Lastly, early park entry is great, but there’s also something magical about visiting Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley after dark.
This won’t be possible every night , but be sure to check the opening hours of each park for every day of your trip to see if you can catch either of these parks after dark.

Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
In June 2010, Universal Orlando Resort opened their newest attraction The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
And the verdict? It does not disappoint. People of all ages are raving about the detail that the designers put into the area. Its being hailed as the best theme park addition in history! Harry Potter fans are coming in droves to enter this new attraction. On opening day, crowds gathered outside for hours in advance just to be among the first to experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in person.
You really feel like you are in the wand store where Harry and his special wand found each other. What an experience! Even though the crowds are usually dense and the lines are long, dont get discouraged. If you are a Harry Potter fan, or even a casual fan, this is worth the wait. Universal has done its best to make the waiting experience as entertaining as possible. There is really a lot to see while moving through the lines.

This one of a kind indoor rollercoaster is themed exactly like the Gringotts wizarding bank found in the books and movies. Opening in 2014 it quickly became one of the most popular attractions in Universal Studios. On the downside because it is so popular it tends to have one of the longest wait times in the parks.

Harry Potter World California Vs Florida 2022
Lets start with one of the most common questions we receive on the topic which is, is Harry Potter World in California the same as Florida? And in general while The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in California is smaller than Florida, and is missing some major rides and attractions. The most noticeably being one of the main attractions Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and also the entire Diagon Alley themed land. However California does have a similar Hogsmeade themed land, as well as the popular ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Get There Super Early
Youre on vacation. You dont want to set an alarm. Thats understandable. But if you want a couple of rides on Escape From Gringotts, beat the crowds and arrive early to enjoy shorter lines during the park’s morning hours.
If seeing the sunrise isnt your jam, theres always the Express Pass, which allows you to jump to the front of lines that would otherwise require an hour-plus wait on weekdays. While it undoubtedly improves the experience, the Express Pass does make for an even more expensive trip , so know that you can still get through both parks in a single day without it.
Phase : Islands Of Adventure
Construction of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter began seven months after the official announcement, in January 2008. By July, the Flying Unicorn and Enchanted Oak Tavern were closed. The Flying Unicorn then began an almost two-year refurbishment which transformed it into the Flight of the Hippogriff. The Enchanted Oak Tavern was later demolished. A bridge was built to connect The Lost Continent with Jurassic Park allowing guests to avoid the construction zone that was to become the Wizarding World. Construction progressed with the Hogwarts Castle slowly taking shape. By September 2008, the Dueling Dragons entrance was moved to Jurassic Park to make room for construction of Hogsmeade. One month later, the old entrance was demolished. By September 2009, the top shell of Hogwarts Castle was completed. On September 15, an announcement was made detailing what was going to be included in the Wizarding World. In early 2010, Universal increased its marketing of the area, which included newspaper advertisements, billboards and television commercials. The Dueling Dragons were closed for some maintenance before being transformed into the Dragon Challenge. Construction was completed by June 1, 2010, when the area began soft openings.

Christmas In The Wizarding World Live Entertainment
The yuletide season also hosts special holiday versions of both the Celestina Warbeck and Hogwarts Frog Choir shows.
Celestina Warbeck, the Singing Sorceress, serenades guests with the greatest hits from her chart-topping Christmas album, Nothin Like a Holiday Spell: the titular Nothing Like a Holiday Spell,A Witch and Wizards Wintry Wondrous Land,My Baby Gave Me a Hippogriff for Christmas, and Accio Christmas .
The Frog Choir, over in Hogsmeade, meanwhile, performs the traditional We Wish You a Merry Christmas along with the wizarding carols of Christmas at Hogwarts,The Most Magical Yule Ball of All, and I Cast a Spell on Father Christmas .

