Shell Cottage Harry Potter Filming Location
Featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2, Shell Cottage provides shelter to Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood and Griphook the Goblin after escaping from Malfoy Manor. The home of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour sat, among the sand dunes of Freshwater West in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
In May 2009, set production constructed Shell Cottage from scallop shells and other seashells found along the Welsh coast. Fans flocked to the mostly untouched remote beach of Freshwater West, located in Pembrokeshire along the Southwest Wales Coast.

Food At Freshwater West
Given its remote location, not a lot in the way of onsite food can be found at Freshwater West. There is a food truck in the parking lot called Cafe Môr that sells seafood sandwiches with the Welsh delicacy of Welsh Sea Black butter, burgers and ice cream. Outside of Cafe Môr, I would recommend bringing snacks, water or additional food to have a picnic on the beach.

Harry Potter Is A Slaveowner
If you thought that was bad, Im sorry it gets worse. In Chamber of Secrets, Harry shows little or no empathy for Dobby until he realizes the house elf belongs to the Malfoys. At that point, even Harrys successful attempt to free Dobby comes across as having been motivated by spite more than compassion.
Let us not forget the time Harry threatened to strangle Dobby, who was a slave at the time. We shouldnt forget it, but the characters sure do. Dobby, for example, later appears to serve Harry and other slaveowners like a Confederates ideal former slave. Remember that for later.
Harry certainly never shows any desire for systemic change, let alone the abolition of slavery. Despite his muggle upbringing, he only joins S.P.E.W so Hermione wont nag him. Remember that Harry Potter is supposed to be the hero. And hes not alone apart from Hermione, every character either owns slaves or aspires to own slaves.
And yes, that does include our hero Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry inherits a slave named Kreacher from his dead godfather. Let me say that again: Harry Potter is a slaveowner. Harry Potter owns a slave.

He Was Irrelevant In The Movie Adaptation
Another Redditor, chardogrande, opines that Dobby was entirely irrelevant in the movies. He only appears in a couple of films, in one of which, The Chamber Of Secrets, his behavior isnt exactly adorable. How Did Dobby Die
Over the years, Dobby had consistently been a friend to Harry in particular. His loyalty, given to Harry by choice, was with him ’til the very end. In the Second Wizarding War, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were fighting against the Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange. Harry took Dobby and the four of them tried to escape the battle to Shell Cottage. Before they could vanish in a cloud of smoke, Bellatrix threw a knife at them.
Unfortunately, before they could disappear, Bellatrix’s knife got Dobby in the chest and he later died on the beach in Harry’s arms. Before he died, Dobby talked about what a beautiful place they were in and how nice it was to be around friends. His last words were “Harry Potter.”
After he died, a funeral was held for Dobby at the garden of Shell Cottage. Harry dug a grave by hand where the group was joined by some of their classmates who also said their goodbyes.

Dobbys Death Was His Way Of Punishing Himself
Dobby was killed by Bellatrix Lestranges knife after he had disapparated from Malfoy Manor with Harry and his friends. He Was More Hateful Than Umbridge
User Brythonic-Moo goes to the extent of expressing his distaste for the character of Dobby by comparing him with Dolores Umbridge, who the user says, was at least meant to be an antagonist. Yet, Dobby, who is set up as someone who cares for Harry is shown to be constantly putting the Chosen One in potential physical danger. The user is quite categorical of their hate for the house elf across the board in the movies.
This is of course heavily against the grain since Umbridge is one of the most obnoxious antagonists in the series, for some, even worse than Voldemort himself. To state that Dobby was somehow more hateful than the sadistic former High Inquisitor at Hogwarts is certainly unpopular.

Tribute To Harry Potter Elf Dobby May Be Moved After Fans Leave Socks And Messages
National Trust is currently considering moving a memorial for Harry Potter character Dobby amid concerns for the locations infrastructure.
A grave marks the spot where the characters death was filmed, above Freshwater West beach in Pembrokeshire.
Along with makeshift headstones marking the beloved elfs resting place, socks have also been left as a tribute.
In the magical book and film series, elves are granted freedom only when given an item of clothing. Dobby was freed in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when he was accidentally given a sock by his master, Lucius Malfoy.
Now, National Trust, the organisation that manages the visitor hotspot, has published a survey asking for opinions on the future of the location.
Over the past few years we have seen an increase in visitors wanting to experience all that Freshwater West has to offer, including its beautiful beach, a statement reads.
We love welcoming people to the site, but the increase in numbers does mean its facilities and infrastructure are under even more pressure. We want visitors to have an enjoyable, safe experience while ensuring this special landscape is looked after for future generations.
A proposed option for the characters gravesite is relocate the memorial to a suitable publicly accessible location.
Some fans have taken issue with the prospect of the memorial being moved or taken down.

But, its too late and Dobby, with a smile, says his final words.
