When Do Ron And Hermione Kiss

The Toll Of Voldemort’s Horcruxes

Ron’s and Hermione’s Kiss Scene – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 [HD]

Ron later admitted that Voldemort’s Horcruxes had taken their tolls on him. This is no surprise to anyone, especially given how the locket Horcrux brought out the worst in him, though of course he ultimately rose to the occasion by returning to save Harry’s life and destroying that same Horcrux.

Despite the tolls taken by bearing Voldemort’s Horcruxes, as a family man and co-manager of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Ron seemed to do his best to cope and live an overall positive adulthood.

Rita Skeeter saw differently, though, and twisted Ron’s words into speculation that he had become mentally ill. She used his career change from Auror to co-manager of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes to justify her claim, also adding in that a lifetime of being overshadowed by Harry Potter contributed to his mental illness as well.

Rita Skeeter is an unethical journalist at their worst and yet she’s almost impressive in how she can turn the smallest words or deeds into a sensational story. At this point, Ron and many of his family and friends have become targets of Rita’s stories and haven’t let it hurt them. Ron surely followed suit. It certainly hasn’t damaged his spirit by the time of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Rons Jealousy Of Krum

The first time Ron ever realized he had feelings for Hermione was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. When before he had idolized Krum to the point that Rons brothers teased him for being in love with Krum, later he began to despise the legendary Seeker.

Due to Hermione and Krums romance, Ron went crazy with jealousy. It was his confusion at feeling envy over Hermiones newfound relationship that brought out the worst in him and he proceeded to ruin the poor girls night at the Yule ball. Hermione was surprisingly forgiving of Rons attitude and let it slide. But were not quick to forget how insufferable he was being.

Harry Potter And Ginny Weasleys First Kiss Was So Pure

Dedicated fans of Harry Potter waited until the franchises sixth film to finally see Harry Potter get his dream girl thats quite a long time but their first kiss was so magical that it was worth the wait.

In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry finally gets some intimacy from Ginny Weasley, and its just as lovely as you would expect. The two share a moment in the Room of Requirement, and Ginny gets bold. As Ginny backs up from Harry, she whispers to him to close his eyes. When he does, she goes back to him and kisses him with the softest, most tender kiss in cinematic history. Probably, anyway. Seriously, Harry and Ginnys first kiss was the definition of pure, and though it wasnt some passionate make-out session, it was still so sweet and showed just how much the two longed for each other.

Harry And Ginny’s First Kiss

This snog was long overdue but this was in no way their best kiss, and I was really sad that they completely changed this from the way it happened in the book! I don’t think the movies did this pairing justice, especially this scene. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy it finally happened, but it was definitely lacking the passion and spontaneity described in the books.

Rekindling A Close Relationship

The highly interwoven nature of Ron and Hermione’s family and that of Harry and Ginny’s family makes it no surprise that their children grew up together and became very close. Similar in age, Rose Granger-Weasley and Albus Severus Potter were particularly close. They thought that friendship would continue when they went to Hogwarts, as did their parents. Everything changed in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child when as expected Rose was sorted into Gryffindor and Albus was shockingly sorted into Slytherin.

Rose became popular while Albus became an outcast, his only friend Draco Malfoy’s son Scorpius.

Belonging to rival Houses was already going to be a difficult barrier, but their contrasting social situations only made it worse, as did Rose disproving of Albus befriending a Malfoy. Albus and Rose’s closeness as both cousins and friends sadly crumbled for the time being.

Before returning to Hogwarts for their second year, Hermione and Ron encouraged their daughter to rekindle her relationship with Albus. Even without being at Hogwarts, Ron and Hermione could see how Albus was struggling in many respects and hoped Rose could help him. Considering the intimate relationship between their families, they knew Rose and Albus growing close again would also be a relief.

The Nature Of Harrys And Hermiones Relationship

Now that weve presented the main characters of this article, let us see the nature of their relationship.

From left to right: Harry Potter , Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger outside the Hogwarts Express

Well, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger know each other from the start, from their first voyage in the Hogwarts Express. They met when Hermione entered the cabin where Harry and Ron Weasley had already been sitting. Despite Hermione being a tad annoying to the two of them, as the years passed by, they became the best of friends. All three of them were sorted into Gryffindor, they shared all the adventures together and formed an unbreakable friendship that lasted throughout the series.

