The world of Harry Potter is a magical place full of wonders and mysteries. One thing thats always been debated among fans is how long the movies would have been if they were all released once instead of over a decade.
The answer to this question has never officially been revealed by Warner Bros, but on doing some calculations based on the length of each movie so far, one can come up with an estimate: 1178 minutes. Thats 19 hours without any breaks in between. It might be too much for one sitting, but it would be beneficial to experience everything in such an epic way.

Taking that into consideration, its worth splitting your Harry Potter marathon into two days rather than tackling it in one youre sure to fall asleep around The Half-Blood Prince!
Interestingly, the wonderful Prince Charles Cinema in London actually had a back-to-back Harry Potter marathon planned for May 30th 2020, but due to the current circumstances, the cinema is currently closed.
However, to give you an idea of what watching all eight films in a row looks like, the event was scheduled to begin at 8.30 pm on the 30th and end at 5.25 pm on May 31st.

And suddenly the series which had started out as a childrens movie descends into its grimmest hour. Death, fury, murder, torture, and the death of Dobby. The first of the films not to feature a trip to Hogwarts, suddenly life is much more dangerous for our exhausted magical trio. Theres no going through the motions here for the actors either. Without the safe walls of Hogwarts, real emotions and real tragedy is the order of the day, making Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 an impressive and genuinely emotional journey. Acting chops are challenged but theres a proper sense of gravitas to proceedings.
The decision to separate the final book into two movies pays dividends here as David Yates takes the right amount of time to line up the final movie of the almost decade long franchise. One particular highlight – other than the painful loss of Dobby, Mad-Eye Moody, and Hedwig – is the addition of a beautiful animation to explain the tale of the three brothers and the mythical titular Deathly Hallows. Helena Bonham Carter too is a livewire as Bellatrix Lestrange who heads into the follow up with the blood of Dobby on her hands as well as Sirius Black from earlier in the franchise.

The Rest Of The Harry Potter Series
The remaining movies from the series actually dont have extended versions, at least not officially. The extended versions of the first two movies were released with the Wizarding Collection, but there were no extended versions of the rest of the franchise.
However, there is a bunch of deleted scenes from the theatrical versions that were a topic of discussion among fans for many years. Most of these scenes according to fans would have made the movies much better, especially when it comes to the last movie.
There are many different scenes fans want to see released in the extended versions but there is a small number that gets mentioned any time the extended versions are mentioned.
The first one and perhaps the best-known one is Draco ultimately switching sides in the last move. Allegedly, the extended versions would feature Draco running across the Hogwarts yard once Harry reveals himself as alive and throws him his own wand.
A lot of fans wanted to see this scene featured since it serves as a good closure to Dracos are over the course of the series as well as make the epilogue of the story make more sense.
Another fan-favorite among the deleted scenes is the one from the last movie where Harry says goodbye to his cousin and his parents before they move away from their home.

How To Watch Every Harry Potter Movie
The Harry Potter movies are now available on NBCs Peacock streaming service. The films first made their way to Peacock in October 2020 but then left in November. The movies eventually made their way back to Peacock in 2021, but its unclear how long theyll remain.
Due to existing streaming deals, Vulture suggests that the movies may alternate between Peacock and HBO Max regularly through 2025. A new Harry Potter show is reportedly in the works for HBO Max, according to Variety, but its unknown whether the series will have any impact on the movies streaming home.
Peacock is a free streaming service from NBC. The base package offers a limited library of movies and shows that are ad-supported. With that said, there are also premium versions one that unlocks a larger library for $5 per month, and another with that same library and no ads for $10 a month.
