Dumbledore manages to save Harry from getting expelled and he continuous to Hogwarts, where Harry and his friends are met with the new DADA teacher Dolores Umbridge. She was sent by the Ministry to stop the rumors of Voldemorts return from spreading in school.
To protest the Ministrys smear campaign against Albus Dumbledore and to spite professor Umbridge for not teaching the students anything useful they band together forming a group called Dumbledores Army.
The group of students starts learning magic on their own in the Room of Requirement and is later discovered by Umbridge after she used the Veritaserum o a student.
The students lead Umbridge to the Forbidden Forest and make their way to the Ministry where Harrys visions are taking place. After escaping the death eaters they found there Harry discusses his prophecy and how it affects him and Voldemort with Dumbledore.

Newt Scamander’s debut in cinemas was a bit disappointing, let’s be honest. Although the change of location and the introduction of more magical creatures was welcomed, it all just fell a little bit flat. The most memorable moments of the movie revolve around Scamander’s interaction with “No-Maj” Jacob Kowalski, and sisters Tina and Queenie.
9 – ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’
Marginally better, if only just, ‘The Crimes of Grindelwald’ delved deeper into the wider Wizarding World by taking the action to Europe. The focus of the movie is again less focused on the magical creatures aspect and more on the big baddie Grindelwald. While the action was ramped up for the sequel, the rest of it offered nothing very new, except for Johnny Depp actually giving a decent performance for once. Strap yourselves in for more potential beige shenanigans because there are three more sequels coming down the line.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opened in first place on the international chart with $143.3 million in 63 markets. The film had the biggest opening of the Harry Potter franchise in 16 of those 63 markets, but ironically not in the U.K., where it had its biggest opening. The film debuted in first place there with $18.90 million in 666 theaters. This is the third best in the franchise behind the two DeathlyHallows films. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone introduced everyone to the world of Harry Potter . We meet 11-year-old Harry as he discovers that he is not just a neglected child, but a wizard. He then travels to Hogwarts where he meets his soon-to-be best friends forever, Hermione and Ron .
Quickly, our hero is tested when he learns that dark forces reside in Hogwarts trying to bring back He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, or for those brave souls Lord Voldemort. Chris Columbus directs this Harry Potter movie and really does a fantastic job of bringing new and old fans of the characters into this world. If this first film wasnt so well received, who knows if the franchise would have gained as much success as it did. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone really set the films up for potential success.
Weekend Prediction: Is Grindelwald Committing Crimes Against The Harry Potter Franchise
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the latest installment in the Harry Potter franchise, but sadly, its reviews are, by far, the worst in the franchise. It should still have no trouble earning first place and will very likely break even just on its international numbers, but this is still troubling for its future. The second biggest release of the week is Instant Family and its reviews are good, but not great. They are certainly fine for a family comedy. Widows is the best-reviewed new release, but its buzz is quiet enough that it will barely finish in the top five. Meanwhile, A Private War is expanding nationwide and that could help it earn a spot in the top ten, but I wouldnt bet on it. This weekend last year, Justice League opened with $93.84 million, while Wonder debuted in second place with $27.55 million. Add in The Stars $9.81 million opening and the three wide releases pulled in $130 million. However, Harry also makes plenty of enemies at Hogwarts, most notably the arrogant Draco Malfoy and the nasty potions master, Snape . And from battling a troll on Halloween to his first exhilarating Quidditch match not to mention the novels climax, in which Harry goes up against Voldemort for the second time in his young life theres never a dull moment in the first year of his new adventure.
Sorcerers Stone also perfectly balances exciting action with touching emotion, as Harry finds a true family in Ron and Hermione after years of misery with the Dursleys. Indeed, the books small, moving moments such as Harry being floored by a gift from Rons mother, or Hermiones tearful declaration at the end about books and cleverness are just as magical as the spells themselves.