It is well known that Hermione Granger eventually ended up marrying Ron Weasley, while Harry ended up with Rons younger sister, Ginny. But Hermione and Ron didnt become partners from the start. Initially, there were visible frictions between them, but somewhere after The Goblet of Fire both Ron and Harry started to see Hermione in a different light, although it was Ron who developed stronger feelings for her his jealousy towards Viktor Krum, Hermiones date at the Yule Ball, is well-known to the fans of Harry Potter.

Ron Enjoyed His Wedding Night A Bit Too Much

Like a true Gryffindor, Ron often acts first and thinks later. This tendency has served him well many times, like in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when without hesitation he jumped in a semi-frozen pond to save Harry from the locket Horcrux trying to strangle and drown him. Other times this tactic hasn’t worked out well for Ron, like in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when he tried to cast a Slug-Vomiting Charm on Draco Malfoy with a broken wand, a move that backfired horribly as pictured above.

Ron’s wedding night proved no exception to acting first and thinking later. In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, he recalls that he got very drunk before the wedding ceremony and has almost no memory of the night afterwards. The following morning may have been met with a scenario not so different from coughing up slugs and slime into one of Hagrid’s giant buckets.

The context in which Ron brings up this recollection is actually kind of sweet, though. He tells Hermione that because of how much he loves her, he wants to renew their wedding vows in front of lots of people–and to be sober during the whole thing.

That Kiss On The Cheek

Good luck, Ron, said Hermione, standing on tiptoe and kissing him on the cheek. And you, Harry Ron seemed to come to himself slightly as they walked back across the Great Hall. He touched the spot on his face where Hermione had kissed him, looking puzzled, as though he was not quite sure what had just happened.Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Usually, Ron displayed his feelings for Hermione via never-ending arguments, catty comments and jealous jibes. This particularly came to the forefront when Hermione went to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum, of course. But there were moments where we realised Ron liked Hermione in a far more subtle way, such as this moment of consternation when Hermione kissed him on the cheek before his big Quidditch game.

His reaction may have been mingled with pre-match nerves, but for many readers, this was the clearest indication yet that Ron had feelings for Hermione far beyond being best friends.

They Never Had A Big Fight

Ron and Hermione First Kiss | Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 [HD]

It is safe to say that there have been multiple fights within the group which have almost ended their friendships, except for between Harry and Hermione

. Throughout the series, the arguments that involve both Harry and Hermione could only be classified as minor disagreements, which always result in the two of them understanding each other rather quickly without any bad blood left to brew between them.

The closest the came to having a blow-out fight occurred when Hermione confiscated Harrys new Firebolt broomstick to have it analyzed by Professor McGonagall. This almost resulted in Harry losing his new possession, but he eventually understood her reasoning.

Ron Defended Her Honor And Got Slugs For It

A lot of the things on this list will make you question what Hermione saw in Ron at all seeing as he seems to have been a jerk to her quite a lot. But maybe she focused on the good parts of his personality rather than the immature ones. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the first hint of many to come of Rons feelings for Hermione was clear.

It took a slug spell backfiring for her to see how much Ron cared for her. At the time, it wasnt a pretty sight to see-with Ron belching out one slug after another-but it did pay off in the future.

Harry Potter: 20 Things Ron And Hermione Did After Deathly Hallows

Through Pottermore, interviews with J.K. Rowling, and the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the lives of Ron and Hermione are well-documented

Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are as much a part of the Harry Potter series as the Chosen One himself. Introduced from the beginning and standing by Harry’s side for years, Hermione and Ron became richly developed and beloved characters. J.K. Rowling’s beautiful writing for the characters was furthered by the perfect on-screen performances from Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. On the page and on the screen, fans got to watch their friendship grow into romance and see them mature from awkward first-years into young adults risking everything to save the world.

The Deathly Hallows epilogue made it well-known that they married and had children named Rose and Hugo Weasley. They remained close with Harry and Ginny, all four of them reuniting on Platform 9 3/4 to see their children off to Hogwarts.

The cherished nature of Hermione and Ron and the Harry Potter series as a whole means their story doesn’t end there, though. Through Pottermore, interviews with J.K. Rowling, and the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the lives of Ron and Hermione are well-documented both after Voldemort’s ultimate defeat and after the epilogue.

Let’s take a look at Harry Potter: 20 Things Ron And Hermione Did After Deathly Hallows.

Harry Potter’s Arthur And Molly Were The Perfect Couple And Shared The Sweetest Kiss

Ron and Hermione (The first kiss)

While the parents of the children in Harry Potter did tend to have pretty intense and important storylines, they were still never the main characters of the franchise. Because of this, it would be easy to forget their own unique love stories they had throughout all the Harry Potter films. Still, perhaps, one of the sweetest and most underrated couples in all of the Harry Potter universe would be Arthur and Molly Weasley, Ron Weasley’s parents.

The pair had been together for seemingly forever, though they were usually too busy taking care of their kids and trying to take down Lord Voldemort to really show any affection. However, in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, while Harry Potter visits the Weasley house for the first time, there is a very quick moment where Arthur leans in to kiss Molly on the cheek. It’s nothing wild or crazy, just the sweet affection of a couple that knows each other and loves each other no matter what. And, so, it’s one of the best kisses in all of Harry Potter, despite its brevity.

Do The Malfoys Hate Half Bloods

The Malfoys are prejudiced against muggleborns but there is absolutely no evidence that they have anything against half-bloods. They are not as extreme as the Blacks and the Gaunts regarding pureblood supremacy. The Malfoys for example do not engage in inbreeding and sometimes even marry half-bloods.

He Used A Book George Gave Him To Woo Her

After he realized his feelings, Ron still couldnt spit it out and was unsure if Hermione liked him that way, despite that being clear as day for everyone else. Perhaps George realized his little brother had it in for Hermione because he gifted Ron a book that taught one how to charm witches.

Ron would then gift the book to Harry after hed memorized all of it. Harry noted Ron using one of the pointers from the book on Hermione as well. It looks like Ron wasnt leaving any stone unturned to pursue Hermione.

The Deathly Hallows Part : Ron’s Jealousy & Abandoning The Trio

By the start of the Deathly Hallows, Ron and Hermione are all but together, and Harry seems to acknowledge that their relationship is an unacknowledged fact. However, the two don’t actually admit their feelings to each other, in part because they are too busy dealing with Horcruxes and dodging Voldemort’s forces to do so. However, they have some truly sweet moments , and Hermione is devastated when Ron storms out on them. He returns by the end of the movie, and admits his feelings to Harry , but not to Hermione herself.

Hermione Became The Defense Against The Dark Arts Professor

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy using a stolen Time-Turner with disastrous results. Meddling with time creates multiple alternate realities, during the first of which it is revealed that Hermione became the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. In this timeline, she never married Ron and in extension never gave birth to Rose or Hugo Weasley. She’s described as being a mean professor, though it seems she’s held onto her position longer than any of the Defense Against the Dark teachers did from when she was a student at Hogwarts.

The alternate reality is obviously intended to show a worse version of the magical world as a result of Albus and Scorpius meddling with the Time-Turner. With this in mind, it’s worth considering that an unmarried and childless Hermione is portrayed as mean. Harry Potter is in many ways a feminist story, but the suggestion that not marrying Ron and having children would make Hermione a mean person is not feminist at all. It’s also worth considering that being a Hogwarts professor doesn’t seem to make her happy either, while she’s portrayed as much more content working at the Ministry of Magic in the original timeline.

Them Ending Up Together Was Rons Greatest Fear

While this whole list has detailed the connection that Harry and Hermione share, there is no denying that Hermione ended up being happy with Ron. Neither of the two of them could stand seeing the other with someone else because of how deeply they felt for each other.

As Voldemorts Horcrux revealed in The Deathly Hallows, Rons greatest fear was that Hermione loved Harry more than him and secretly wanted to be with him. Living in the shadow of The Chosen One must have been very difficult for Ron, but he eventually understood that Hermione only had eyes for him and that Harry did not want to be with her.

Thankfully it has all worked out for everyone and both Harry and Hermione are happy even though they are not together.

And Then Of Course The Ultimate Moment

There was a clatter as the Basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermiones arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.Is this the moment? Harry asked weakly, and when nothing happened except that Ron and Hermione gripped each other still more firmly and swayed on the spot, he raised his voice. OI! Theres a war going on here!Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Hurray! No need to analyse this one. And we will always love that it took Ron saying a kind thing about house-elves to finally ignite their first kiss. Harry sums it up perfectly: is this the moment?

Well, these two were hardly ever traditional.
