As a teen I definitely developed a daddy issues crush on Lucius Malfoy thanks to this film. Hes the bad guy I know, but hes daddy as fuck. Fight me, I dont care! Thanks to Netflix for making him very accessible to me now, day or night.
Anyway in this film things get a bit fucked up when a monster that casually lives IN A SCHOOL starts attacking children who arent full-blooded wizards or witches. Ive always thought that the teachers werent quite as panicked by this as they should have been, but here we are.

I think a journalist once said it was irritating how many times during an interview I mentioned how lucky I was and started counting BUT I DAMN WELL KNEW!!! And still know.

The movies are getting darker and darker at this point. Voldemort is very much back on his bullshit here, but the fun part is how hormonal the teens are getting. Harry starts dating his best friends sister Ginny Weasley , Hermione gets a boner for Ron but Ron has a boner for another girl. Its all so FRAUGHT. Meanwhile, Harrys nemesis Draco Malfoy , who has been unhinged literally since he was 11 years old, goes even further off the deep end as he starts working for Voldemort, culminating in another horrific death that I dont want to talk about. Thanks a lot Netflix for making me live through it again.

Will Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint And Emma Watson Return For Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
It seems like such a sure bet, right? Get the stars of the original movie to come back for a new story thats already proven a hit on stage. There are some complications, though. For one thing, stage producers are generally hesitant to allow Hollywood to make movie versions of plays that are still packing in audiences, the fear being that if theres a screen adaptation out there people wont see it on stage. Thats why its taken Wicket nearly 20 years for Hollywood to finally get going on a Wicked movie.
The other tricky bit is that it could be hard to get Radcliffe, Grint and Watson to reprise their roles. They seem willing to entertain the possibility, but none appear chomping at the bit. And if they know their worth to Warner Bros., theyll ask a lot to board that train back to Hogwarts.
All that said, I think itll happen sooner or later. But if Warner Bros. wants to get the Golden Trio back at the perfect age, theyd be better to make it sooner.

She added: “I am proud not just of what we as group contributed as actors to the franchise but also as the children that became young adults that walked that path. I look at my fellow cast members now and I am just so proud of who everyone has become as people. I am proud we were kind to each other that we supported one another and that we held up something meaningful.”
He continued: “They will just watch back-to-back a few movies and it just takes them to a place of warmth and comfort.

The Harry Potter franchise and fans are celebrating Back to Hogwarts Day, the start of the celebration of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone debuting in theaters. The celebration began early Wednesday morning with a live-streamed event that can now be viewed in full below. More than 1.1 million fans worldwide tuned in to this event last year, and the 2021 event is expected to bring more attention given its the film franchise’s 20th anniversary. Several members of the original Harry Potter cast are officially set to reunite in a new HBO Max special in honor of the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Well before Fantastic Beasts turned into a film franchise and The Cursed Child dominated the stage, the Wizarding World was exclusively comprised of the story of one boy wizard. J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series first transferred to the big screen in 2001 and became the gold standard for what a book-to-movie adaptation should be. The blockbuster franchise released eight movies in total before coming to a close in 2011.
2021 is the 20th anniversary of the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Directed by Chris Columbus, the movie introduced then-unknown stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint to the world. After earning positive reviews, the first Harry Potter boosted itself to nearly $1 billion worldwide. Columbus has recently looked back on the movie through numerous interviews, and now it looks like he won’t be the only one taking a trip to the past.

Its hard to believe that its been 20 years since the first Harry Potter film graced the big screen. But two decades, eight films, two spinoff movies and a theater play later, the original stars are reuniting.
The magical trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are coming together for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts retrospective special on HBO Max.
But it looks like one VIP doesnt seem to be joining them: the creator of the Wizarding World herself and author of the famed Hogwarts universe, J.K. Rowling, who made about the trans community last year.
The Post reached out to Rowlings reps for comment.
Other stars set to join the three actors include director Chris Columbus, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Ian Hart.
The special will hit HBO Max on New Years Day 2022. The episode will also drop on TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022 ahead of the release of the franchises third spinoff, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
A one-minute teaser was released Tuesday, announcing the reunion and featuring highlight clips from across the eight films. The franchise began in 2001 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and ended a decade later with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts streams on HBO Max on January 1, 2022. While the press release claims that it will come out as “the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Day,” that’s easier said than done, what with time zones and all. While you wait for the special, you can watch all of the Harry Potter movies in order on both HBO Max and Peacock.
We’d bet the special will arrive at 3 a.m. ET, if history repeats itself. That’s when most non-HBO content arrives on HBO Max, such as the Friends reunion. That same day, the Harry Potter trivia show Hogwarts Tournament of Houses will debut on HBO Max.

Rowling also didnt tweet about the reunion on the day it was announced, and the next day on her official Instagram, she shared a headline about the HBO Max special but didnt say that she would be a part of it.

We kick off the list with a film with no appearance from Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set many years before Harry ever sets foot inside Hogwarts. Released in 2016, the first film in the Wizarding World series introduces us to Eddie Redmaynes absurdly likeable Newt Scamander, who travels to New York in pursuit of an escaped Niffler, but has dark forces to contend with along the way.
This was written by JK Rowling herself, who claims shes got an idea for a total of five movies.

In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, “2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series.” Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: “J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 January 2007.”
Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book was completed “in something like 1990”. In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character “got a reprieve” and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.
In September 2012, Rowling mentioned in an interview that she might go back to make a “director’s cut” of two of the existing Harry Potter books.
