a crucial mode of dissemination in the pre-internet era.
This ship was verbalised as Kirk slash Spock, giving rise to the coinage of slash for gay fan fiction. Its considered by Henry Jenkins to potentially be the first slash pairing in whats already the earliest written fan fiction, giving it an influential position amongst the history of fan fictions greatest ships. The extreme popularity of Kirk/Spock can perhaps best be encapsulated by the fact that Gene Roddenberry himself on its existence in a 1979 interview, responding positively to the suggestion that Kirk/Spock might reflect elements of the relationship between Alexander and Hephaestion. For the creator to comment extensively on non-canonical ships is a relative rarity in fandoms, and reinforces Kirk/Spocks extreme popularity.

Harry Potter And The Summer Of Change
Genre: Action/Adventure, Drama, Romance
Fans of this Harry/Tonks pairing will certainly like Harry Potter And The Summer Of Change by Lord Dwar. Its a gritty and frequently grim tale of Harry growing more powerful and taking charge of his own life. I certainly loved Lord Dwars version of Harry, whos no more satisfied with getting by on luck alone and attempts to improve himself and learn from his errors.
On the flip side, I believed that Harrys personality changed too quickly when I read the narrative. He certainly does not grow to be a powerful, confident magician however, three months old remains an extremely brief time to become a grown up.
