Devon Murray & Alfred Enoch

If you shipped Seamus Finnegan and Dean Thomas during the Harry Potter franchise, it was quite glorious to see actor Devon Murray celebrating the fact that gay marriage became legal in Ireland in 2015, and posting a picture where he proposed to fellow actor Alfred Enoch validating the desire of lots of fans who saw them as a couple.

While Murray seems to be done with acting , Enoch has enjoyed major post-Harry Potter success with his role as Wes Gibbins, one of the protagonists of the ABC television series How To Get Away With Murder. Both actors matured and grown beards, but to be honest, they still look a lot like their younger selves.

Magical Abilities And Skills

Harry’s corporeal stag Patronus

Harry…. is becoming exceptionally good at Defence Against the Dark Arts. So that’s the one area in which, almost instinctively, he is particularly talented. Apart from Quidditch.
âJ. K. Rowling regarding Harry’s magical talents

Harry was seen and had proven himself to be an extremely powerful and talented wizard. His power was evident from the start: he demonstrated immediate command of a broomstick, was able to conjure a corporeal Patronus at an exceptionally young age , and even survived numerous encounters with Lord Voldemort. He mastered a wand made of hawthorn, which one should only ever consider placing in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent. Harry was also a very gifted flyer and Quidditch player, the youngest Seeker in a century.

Harry â he has an extraordinary instinct for the right thing to do. He’s just got the right instinct, and that’s what would make him, in due course, a phenomenal Auror.
âProfessor McGonagall complimenting Harry’s O.W.L. result
Impressive. A true Patronus at that age… very impressive indeed.

Harry Potter Cast: Where Are They Now?

‘Harry Potter’ made household names of Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. IMDB

With the TV special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts set to air on HBO Max on New Years Day, Potter fever has returned with a vengeance.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, the three stars who played Harry, Ron and Hermione, are all set to share their memories of the pop culture phenomenon, and so naturally interest has grown in what the actors are up to now.

While the franchise made household names of the three, other actors who appeared in the films have gone on to enjoy success in front of and behind the camera, including Alfred Enoch, who played Gryffindor Dean Thomas, and Ginny Weasley, played by actress Bonnie Wright, who is now a successful producer and director.

Most successful of all, however, was the actor who only starred in one film, Goblet of Fire. Robert Pattinson, who played murdered schoolboy Cedric Diggory, went on to star in the hugely successful Twilight films and will soon be on the big screen as the new Batman.

Many of the young stars of the biggest movie franchise in the world have gone on to do big things in stage, screen and family life

It’s been 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first film of the renowned Harry Potter film series based on the novels by J.K. Rowling, was released.

This coming January, much of the cast will reunite for a reunion show – airing on HBO Max in the US – to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that first film. Return to Hogwarts will stream from January 1, 2022 on HBO and it’s likely to air on Sky and NOW TV in the UK – date and channel is not yet confirmed, though.

The then-adolescent actors and actresses are now all grown up and while many of them have starred in a range of productions on stage and screen, some of the top stars have said they’ve found it tough to shake off the label of being a Harry Potter star in favour of more serious, adult roles.

Others have chosen to let acting take a back-seat in their lives, instead choosing to get involved in the television production side of things or taking time out to raise a family.

Here’s what happened to the child stars of Harry Potter since the movies were released – and where they are now:
