Nbcuniversal Is Launching Its Own Streaming Platform In July 2020
Fortunately for Harry Potter fans, NBCUniversal is launching its own streaming platform in July 2020 called Peacock. The platform will have popular television shows like The Office, 30 Rock,and every single Bravoshow.According to Vox, movies available for binge-watching include Jaws, Jurassic Park, E.T., the Fast & Furious series, the Bourne franchise, Billy Elliot, and Shrek.
Theres no word regarding when, or if, movies like Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone will join the library. Until then, Amazon Prime is the place to get your fill of the Harry Potter movie franchise. While you cant stream all eight Harry Potter movies with your Amazon Prime Video membership, you can still watch them through the service. Theyre available to rent or purchase. You will need a Prime account to stream them once youve paid for the movies.

From here, you likely know the story. Universal, arguably desperate to reinvigorate their Florida parks, agreed to all of Rowlings demands and announced their deal with the author in 2007.
Three years later, the first Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened to rave reviews. Both critics and fans praised the lands technologically advanced E-Ticket attraction Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, as well as its entirely book/screen-accurate version of Hogwarts Castle and the village of Hogsmeade, filled with land-specific products and nothing from the outside world. None of which would have been present in the Disney version.
The Harry Potter Movies Are Not On Disney Plus And Most Likely Won’t Be In The Future
The Harry Potter movies were produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of Warner Media, LLC , which is currently owned by AT& T Inc. Basically, Disney does not own the Harry Potter movies so they cannot have them on their streaming platform.
After Warner Bros made a deal with NBCUniversal in 2018, the Harry Potter franchise became owned exclusively by NBCUniversal. This is the same network with the rights to Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, the musical Les Miserables, and Pitch Perfect. NBCUniversal also has the theme park rights to this franchise, thus Harry Potter World at Universal Studios in Orlando.
Strangely enough, Disney almost acquired the theme park rights to Harry Potter but J.K. Rowling was severely underwhelmed by what the Imagineers over at Disney came up with.

The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Souvenirs
If you want to buy souvenirs, as guests of the Harry Potter amusement park, you should visit all the stores that you know about books:
- Sweetshop Honeydukes and Sugarplum for desserts.
- Zonkos joke shop.
- Owl Post where you can send e-mail.
- Dervishes and the Banges, which is full of robes, Gryffindor scarves, Corvonero shirts, and all kinds of items for sale, as well as fun details like books with cage bites.
However, keep in mind that all these activities can be small and get very crowded. Buy items confiscated from goods at Filchs Emporium in the lower regions of Hogwarts Castle which is a much larger store that sells a variety of items. Some Harry Potter items are also available at the large Port of Entry store near the entrance/exit to Islands of Adventure.