Go Early And Stay Late
If you cant stay at a Universal property or book a partner hotel vacation package, plan on getting to Universal Orlando early and staying late. Given the cozy nature of its shops and attractions, it doesnt take very many people for Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley to start to feel pretty packed. To beat the crowds, its best to go to the parks during the non-peak times, which are first thing in the morning and just before closing .
Its possible that, on a very busy day, both morning and evening will still be crowded, but these remain the optimal times on a day like this, midday would be very crowded, and the lands might even close for capacity.
Keep in mind that we strongly recommend to plan on going first thing in the morning and again late in the evening The Wizarding World of Harry Potter lights up at night, and its spectacular.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade opened in June 2010, and, from the very first day, it has delighted theme-park fans and astounded Harry Potter devotees. If our family had to pick our single favorite thing about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter I really have no doubt that the winner would be Butterbeer. You may have heard of this heavenly concoction but did you know it can be enjoyed in multiples ways? There is cold butterbeer, hot butterbeer, frozen butter, butterbeer ice cream, butterbeer potted cream and even butterbeer fudge! We love them all, though Id say if pressed to picked just one, Frozen Butterbeer is the best.
Youll find the shortest lines for libations at The Fountain or Fair Fortune and the Hopping Pot in Diagon Alley and at The Hogs Head in Hogsmeade. Butterbeer icecream can be found at Florean Fortescues. Butterbeer fudge can be found at Honeydukes and Sugarplums. The potted cream version can be found at the Leaky Cauldron. Also note that certain mug shapes for Butterbeer are unique to different locations.

Once youve seen everything on Diagon Alley, leave this part of The Wizarding World through the opening in the brick wall. Directly across youll see the Knight Bus. Here you can meet the conductor and the shrunken head that hangs at the front of the bus. Kids and adults love interacting with these two. Sit by the fountain to listen in.
Then, look across the way and youll see a replica of a London street. Upon closer inspection, youll see 12 Grimmauld Place, the home of Sirius Black . He gifted the property to the Order of the Phoenix, which used it as a headquarters. Look up toward the second floor and you may catch a glimpse of Kreacher, the Black family house-elf, peering at you from the window.

The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Ride
The Hogwarts Express: Visitors can ride Hogwarts Express as a method of transportation between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. It takes you from one park to the other, plus it recreates the train in such great and amazing detail. You do need a Park to park ticket.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: This ride takes you on a magical ride through Hogwarts as you fly through a Quiddich match, are chased by a dragon, and more.
Flight of the Hippogriff: A lower intensity roller coaster that is ideal for younger children. This is a thrilling ride for young magicians that will take you pretty high off the ground.
Harry Potter and Escape from Gringotts: Undoubtedly the jewel of Diagon Alley. The big fire-breathing dragon that sits atop of the Gringotts bank is a hard-to-miss landmark. Approximately every 15 minutes the Gringotts dragon roars and blows a fireball. Once inside, you see all of the goblins that work hard to keep the ledgers and balance accounts. This is an amazing experience you dont want to miss!
Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure: It is definitely worth the wait. Experience high-speed action while riding. This is truly a unique experience. You fly, fall, see beasts, and even do a little magic.

Dine Out Enjoy A Drink And Go Shopping
You cant truly say youve seen Hogsmeade until youve had a meal at the Three Broomsticks or grabbed a drink at the Hogs Head bar next door .
At Three Broomsticks, many families opt for The Great Feast, which includes a salad plus a combination of rotisserie smoked chicken, spareribs, corn on the cob and roast potatoes.
You can also buy British favorites like fish n chips, beef pasties, smoked turkey legs and shepherds pie, and there are soups and salads on the menu at both lunch and dinner. Kids ages 9 and younger pick from fish n chips, chicken fingers, chicken legs and mac n cheese each entree is $7.49.
Nonalcoholic Butterbeer is $7.99, while pumpkin juice and pumpkin fizz are $4.99. Two draught beers on tap are Hogs Head Brew and Dragon Scale .
Three Broomsticks also serves breakfast daily until 10:30 a.m.
