My favorite reason to stay on the Resort is for one-hour early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universals Volcano Bay . Just keep in mind that different hotels offer different benefits.
Eat At The Three Broomsticks Or The Leaky Cauldron
Lines for butterbeer can be nearly as long as the rides. If youre going to eat in the park, know that you can get a butterbeer with your meal at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade or the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley. The level of detail inside these locations is also wonderful and makes up for how much the fish and chips costs.
Also, you might expect the actual beer to be crap. Thats reasonable. But while the park wont disclose who brews their beer for them, they’re exclusive and actually pretty good. Trust us: you wont be disappointed you skipped the Stella and went for the Dragon Scale Red Ale.

Hogsmeade Village is also home to two of the most popular rides in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and also Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
Book A Universal Orlando Vacation Package
The second way to get Early Park Admission is to book a Universal Orlando vacation package, which must include, at the very least, accommodations and theme-park tickets. As far as accommodations go, you can choose from over 20 Universal partner hotels, which tend to be mid-range and quite affordable. We must emphasize that staying at a partner hotel alone is not enough to get EPA you must book a Universal Orlando vacation package, which includes both that hotel stay and park admission, to be granted the benefit. At Universal Orlando Resort, there are two different Harry Potter theme park lands, one in each park. While your Universal ticket purchase does include entry to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it is important to note that you will need separate entry to EACH park or park to park tickets.

Savvy parkgoers might want to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards and Citi ThankYou points to buy their Universal Orlando theme park admission. But, at least for now, this option may not be available when you search.
If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points for travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal at a rate of 1.5 cents per point. Or, if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, you can redeem for travel through the portal at a rate of 1.25 cents per point.
Historically, Univeral Orlando tickets have often been available through the Chase travel portal at rates comparable to Universals direct pricing. However, as of writing this article, we weren’t able to find any Universal Orlando tickets bookable through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal. So, although it’s worth checking, don’t get your hopes up.
If youve got a stash of Citi ThankYou points, you can use them through the Citi ThankYou travel portal to redeem for activities, including tickets to select attractions and theme parks. However, as of writing, we didn’t find any options to redeem for Universal Orlando tickets. This may change though, so check out the Citi ThankYou portal to review your options.

Ticket prices will start at $109.00 per person per day for one park tickets, and start at $165.00 per person per day for the park-to-park tickets. However, its important to note that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is actually an area split across two different Universal Studios parks Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.
If you have a park to park ticket, then youll be able to visit both areas of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on a single day and take the Hogwarts Express between the two.
Meanwhile, if you have a single day ticket to Universal Studios, then youll only have entry to the Universal Studios park and, with it, the Diagon Alley of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Alternatively, if you have a single day ticket to Islands of Adventure, then youll only have entry to the Islands of Adventure park and with it the Hogsmede area of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Some ticket packages provide you with multiple days at Universal Studios Resort but no park-to-park access meaning you can only spend a day at one park and not travel between the two.
This will allow you to experience both areas of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter during your trip. However, it will not provide you with the ability to ride on the Hogwarts Express.
