Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire Real

Walkthrough Harry Potter Studio Tour “London” (March 2022)

The activities of Goblet of Fire took place between 1994 and 1995. Filming took place between June 25th, 2004, and a date I cannot recall, but it was a very long film.

We can estimate that post-production took 6 months because that is how long the last one took, so shooting finished in May 2005. On November 6, 2005, it was finally released. This is the first movie in which we see the darker theme. After all, our characters are now in puberty and are showing angst.

The film is the first in the series to be rated PG-13 in the United States and 12A in the United Kingdom. The production began in early 2004. Leavesden Film Studios was used to film the Hogwarts scenes.

Five days after its debut, the film had earned more than US$102 million at the North American box office, making it the third-highest first-weekend haul for a Harry Potter film, behind only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2.

Goblet of Fire had an enormously profitable box office run, grossing $896 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of 2005 and the sixth-highest-grossing film in the Harry Potter franchise.

Harry Potter And The Half

This is the sixth movie and is also when the series takes a bit of a darker turn, but not too much as its still focused on as a childrens story.

It involves the mystery of the half-blood princes identity and morality.

Without spoiling any of the details, theres quite a lot of alchemy in this one.

In this installment, Harry is sixteen years old going on seventeen years old.

Just about all high school students are juniors at this age, looking to where theyll go next as far as college and career are concerned.

In England, some people actually go to university at this age.

The Quidditch World Cup

  • The Veela mascots are omitted from the film entirely, while Leprechauns as mascots was minimised heavily. Instead, the Irish National Quidditch team creates a glittering firework of a leprechaun, which is obliterated by the Bulgarian National Quidditch team flying through it.
  • The film only shows the teams entering the pitch and Fudge starting the match, with just a vague reference in the following scenes as to who “won” the match .
  • The Weasleys only stand in the normal areas and not in the Top Box, and appear to support both sides.
  • Narcissa Malfoy does not appear in the film.
  • The scene in which the Death Eaters attack the camp is slightly different:
  • In the film, the family is already awake and dancing around the tent, while in the book, they are all asleep until Arthur Weasley goes and wakes them up.
  • It was originally filmed with Arthur needing to go and wake people up.

Differences From The Book

With the Goblet of Fire novel almost twice the length of Prisoner of Azkaban, the writers and producers reduced certain scenes and concepts to make the transition from page to screen. Director Mike Newell described the problem as one of “compressing a huge book into the compass of a movie”. This was achieved by “putting aside” all the components of the novel which did not directly relate to Harry and his journey.

Goblet of Fire is the first film adaptation not to begin at Privet Drive after the opening sequence, Harry awakens at the Burrow on the morning of the Quidditch World Cup.

The gameplay at the Quidditch World Cup was removed for timing reasons, leaving an abrupt temporal jump which some reviewers considered awkward or “rushed”. In the book, Harry and many of the Weasleys support Ireland, while in the film Harry and Ron support Bulgaria. Nonetheless, both of them admire the Bulgarian seeker Viktor Krum.

During The Fourth Year

All the fourth-years had noticed a definite increase in the amount of work they were required to do this term.
The large workload given in the fourth year

A fourth-year Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson

Fourth-year students had to take Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy and Herbology. They also had to take at least two of Divination, Arithmancy, Study of Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies. Students could choose to drop an elective if it became a burden.

Fourth-years typically got more work than third-years, to prepare for their O.W.L.s.

Harry And Hermione In The Library

Harry are with Hermione in the Library the day before the first task. They are trying to figure out how Harry is to defeat the dragon. Hermione gets irritated at a group of girls spying on Krum and Harry overhears Draco reading the Rita Skeeter interview aloud to his friends. Hermione whacks one of her books at Harry unknowingly. She uses Accio to pick it up again and gets the idea that Harry could use this in the first task.

At the Welcome to the Magical School II Convention, Stanislav Janevski was interviewed by La Gazette Du Sorcier. They asked him about the photo of Viktor Krum lifting the golden egg.

GdS: A photo of Viktor Krum holding the golden egg of the First Task has been revealed, although this scene has never been incorporated into the films. What was it ?Stan never shot the entire scene of his fight against the Chinese Blaster. However, Mike Newell initially planned to show a shot of each of the victorious champions wielding the egg stolen from the dragon. It is from this moment of the shooting that the photo is taken: Stan just had to grab the egg. We can therefore imagine that such images also exist with Robert Pattinson and Clémence Poésy to illustrate the success of the other two champions.

You can read the article where they interview Katie Leung, Jason Isaacs and Stanislav Janevski here.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

As the second installment of the series, this is also our main protagonists second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

He made some friends in the previous installment and is just getting used to life in the magical world and its social order.

While it doesnt directly deal with the main antagonist, hes still involved through a deep secret in the school.

When this story took place, its the second year we learn about the main aspiring wizard, and hes of age twelve going on to thirteen years old.

This means that hes in 7th grade and is starting to become older as he learns more about who he is and what he can do.

The same can be said of his classmates.

Dont Miss: Who Played Lord Voldemort In The Movies

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

The much-anticipated ending for the saga was initially thought of as a single movie. However, the production ended up splitting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two parts.

The movies were shot simultaneously between February 2009 and June 2010.

The first part was released in November 2010 and covered the last book until Chapter 24, when Voldemort regains the Elder Wand.

While many fans criticized the decision, almost all actors supported cutting the movie into two parts to correctly present the ending arc without rushing its pace or leaving out essential scenes.

Names
Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley 18-19 years old 16-17 years old

Daniel Radcliffe was 20/21 years old when filming his scenes for The Deathly Hallows. In contrast, Harry became an adult in the wizarding world at just 17 years old near the start of the film.

Rupert Grint was 21/22 as he was recording his scenes for this movie, making him 4 years older than Ron, who is 17/18 years old.

Emma Watson is just a year older than Hermione at this point, Emma is 19/20 years old, while Hermione is 18/19 years old.

Draco was supposed to be 17/18 years old for the first part of the final book, but Tom Felton was already 22/23 when filming his scenes.

Neville Longbottom is also 17/18 years old for the Deathly Hallows book, while Matthew Lewis is 20/21 when filming. That makes him three years older than his fictional counterpart!

The Parting Of The Ways

  • The fate of Barty Crouch Jnr is unknown, as he is last seen being held prisoner by his former comrade Severus Snape and his being kissed was a critical part of Fudge’s denial that Voldemort was back.
  • Since the Hospital Wing scene was omitted, in which Fudge is claimed to have performed the Dementor’s Kiss and was doubting the story purported by Dumbledore and Harry, it creates a strange consistency error in the next film that just makes it seem like Fudge wanted to create a random smear campaign against Harry, even though he had not been told that Voldemort had returned at any point, yet he seemed to already know this during Harry’s later hearing. However, the only hint of the Ministry wishing to cover up the truth was mentioned during Dumbledore’s memorial speech for Cedric.
